August 24th 2012 Cruise to the Bahamas!!!!

Bongo's on Sunday evening (the day we arrive).
Monday - Kona Cafe (lunch - MK day!!!)
Tues evening - Wave
Wed eve - Yak and Yeti
Thurs eve - GF Cafe....

I was not a fan of Liberty Tree when we went (about 5 years ago... during Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party)... we had a lot of fun though (Characters in costume, etc.)

I absolutely LOVE 50's Primetime. So much fun (good food too).

If you get a chance... try Whispering Canyon. It's a hoot... plus the Sampler entre they have is like down home barbeque heaven.

I'm seriously counting down now... plus starting my "gathering" mode... Gotta know where everything is, get new stuff for the stuff that we used last time... etc. etc.

Whispering Canyon is definitely on my to do list for a future trip. We are going to LTT on the day we arrive. Our neighbors will be in WDW for 2 weeks so we are meeting at LTT for lunch. Our flight will land just before 7am and the plan is to get the rental car and head to MK, spend a few hours on the rides, eat at LTT to escape the heat and then head to the hotel to check in. We ate at 50's PT on our last trip and it was fun and the food was good. I wanted to go to Brown Derby but since we are traveling with another family, I tried to choose a less expensive place.

My focus has been on the 2 cruises that are approaching fast but I have started to give some thought on what dd will wear while at WDW. My friend and I matched our girls last time so we need to start deciding soon. I also need to think about what I am going to do for the FE. This will be the first FE I participate in that I'll be flying so I need to take luggage into consideration. I am very grateful to not be flying for the Hawaii cruise because I will have one whole suitcase just for the FE gifts!

I've been busy planning the two cruises before this one! It has made me rethink think what I will do for our FE. Flying to your cruise leaves a lot of luggage issues! I may have to go through that huge FE thread to get some new ideas!

I hear you on the luggage issue! We are only allowed 1 suitcase each and we are travelling for 4 weeks. So FE gifts need to be small and light.
Have fun on your two cruises before this one! What ship are you going to sail on?

Ugh... luggage. We'll do fine with 1 per person (Jetlue, first bag is free). The fact that the villas have in suite washers is key. Thursday will be a laundry day after the parks...

When we traveled to Russia 3 years ago... we got slapped with a HUGE extra baggage fee. On the international flights, no problems... but once we switched over to domestic carriers, we had to fork over the equivalent of $450 US for extra bags (traveling for 3, but he wasn't with us yet).

WOW i can not imagine the planning that is involved in 3 cruises are the two you have in april BTB?
We are lucky we live in central Florida so luggage is not a worry for us!

Then 2 weeks after we get back, my friend and I will be leaving on the 2 week Hawaii cruise on the Wonder without our kids! I've never been on a vacation that long before. I'm really going to need to think about what I will need to pack!

Hi there, on the Disney Magic in 2009, they delivered us a pack n play type thingie. My son was almost 2 then, he laughed at it, used it to play jail for a bit and then we finally had them take it back and he stayed on the bed with big brother, they were pretty close to the ground. :0) There was no charge. I did see a post somewhere else that they have portable bed rails, but not 100% certain.

Getting into the swing... Ordered new Snorkeling gear from Amazon this weekend. Travel fins (shorter wider blade), Dry snorkel and a mask.... I think it's US Divers. I do have equipment... but its dated.... plus I shattered my mask by accident.
