I really am waiting for the free dining to come does everyone think this magical deal works out better if we want to add dining?.

With the August offer you can not add dining. Park tickets (discounted) Yes... dining no.

If you are asking either the offer or free dining being the better deal, so many things weigh into that decision that it's hard to answer not knowing anything about you.

For my family, we saved more on a split stay at the YC & Poly last August then with free dining as offered. And we ate as we always have

Whenever we've done free dining, you have had to do a magic my way package in order to get it. So room at rack rate & park tickets at full price. So we've stayed moderate for the DDP or Value for QS. Deluxe was usually more then we wanted to pay for the "freebee"

The DDP will go up in 2015 - adult price per day from approximately $58 a day to $64. (according to what I've read)

I got the "magical" deal quote for Poly and WL and they are really great rates. However, I'm keeping my FD bounce back package at POFQ. Even though the magical rates are fantastic, I'm still saving by staying at a mod with free dining. Planning on lots of character meals with my kids so the FD is better for me.

Does the free dining bounce back start Aug 20th ? I was thinking of trying for free dining but I dont think it will be available for the public when we arrive on the 16th. Usually they have the same dates as the bounce back dont they for their specials ?

Like a PP said you can't add the DDP to this deal.

I am going with the magical deal since it comes out to almost 60% off the room. We just can't beat that deal. Along with the savings on the room our 8 day park hoppers for 4 people is about $100 cheaper than UT. We also get one free fun day to DQ, mini golf or one of the water parks.

We've outgrown the DDP since my DS is a Disney adult and we don't eat according to the DDP. So it works for us.

Like others have mentioned, the magical deal can not be combined with the DDP. Works out for us to pay OOP in August. With the heat I really don't see us needing that many ADRs. It just seems so heavy! And technically it's not "Free" when it's offered as free as you end up paying the full rack rate of the room. Free Dining at a Mod might be the same as this deal with the Poly std and a few ADRs actually. We priced out POR preferred with an estimated 20% discount based in 2014 rates, and the Poly Std view came out better. Something to consider. I feel like our park touring will be more flexible now too other than maybe 1 lunch ADR we are considering. Either way, I would factor in some cost for food into your decision, whether it's with a discounted or non-discounted room rate with FD. Weigh your options.

I just booked a MAGICAL 10 nights at the Poly for $2650 less than rack rates! Works out to an almost 55% discount. Free dining would only save us $1820. Woo-Hoo!

You will LOVE it! We stayed on the magical deal at the YC/Poly this past August & it was wonderful!!! The proximity to HS & EPCOT was perfect & both SAB & the quiet pools - delightful!

We are headed down in February to do a Pop/Wilderness Lodge stay & are excited about that

Have been trying to decide about our August magical split... Poly for sure - can't decide the other half CR, GF & the BC are all on the table...

You have to book through a travel agency whose website can't be posted on DISboards. You can PM me if you'd like the details. But, it's a legit, Disney authorized agency -- they buy up blocks of rooms at various times of year and resell them at convention rates. Other than CM discounts, I don't know if you can get anything cheaper.

We changed our dates and resort......7 glorious nights at the polynesian! Hopefully most of the construction is done. Never stayed at the poly so we are really looking forward to it!

We are in for the deal too and I have convinced my sister's family to join us as well! Can't believe we are going to get a chance to stay at the Poly! My dh has been wanting to take our little one back since our 2013 offsite trip but wanted to stay at a monorail resort which I thought there was no way we could afford it. Our dates even coincide with his 4th bday so it is almost too good to be true!
