August 22nd 2009 Western Carribbean Anyone?

Also, we'll hold our get together in the Walt Disney suite on the first sea day which will be Monday. Let's do it at 2pm. So come on by. I'll have out some bottled water and sodas and some snacks.

Think you might have a busy cabin:rotfl2:

I have just printed off Marias list for FE gifting, thought I would double check all details and came across an error. See quote below, Shelley and family are in cabin 7508 Not 5502. Hope everyone sees this and changes their list, its from a while back, just taken me 20 mins to find it.

I am still up for the FE although my room number has changed. We are now in #7508 which I am very happy about. We were just down the hall from there last time we cruised and we loved the location.

Thanks for having the get-together, KC. We'll look forward to meeting everybody in the Promenade Lounge at 2:30 Saturday then in your suite at 2 Monday.

Driving home yesterday I was disappointed to have not received a call from my travel agent, but the call came at lunch today so I am anxiously looking forward to visiting the TA on my way home then seeing what's in the packet :)

Crazy question? Do you have a dress code for your get together?
Christi

Did I just hear someone in the peanut gallery yell "Toga Party"? :rolleyes1

I can't see coming to the party empty handed, is there anything I can bring?

(Before I take this too far, red high heels go with togas, right? :))

Thank you so much for the invite. I, too, can not show up empty-handed (what would my Mother say ) I have an idea of something to bring, but would you prefer booze?

Maybe this is a good excuse to have some fun and wear my wedding gown again?

(Only two days to go until the big day! I fully admit that I've had other things on my mind and haven't started putting together FE stuff yet. It's OK to do a small thing per cabin as opposed to per person, right?)

Have a wonderful wedding! It looks like you should have a great day weather-wise (at the very least not the great floods we had last Sunday).

Considering the weight restrictions for luggage, you may want to skip the dress, but I would think your bride and groom Mickey ears to be totally appropriate.:bride::groom:

Have a great day. FE gifts entirely upto you, no rules on gifts:thumbsup2

Wondering if anyone can help me. We have friends who will be on another cruise line, but we will be in port with them in Grand Cayman. We want to meet near the port and then head over to a beach. I'm just wondering if anyone knows a good meeting spot near the port that will be easy to find?

I'm almost done my FE gifts now so I am feeling a bit more relaxed. My son is looking over the computer at me right now and he says that I look like this:
:surfweb:

The documents arrived today and I just blew the surprise with one of our kids .... I sent my eldest to pick up the mail and he saw the sender and correctly concluded we are going on a cruise ... although he may keep the secret from the other kids.

Now he's willing to help me pack in secret! Maybe there is a good side to him knowing ...

We're counting down now .... 12 days and counting till we leave. See everyone soon!

If Vijay is willing to help you pack in secret, I am sure he will at least try to keep the secret for now.

You forgot to give us an important piece of information - how did Vijay react when he figured out a Disney cruise is in his near future?

See you all in 17 days!

Vijay was pretty excited but said he "knew something was going on". He loves disney, so he's happy. Apparently he overheard DH talking to our babysitter about it, so was already suspicious. Either way - HAPPY! He went and got his pirate outfit out from last year already!

It's my experience that the oldest one LOVES to know something his sibling(s) don't. :thumbsup2

I love all the "dress" ideas for our party in the Walt Suite. Wow, I haven't heard the phrase "toga party" in a long, long time. :hippie: So the dress code is officially now "anything goes!!!!!".

Bring whatever you like - nothing is required. I know there are wine glasses in the room. Just need a bottle opener.

Mackie.....wow, just two days until your wedding!!!! I'm amazed your still reading the DIS. That said, reading the DIS is the best stress reliever I know and doesn't give you a hangover.

Wouldn't it be great to wear your wedding dress on the ship! :bride: Its a shame that brides don't get other opportunities to wear their wedding dresses. Seems a waste for all the time, money and effort that goes into obtaining one (including getting a groom!!!).

Shelly....I give you a tremendous amount of credit for keeping the cruise a secret. There is no way I could do that.

Well this is my last post from home. Taxi picking us up in just over 6 hours so need a few hours sleep.
Going to be along day up at 4am, then the full day sat in airport lounges and airplane seats, at least we are lucky to get business class the whole way there and back this trip. Expecting to get to Old Key West about 11pm tomorrow night, which is 4am UK time (in other words 24 hours from waking to sleeping)
Will be having Internet at OKW but 3 of us with 1 connection means I won't get much DIS time.
Will keep reading even if I don't post.
Safe travels everyone.:goodvibes
