Our cruise must be getting close...

I'll do my part! BTW, how's DD's knee?

We are going to be onboard the Magic for about a month. I am a bit nervous and excited all at the same time. Hope I don't grow my own Mickey ears, but that may not be so bad. hahaha

Wow, when exactly do you board, and when do you disembark? And, if you do grow those Mickey ears, at least we will all recognize you.

I think the meet is at 2:30 in the Promenade Lounge. Please offer a correction if I am wrong.

So this is the weekend of DH's annual sojourn to the Pocono Raceway for Nascar. I have the added bonus of my sister taking my kids for the weekend! My dear, single, has no kids sister asked me if I wanted to consider another weekend, because what would I do all weekend alone? I'm going to clean my bedroom (which will make me happy), watch a movie with no one interupting or complaining that they want to watch something else, go shopping with no one complaining they are bored, meet a friend for lunch, etc. The possibilities are endless, although alot to pack into 2 short days.

Anyone interested in meeting up to walk from time to time on board? I understand that 3 times around Deck 4 is a mile. I've been trying to walk everyday to keep off the weight I've managed to lose. I keep a pretty good pace, although I do have short legs so my fast pace may be a little slow for those with long legs.:) I'm thinking that if I promise to meet someone, I'll keep it up on the ship.

Sorry I was going to post this and forgot, we will be there from around 2:30.

Only 6 days to our flight now. Have to do someones wedding flowers tomorrow then I can relax and look forward to our trip, won't be much work to do next week. :goodvibes

Boy do I have a lot to catch up on!! I have been totally immersed in the play my children were in and the preparations leading up to opening night. It just closed and I'm trying to get things in order around here.

I am sorry for all of the lost jobs, swine flus, bar exam preparations, surgeries, etc but soon we will leave all of that at the port and be blissfully at sea! :cloud9:

We don't leave until the 19th, and my dh will have his laptop with us, so I'll be on until the end. We will be at the Radisson at the port on the 20th and 21st and definitely interested in a pool side pizza party or the like.

As for Pirate night, YES!! We love pirate night. We will all be dressed as pirates! (Even our dog has a pirate costume, although she won't get to use it this cruise) Since we are driving, we can pack them without worry. On our past Disney cruises there have been tons of families dressed as pirates. I am wondering if the baggage fees will lessen that number this time.

There seem to be a lot of families driving from NJ. We are among them!! We are from Mt. Laurel and will leave Wednesday when Jack gets home from work. (I'm guessing around 4pm). Just have to time it right so we don't get caught in the rush hour traffic around Washington DC.

As for adult evening activities, that sounds great to us. We are looking forward to DisneyQuest, talk about an ice breaker!! I actually forgot about 70's night. I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Terri

I loved to meet up and walk. I have been walking our puppy 3 miles a day. It is always so much nicer to walk and talk with someone.

Erik and Matt have been at scout camp since Saturday. They are coming home tomorrow.

I spoke with Erik last night. They are having a terrific time and the troop has won many awards.

Matt is excited because he earned his small boat sailing merit badge. We told him that if he did, we would rent a sailboat at CAstaway Cay.

Marina and i have been having a girl week. We have done lots of crafts and makeovers. Her friends on the block are on vacation, so I have been her entertainment. We went to the zoo one day. We got to feed giraffes.

I have been working on my FE. I only have a few more hours and I am done.:cool1: If I had known how long this would take, I probably would have done something else.

BTW, how's DD's knee?

Thanks for asking, Denise :)

The doctor removed a broken-off piece of meniscus almost 3 cm long! Something that big floating around inside the knee was responsible for almost all the pain she had been experiencing.
Kirstin is walking around with crutches, and the swelling is mostly gone; hopefully in another week she'll be almost done with the crutches.

She is also having her first experience with vicodan; for the last two days she has been very mellow.

nice man from fedex cames today
with our tickets or should I say laggage tags.
the packs seem to be gettting smaller every time we cruise.

Great news, hope ours arrive before we leave. Going to do online what I can this weekend.

I was just about to ask if anybody had received their final packet yet. How about anybody in the US?

In the past I have seen posts from people saying they received their packets about four weeks before their cruise, but here we are 22 days out and we haven't received the packet yet.

I'll see you all in three weeks, one day ;)

For our Feb. cruise, the tickets arrived at the TA the day before we left. I ran out of time and did not go and pick them up.

Hope you are all having a good weekend, rained almost all day here today, so miserable our weather just now.

Got a lot of stuff packed today, Pirate outfits, snorkelling gear, FE & gifts, all my clothes, Matts clothes. Just Karen to put her clothes in now and we are done. Can't wait for that Floridian sunshine.:cloud9:

I don't know why but am still having problems posting on here. Some days I can post and others I can't.

We board on the 8th and disembark on September 5th. I just might have my ears by then.

Thanks for the info on the meet. I hopefully will see you all there.

We want to wish everyone safe travels and fun times. See you onboard!

we are now into single figures we have 2 days to go.
:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
we are so excited, I cannot wait to sit in the sun and relax.

:grouphug:I would just like to confirm that we are all planning to meet up at 2.30pm in the promenade lounge on the saturday.:grouphug:

look forward to meeting you all

The kids are home, and DH is heading home, despite the Pocono Nascar race being postponed until tomorrow. Although it is sunny right now, we had quite the storms today. We even had a tornado warning. I can't believe how rainy our summer has been. It's been unusually cool as well, although it's been pretty warm of late (but even still, over 90 is rare). I'm hoping the unusual weather does not follow us to Florida.

Can't believe it is only 20 days until boarding. I starting putting some stuff into the kids backpacks to keep them busy on the plane. Does that count as starting to pack?
