We are going 8/1-8/4 for the start of my daughter's sweet 16 trip! My husband and daughters have never been to DL so I'm hoping it's not too packed and we are able to enjoy it.
We are going Aug 12 - 16. We go to Disneyland every 2-3 years, so it’s been 3 years since our last visit. We considered delaying by another year to try and avoid the craziness but we really didn’t want to wait! I’m bummed ROTR may not be open when we visit. The kids were so excited and now I’m trying to prepare them to expect to not ride it. I am now very nervous that we might inadvertently be there when ROTR opens. I’m so thankful for this board. I feel like a lot has changed in 3 years, so I have a lot of preparing and research to do. Will be keeping close tabs on how SWGE access works.
Welcome everyone who has just joined the thread! I think I have added everyone but as always, please let me know if I missed you.
Just as a heads up, I am going away March 19-26 and will likely not be online that much but I'll check in when I get home.
So...it seems as though most, if not all, of the crazy early planners here are not first time visitors! If you are new to DL and have questions, please post them...I have no doubt that someone here can answer for you.
I’ll be there around the 18th through the 21st! Still working on exact dates My cousin is getting married in San Diego on the 17th and I figured I would tack a little Disney trip on the end since why not?! Haha!
Will be there 8/27 to 9/1 for my GD 1st visit to DL.
Booked airfare today
After looking at the onsite hotel rates, looks like it will be my first visit staying offsite. Slowly wading thru the likely suspects. Will keep checking for specials but with SW figure it’ll be a full house.
We're booked in for our 3rd trip in 3 years (and we thought we were only going once, ha!) We haven't decided if we are driving or flying but I have a hotel booked 8/11-8/17 with park days M 8/12 to Fri 8/16. Fingers crossed ROTR is open and the crazy crowds are manageable for our 4 kiddos. I *just* got home from my 1st Disney World trip in over 20 years ago and while I enjoyed it, I want to go back to Disneyland! My toddler asks daily if he can go see Mickey and I cannot wait for him to see his pal Mickey on our first park day.

Add us to the list. Using our DVC Grand Cal points for the first time, August 18th-22nd. We would certainly appreciate it if all the kinks with SWGE could be figured out by then
Hi! We're going to be there Aug. 15 - 18, right before DS11 goes back to school. We're AP holders from NorCal and hope this trip will be less busy than our 4th of July week. Can't wait to see SWGE!
So excited to be going back to Disneyland! We did the Mediterranean Cruise last year and WDW/Bahamas Cruise the year before, but Disneyland is home Headed there on 8/22/19.
I've already had to change my travel dates twice because my silly work keeps changing my availability. August is untouchable, though, so we're set! I'll be there August 11-15 with my two daughters (8 and 5), my husband, my parents, and possibly my brother and his family. This is a first for most of us. I'm hoping it won't be completely nuts! That's why I'm here, though- trying to learn all I can!
