August 2015 flight Prices

We booked flights last night through last minute for LHR-EWR and returning MCO-LGW for August next year for just over £1200 per person PE. We are in NYC for 3 days at the start of the trip for a wedding.

I just need to book flights for EWR to MCO once JetBlue release them. But I expect them to be less than £100 each.

Whilst it's more than we have ever paid for flights looking at the prices I am fairly happy and just relieved to have them booked :goodvibes

Hi... We booked about 2 weeks ago with TC direct flights from Manchester to MCO, 19-8 / 4-9.. 2 Adults & DD (10) total cost £1850... Happy with that we paid about £2300 for direct flights this year....!!

Really confused now! Just looked at Tc website and it's not letting me look at return!! The outbound flights are there but the return ones aren't ? Looking at similar dates 19/8 to 5/9 ish (depending on price!)
Is it worth booking TC now as Virgin have yet to release these dates to return for a flight only.... And I'm wondering if I should book now or not?!? Travellers include me DH dd (5) and dd (20 months)

Any help appreciated!!!

Ignore me- the website was playing up!!! Return is now showing but the return price for one is nearly as much as the outbound for all of us!

Rubbish!!!

Any advice still on when to book? We've always gone virgin before but out of school hols but now we are tied to them:(

:cheer2: woo hoo just booked our flights :cheer2:
10-31st August 2015 for £3910 for 2 adults and 2 children and it's with the fab extra leg room seats. A lot more then our usual September/October but seems a good price from what I've read on the Dis.
Can start to get excited as official now :cool1:

In 2013 I booked with Delta indirect via Boston. Good layover times (2 hours) £420 per person, first day of school holidays for 22 night. I booked this at the end of October. This year I booked in January with American. £600 going on 6th August for 23 nights. Excellent layovers in Miami (2 hours on way there, 90 minutes on way back).

They were the best prices I saw so I wouldn't worry too much yet as plenty of time if willing to fly indirect. I have given up on direct. In 2012 I paid £800 premium economy both ways with Virgin, those were the days!

Just booked our flights :cheer2::cheer2:

Going direct with virgin from Gatwick Wed 12th August - Sun 30th August total cost £4350 for 5 of us. Really pleased as flying direct was coming in at over £6000 yesterday. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Sorry so excited I had to share. :goodvibes

Well done, we fly on the 11th come back on the 30th, late flight out, earlier flight back. Glad to have the flights booked so we can start the planning proper!

Looking at flying out on the 14th and back on the 29th. Not booked anything yet though but we do have a cruise booked from the 22nd - 29th :)

:goodvibes

What are people paying for August 2015 flights (Direct). We are looking to go for 3 weeks next August, Is anybody getting flights for less than £1000 pp?

bit late now - but in the recent virgin sale - doing miles + money
Premium economy in may half term was coming up at £4500 for 3 adults and 3 kids. oddly economy was more expensive - but used less miles.

thats over now

1 step closer to booking - we have flight on hold 4/8 - 21/8 2 adults 1 child £2600 miles + money. Gotta do a bit of jiggling tesco clubcard points and order discounted virgin vouchers through husbands work 5% off better than nothing. Fingers and toes crossed and I'll stop stomping around like a toddler.

Oh my it's gone down in price twice today so I've been updating reservation with virgin now we are at £2400 and change. Just need to make sure I don't miss the postman tomorrow during the school run!

I have just added flights to my disney holiday which means the whole holiday is now Atol protected. I paid £3600 for 13th to 30th August next year and paid just a deposit. I won't be going this time of year again!

Cancelled plans and waited in all day for my before 1pm delivery of vouchers which you guessed it didn't arrive. Now we have to beg Virgin to hold price for another day. Scared!

Thankfully Virgin have extended hold til Friday, and breathe.
The sales guys and gals have been really helpful.
