August 24th 2012 Cruise to the Bahamas!!!!

I think we're having lunch at the Poly... Never stayed there myself, but Boo99 has ...

We have been there for the Luau and for dinner at Ohana but never stayed there. I just cannot wait!! :0)

We've been to Ohana as well. It was a lot of fun.

Had a group of our cruise friends over last night. All the folks from our 7th floor row of rooms... Lots of fun.

We decided to upgrade our room just a bit since so we will be now be in stateroom #8510. I read some room reviews and learned that our previous room was maybe not the best so decided to change. We are so excited to do a double dip and my DD can't wait to tell her BFF with the news (this is a complete surprise trip for her BFF). Can the FE coordinator, dizneeat I think, update the FE list please? Thank you. :goodvibes

August is going to be a fun month for us...

Just bought tix to "Brothers of the Sun" at Metlife Stadium for August 11!

Whoop!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Made my "somewhat triumphant" return (more like sweaty mess) to the gym today to get in a little better shape for this trip.

We've challenged each other to run the 5K on CC... so... I need to get it in gear.

I have been going to weight watchers to try and lose some weight before this cruise and let me tell you it has not been easy:(!! How many in you group are doing the 5K challenge?

Well... That all depends. I think our 7th floor group ... all of us SAID we are going to do it. We'll see what happens when it comes time to actually do it.

I'm sitting here staring at my screen trying to will myself to the gym today... but... it's not working (late meeting today... so it through a wrench in my day).

I finally paid off our cruise today:cool1:!!!
I know on 5/24 I can start booking things not that I know what I want/need to do!!!!
We will be doing the stingray encounter on CC, but I still haven't decided on which day.

Ramping up my running. Got almost to 4K today. Granted I walked about a 1/4 of it... but... I feel good!

It feels pretty good, doesn't it?
Booking on the website is easy IF the site works. :rotfl2: I will get to try it out on Friday. ;)
As you can see we are back from our trips to DLRP and Italy, but I am off again for a weeklong course I enrolled in. What was I thinking? :sad2: I will try to get online in the evenings, but remembering the last course I will more likely just fall into bed. :lmao:

WELCOME HOME!!!!
You are one busy lady!!! I hope the course is easier then you expect and we get to hear all about your DLRP and Italy trip!!!!

We paid off our balance last week as well.

Now, we're just waiting until May 26 so we can book excursions and maybe Palo (anyone know when we find out the dining rotations?). Also doing the stingray adventure on CC (not sure which day yet) and 99% sure we'll do the Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter on Nassau day.

Closing in on the 100-day mark!!! :yay:

We're still kicking around what to do in Nassau....

I don't know if you've looked at it, but the day we get to Nassau is going to be a doozy.... I would say, roughly... around 10,000 Cruise passengers will be in Nassau that day...

Disney Dream...

Carnival Dream.... (only in Nassau from 7 - 2)

RCCL Majesty of the seas

NCL Sky

and....

RCCL Oasis of the seas... (again... only there from 7 - 2)

Overall Port load... 10000+

Wow, that is a lot. Although, there always seem to be at leat 5 ships in Nassau. And you may be quite low with that 10,000 number - it may actually be over 15,000 (Oasis can have over 6000 by itself). I'll be glad to get a first-hand look at the Oasis. Just curious to see just how big it is in person. When we sailed on the Freedom of the Seas three years ago, it was the largest ship out there at that time. I remember getting to Port Canaveral and seeing it next to the Disney Magic and it just dwarfed it. So it will be intereseting to see the Oasis lined up with all those other ships.

lol.... I was trying to be optimistic.

I'm actually interested in seeing it as well.

Carnival dream is 4 - 5 K (depending on the trip)... Oasis is 6K... Majesty is 2 - 3 K... as is Sky... Plus our 4 -5 K.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just booked my onboard adventures!!!!!!!!! And by all the :woohoo: you can guess that I got what I was looking for! ;)
Cabanas for both Castaway Cay days :cloud9:
Palo brunch :cloud9:
Remy dinner :cloud9:

So far availability seems to be wide open for all activities! :thumbsup2

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you, who haven't made reservations yet! :goodvibes

I know we put in our request for Palo. We're trying to get the private room.

As far as the rest... I'm not too concerned.

Everybody told me I was nuts for trying to get a Cabana (too much money).

and the rest of the stuff isn't all that appealing. I'd rather just chill on the beach... Snorkel a bit... and watch my kids go nuts in the water and on Pelican plunge. :)

In 100 days from now... I'm guessing we'll be checking in at BLT!

Whoop!

Everything looks wide open at the moment, but then it only lets me check for parties of two. ;)
We just love having a cabana. The last few times without one I have been really having trouble with too much sun. (My skin is super sensitive to sunlight and so are my eyes.) So having a shady place to retreat to is just perfect for us.
The price is steep, but I actually don't care, we are on vacation. :lmao:

Whoop!

You just gave me an idea - I went and checked when we will check into the Contemporary Resort - only 97 more days! :woohoo:
