Silver booking window should open 5/26.

Returning cruisers can find out when your booking window opens by logging on to the Castaway Club portion of DisneyCruise.com and click on 'View Your Cruises'. Once you click on the Reservation # for the cruise, a screen will be displayed that shows your booking and on-line check-in dates as well as other information.

First time DCL Cruisers can use this link to get access to the same screen:

Was also holding out on Amtrak announcing a summer deal for kids on the Auto Train…. in the past it's actually been "kids free" on some summer promos… Just got the email today - $39.00 each way for kids…. Not too bad….

The email I didn't get though was that Amtrak changed their definition of children - lowering it from 15 and under to 12 and under…. so alas our DS (15) is now an adult!! Bottom line - with a AAA discount the fare is less (at least online combining the $39 fare special with AAA adults wasn't working) than pricing it with their summer special. And, oh, Amtrak's summer ends on August 28, too!

I set up Magic Express for our pre cruise BLT stay and our post cruise stay at BCV. I am renting a car to get to the port, since I do want to go to church on Saturday.

Air fares were not a bargain. The one day, one way rental car is about $90.

I've been looking up Ohio candies and have found the one I'm going to give out in this exchange! If our list grows much more, I will be dividing the group in to two. My guess is that 8-10 would be a good number for each.

Hi All

Just an FYI

I just got off the phone with DVC and DCL about the Itinerary issue and the Platinum reservation date for excursions and such. When I look up the cruise in the "My Reservations" area, it still shows as a "normal" 4 night cruise. DVC and DCL confirmed that it is in fact a double dip at Castaway with a sea day between. The itinerary issue is known and is correct internally within the DCL system (but not on "external pages" listing the itinerary) and according to DCL the booking of excursions and Palo will work fine (i.e. the itinerary will be correct) when the window opens for Platinum. Let's hope they are right!

Looking forward to our first Member Cruise!

This will be the second DCL cruise for DH and me but our first Member Cruise! We will be doing a split stay pre cruise - 8/17-8/20 at VWL and 8/20-8/24 at BWV with DD, DSIL, and 4 wonderful DGC! But the cruise is just for Grandmom and Grandpop! (We will need it after a week in DW with a 7 year old and 3 year old triplets!) So excited about this cruise! Can't wait to make new friends and have fun!
