Who is going to Disney world next August? What date are you going? How long for? Where are you staying? How many of you are going?

We are going from August 3rd and will be there for 2 weeks, staying at the AOA resort, and there is 3 of us me, my mum and my partner! Very excited!

What park/parks are you most looking forward to visiting and why?

For us MK as we are yet to see wishes everytime we have been it has been something other than wishes!
We are also looking forward to DHS for 3 things toy story mania, tower of terror and fantasmic :-)
And possibly the most exciting part.......... Discovery cove! None of us have ever done this before and have heard such great things about it so we are super excited for this!

Lastly is anyone celebrating anything whilst out there?

It is my birthday the day we fly home :-( but I shall be celebrating it whilst out there anyway!!!

Anything else you want to add is fine :-) happy planning everyone!!!!

We are :), myself, DH and DD who will be 13. Also going with overlapping dates are my brother and his family (partner and two daughters) and our friends with their two children.

We arrive on the 8th, staying at the Wilderness Lodge for 17 nights, then 4 nights cruising.

We'll be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary (I was a child bride, honest!:rotfl:) although it's actually not until the 2nd Sept. but as a teacher I have to be back by then for school.:teacher:

Not sure I can narrow down what I am most excited about...probably Wishes (but I fear if I mention that, they'll go and replace it...), also, it's our first time cruising so am pretty excited about that too :)

We fly to JFK and are having 3 days in New York. Then we fly down to Tampa, pick up a car and have 3 days in Clearwater before driving up on 17 Aug for 2 weeks in Disney staying in a 1 bedroom apt at OKW.

There will be me, DH, DD16 and DS who will be celebrating his 11th birthday the day before we fly home.

The last 2 trips we have done Discovery Cove which although we really enjoyed won't be doing again, just because twice is enough for us, but you will love it - it's so nice to have a relaxing day in the midst of the hecticness of the disney parks!

Looking forward to seeing the expansion of the new Fantasyland and can't wait to see what the new Test Track will be like - hope it will still be one of our favourite rides.

Always look forward to a couple of cheeky drinks at the Rose and Crown, and last visit we went to Raglan Road for the first time - that is now one of our all time favourite bars in the world, and I don't mean Walt Disney world!!! Enjoyed listening to the live music and watching the dancers, the food was excellent and hubby was happy to sample the Guinness :lmao:

One other thing DH, DD and DS will be doing is hiring a seaplane as it was one of their highlights (I HATE flying so they dropped me off at the mall first). They flew over the area north of Orlando and landed at a place to have lunch where they get to make their own pancakes, but best of all they all got a turn flying the plane, which for my son who is plane-mad and wants to be a pilot was just the best! It's payable by the hour but you only pay for the time the engines are working. They all said it was one of their best days ever and really want to do it again.

Just can't wait to be back there, I am more giddy than the kids!!!

Hi:goodvibes

We are flying out from Gatwick 8th August - staying at Hyatt in Orlando airport first night then staying at Hard Rock Hotel for 2 nights ( been twice before and front of line passes and fab hotel make the extra cost well worth it!) then 12 nights in a lovely villa - 3 bed, pool and hot tub looking over a lake with a 10 min drive to Disney! This is our 8th trip - 4 pre children and this is the 4 th post children lol :cool1: it's me hubby and 2 kids aged 11 and 14. It's is the most amazing family holiday you will ever have - I am a planner by heart and i do think that planning ahead and looking at best days to visit certain parks will truly enhance your stay especially in the busy months to which August is one of them!!

Wishes has to be our no 1 thing to do , very much looking forward to revamped test track, spiderman and hopefully transformers! We have been lucky enough to have done discovery cove on last three trips so we are giving that a miss this year but well worth the extra £ to do it:thumbsup2

As a family we spend so much time talking and planning out WDW trips the kids are a perfect age to plan and challenge each other with new rides etc ... We have bought the hidden mickey book to for Xmas so we can add a whole new dimension to our visit - we did a bit of this on our last trip and it was brilliant and so exciting when you found one :rotfl2:

I could go on and on!!!! Happy planning!!!:cool1:

Leave 22nd July for 22 Nights.
Flying indirect with Delta for first time but at £415 each I couldn't justify paying Virgin Prices.
Staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, this will be our 5th stay. Love this place. usually stay here or SSR but SSR now so expensive and we need a 2 bedroom which makes it evn more expensive. I actually think we prefer Bonnet Creek now. Very relaxed, 5 pools, 2 lazy rivers. Lots going on. Next door to Carribean Beach so great location.
Brother family coming for first tme including my 6 year old nieces (twins). So am really looking forward to doing lots of girly things (our son is 12).
Doing al the parks as my brother will be there, would probably only have done Disney if just us.
Looking forward to the new Test Track, New Fantasy Land, Seaworld (haven't been for a while). Being on Popeye ride at IOA and not telling my family they will get soaked! Seeing my nieces dancing with the minions and meeting real life princesses. Oh just everything really. 10th trip since 2005 and nowhere close to ever getting bored with it.
Will celebrate my husbands 52nd birthday on 2nd and my sons 13th on 12th.

Flying out on the 18th of August for 2 weeks, staying at AKV. We will stay at the Gatwick Hilton the night before flights. Looking forward to all of it. Cant wait to start making ADRs. Hope to try out the refurbished spa at the GF.

Good morning all I am flying out from Heathrow on the 29th July to the 14th August I was another person that was not going to pay Virgin prices so have booked with united at the fantastic price of £430 each heathrow - newark - orlando same home and we got really great times .

We are taking our best friends with us this year to our home in Orlando for there first time which will be fantastic for my son 15 as they have two sons 14 and 18 so will be a whole diffrent experience for my DS , a little bit worried that they dont get the same fellings we do when we are there but I am sure Disney will works its magic .

We have two clebrations while we are there my friends wedding aniversary on the 4th August and My birthday on the 7th  , its my dream come true to be in the happiest place on earth for my birthday and this year I will get my wish .

Have a great holiday everyone going the same time and only a few more weeks and we can all say that we are going to the magic THIS YEAR :cool1:

We're flying on the 9th and staying at OKW for 21 nights. Don't have flights yet as the one of the flights that I'd booked with BA was cancelled, so I cancelled the whole booking. Hopefully I will get them booked soon!

We're also at OKW for 2 weeks, flying 15 August. First time at OKW and first time in August too! :)

we there too 24th aug , 1 week DVC not booked

We will be off site for 6 nights at Caribe Royale then on site at OKW in a 1bdr apt for 14 nights from the 8th. Lots of us at OKW it seems!!!

There's a few of us at OKW at the same time!

We're going 25 Aug for 2 weeks, flying indirect with Delta from Manchester (Just over £1800 for me and DH, DD aged 18 and DS aged 15), staying at OKW for the first time.

It's our 20th wedding anniversary on 14th August so we'll be having a bit of a celebration while we're there. Also wondering if it'll be the last big holiday DD has with us as she'll have just left school after A levels and will be looking at going off to uni (she sent her applications in this week!).

:cool1:

we too are at okw (free dddp woohoo) from the 6th for 2 weeks, celebrating dh s 40th bday...

still looking for flights tho, so expensive at the mo!

We are popping back for some well earned vacation time 19th August-2nd Sept 2013 staying at Disney's Yacht Club (water view) flights with KLM/Delta which were much cheaper than using VA and even allows us to break up the journey and stretch our legs . We are really looking forward to this one since we have never flown indirect nor have we ever stayed at a Disney deluxe resort before. We do plan on leaving the parks and going to the dark side for 2-3 days and finally have the chance to go to WWOHP and do all the stuff DS was too small for on our 2005 trip ... Yeah it's been a long while since then and he just turned 13 at the weekend so we have to wait and see if he will try more new things including meals since he is now on the "adult" tariff for meal credits and tickets!!! We are busy checking blogs and fan sites and podcasts and reading dining reviews until February and waiting for the official park hours and WDW Dining Plan info before we decide on our ADRs. So it's fun to plan but DS has no idea which resort we booked yet, it was his favourite place on our last vacation purely because of the fantastic pool. Of course the location is great too, the resort thread is well maintained and friendly which is also a bonus. We are counting down the days between now and then and enjoying our Disney Christmas ornaments and plush toys around the house it reminds us of the great feeling of being there.

Oops I forgot to say we are celebrating my birthday and our 20th Wedding Anniversary while we are there too.

Almost An August trip! 20th July to 4th August ..... Flying VA with friends and staying at the same villa as last time:0) really nice place on Calbria, Westside 192 ..... Hope to see some of you out there. Also going to Rome in May to celebrate our 20th Anniversary too.

Sharon

We fly 26/08 to New York & then down to Disney for 9 nights on 3rd Sept - so those of you in 1 bedroom villas at OKW leave them tidy as that's where we're heading too:thumbsup2.

Cant wait to see new Fantasy Land, ride Test Track & enjoy 'free' DDP.

Last holiday with kids as they'll both be off to Uni (fingers crossed) the week after we get back.:scared:

We're going August 12th for 20 nights. We too aren't paying Virgin prices this year and are flying in direct from London to Houston to Orlando.

Can't wait, I know the drive back to Liverpool when we land in London will be horrendous but we're going to Florida!

:o)

We are going on the 17th August for 13 nights staying at the Grand Floridian. Flying from Manchester with Virgin even though we booked through Kenwood (got an amazing deal!!!)

Not sure if we are celebrating anything yet but i'm sure we can find something!!!
