august 2013 codes for rental cars?

I put in your dates and times and got $206 for an standard SUV. +50 for the membership means $256 all-in.

Wow, very tempting. :scratchin

Just mentioned it to DH, but he doesn't want to stray from his beloved Alamo :headache: (we had a bad rental from Budget at Christmas, and its lingering in the back of his mind......we have had two great rentals from Alamo, with no problems so far).

Ah well, he asks for so precious little on our vacations, I will pay the extra to keep him happy. Hopefully it will continue to decline a bit more before we leave!

So excited.. got a RAV4 (or equivalent) from Aug 19-30 using CAA and the Florida special! Thank you sooo much!!!!! :)

Booking cars is exhausting. I have a minivan booked for later this week - 2 weeks for $617. It seems much less than anywhere else. Is that a good deal or am I missing something?

I just got my lowest rate yet! Alamo standard SUV from 8/22-8/27 for $212, being an insider and using the $30 VISA code.:woohoo:

8/8 to 8/22.

I tried that link and still came up high.

I've tried Alamo insiders and visa coupon and still all high.

The reservation I have is with national using the compass code.

Do you have CAA or BJ's code?

I plugged in your dates and got..
$332.60 for a minivan.

Put in the PC code of 181591 for the Florida summer special

No, but AAA and Costco!

$332 for two weeks?! That's amazing. Is that with a BJ's membership? I need a regular size car also, so would be worth membership if so.

Thanks so much!

I think I managed to get $349 for a minivan -

Discount code: 32796
Promo code: 181591

Is that right?

Not sure you would be willing to switch to a standard (which is really a fullsize at MCO) but you can get the rates down significantly with Alamo. Of course, if an SUV is important, disregard :)

I just got an unbelievable rate with Hertz (FL rates) through BJ's for a minivan 8-10 to 8-19, $229 total. I have been searching for weeks for a friend. Hope this helps someone :)

I see you were the first poster to mention this code on this thread so wanted to thank you as well! :goodvibes

HUGE thanks to those who helped me specifically and those who posted codes etc.

Tonight I saved a ton of money:

My minivan rental went from $617 to $349
and my Midsize at $459 went to full size at $271 - both for a 14 day rental.

I used the Hertz 181591 and an entertainment book coupon.

That's a savings of $456 - so I'm very grateful!

Thank you all!!

I got my one day rental down to $40.00 with Hertz. Picking up at MCO dropping off at PC. I wanted to see if I could get a better deal with an Entertainment code but WTH is going on with that site? Anyone else an Entertainment book/website member? They redesigned the website & now the coupon codes don't come up anymore. Pretty much makes the book useless to me as that's the main reason I purchase it. Not a happy camper. I did leave feedback & it looks like I'm not the only one who hates the new site. All the feedback was negative.

I noticed that too. What a disaster the new "revamped" site has turned out to be.

A quick FYI to everyone--I have been following (and occasionally contributing to) this thread for about 6 weeks now...I am (sadly) not going to WDW in the near future, but we do have a trip to Sanibel planned for this weekend through the 17th, so we are flying into Fort Myers on the 10th.

My rates have been pretty high all along, but this morning my National Emerald Club with the $25 off a weekly rental coupon (ND3265FFC) have sent my rates much lower than I've seen them with any company since I started looking about 5 months ago when we booked the trip. And we will be landing in Fort Myers in less than 75 hours!

So, the moral of the story is....KEEP CHECKING THOSE RATES!

Good luck to everyone, and thank you all for your help on this thread!
