Nice! What a good feeling that is! I started to breathe when that "zero" balance showed and did a happy dance. I am still recovering...
Now staring at the ADR's. Also, looks like we're gonna be at CRT together :) we'll have to snap a pic! Have a wonderful trip!

...And STILL sitting here, staring at the ADR's like something is going to suddenly jump out as a bad decision, somebody STOP ME....step away from the iPad... LOL

Does anyone know where I can get a couple of cute sun dresses? Our company is having a party on a boat tomorrow night and thought I would be more comfortable in a dress, plus I thought I could use it in Disney.

Old Navy!

With the blessings of dh and our teenaged twin dd's, I am taking our youngest dd on a surprise birthday trip to WDW from August 10th through August 17th. We will be staying at BLT villas the first two nights and then Kidani Village the last five nights. The twins had their 7th birthday there. We always told our youngest she couldn't have her bday there because we didn't want to go in August but it worked out that we had just enough points leftover for a week in a studio and tickets that we didn't use plus airfare was cheap so she will have a bday in WDW afterall!:wizard: She will turn 9 on our last night!

Our plane arrives at 8:30pm. We will hop on ME, head straight to BLT, check in, drop our bags off and head straight to mk for Emh!

We are in for August as well! Staying 13th - 20th....6 of us with a 2bdrm villa at Jambo House. Super excited...last trip was marathon weekend. Seems like years ago! :thumbsup2

Sounds like it is going to be a great surprise.

Put the iPad down and step away slowly

I've seen cute ones at JC Penney, Kohl's and Old Navy recently.

Old Navy!

Old Navy! Love Old navy!

I guess I will check Old Navy on my way home.

I LOVE KOHL'S!!!!:worship:

I love Kohl's too. I was there last weekend and didn't see any sun dresses that I like, of course I wasn't looking for sun dresses at the time, so maybe I should go back just to be sure.

SO excited!!

Got an email yesterday that our "documents" have arrived at the CAA office!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

And this morning? The doorbell rang nice and early - our passports have arrived!!

And the Disney site says 32 days until we check in!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::yay::yay::yay:

So ours will maybe arrive next week or the week after. We also booked through CAA and we leave for Disney a bit after.

I'm with you. I have changed the time for our 1900PF ADR 3 times now. And every time I look at my list, I kind of wish I still had the first time slot back (it's not available now!)

I just did my packing list. I have everything for the trip on one excel spreadsheet. There's a tab for park schedules, one for ADR conf. #s, one for each day where I have our tentative touring plans, one for my grocery list, and now one for my packing list. I listed all the bags we are taking (4 carry ons, 4 "personal item bags" and hopefully the rest will fit in 1 check on- stupid baggage fees :headache: ) and then listed what will go in each bag. Yeah, type A here (I even alphabetized the list- I need help :rotfl: ) But I want to make it so that if our room isn't ready when we get there, we can just grab one bag with our swim stuff in it and head for the pool, and leave the rest with Bell Services.

Does anyone know if there are any stores in Ontario, Canada that carry Teva's? I just know how much it will be to ship to Canada (and may take a while too). I just really like the sound of walking on clouds lol. Was planning on wearing my crocs but this pair that I have dont compare to the last pair I wore on my last trip to Disney - these are causing blisters and really, a pain.

Since Im too knuckle-headed to figure out how to multi-quote, this for the peeps who asked about the Tevas...........I take a 6.5, I ordered a 7, and they just fit!! I also have wide feet (Ive been told I have "Wilma Flintstone feet") but the straps are pretty stretchy so no problems there. I had them shipped to work so Im walking around the office in them even though they dont match my outfit:goodvibes The people at work are saying "there goes Penny in her Disney shoes!":rotfl2:

Too funny! I wear a 7.5 and I tried on an 8 at Famous Footwear the other day and tried them on and my feet JUST fit too, but I didn't like that. My foot had to be pushed all the way up so my heel wasn't over and you couldn't even see the shoe on the sides of my feet (and i dont have wide feet imo) I was afraid of twisting my ankle. I'm not the most coordinated person. :rotfl2:
I also didn't find them that comfortable. They didn't have a 9 in stock to try. I wonder if I tried on the wrong ones. :confused3 They were Teva Mush II. I've read only the II are narrower than the original, maybe you lucked out and got original? Where did you order from?

Amazon sells them online. They ship internationally, don't they??

Emteach: I was in Sports Authority on the weekend and I'm almost certain they carry Tevas there. they also had Sanuk Yoga Mats, Keens, etc.

ALSO~ The Teva flip flops have arrived!! Its like walking on pillows!!

I just got my Tevas in the mail - but hesitating on them. I think it's because I was cheaping out and ordered the kids size. it fits - but I'm worried the ribbons will bit into my feet. Might end up sending it back. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Z9KBB6/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00

I also have a pair of FitFlops on order. They're $50+!!! It;s hurting a little - so I will see. I'm trying to find the perfect pair of Disney shoes and ordered several and am now trying them on to see which I like best. So far my fave is a pair of Jambu Touring heels for $99 (OUCH!!!). They're beautiful, super comfy - but I'm worried about durability and what happens if the nubuck leather gets wet in Orlando's notorious afternoon thunderstorms.

Photopass: I'm still debating about this. I may attempt to start a share on the FB group, but am afraid the kids will see my post.

If you're interested, just PM me as I have an FB share going and can add you without posting your name publicly.

Unfortunately we don't have any children. DH would love to do the training academy though. I guess we will have to be content to watch. I was just wondering if they did meet and greets like other characters in the park.

When I was there last Jan, the Storm Troopers were having a Meet n Greet next to Jedi training. Darth Vader also met. I have pics with both. This was in the morning as we were waiting for Jedi training to start (the first group).

Ugh. So indecisive. Is anyone else bringing a laptop (or waffling over making the decision to bring it or not?)

I spend a lot of time surfing in the hotel (mostly on Disboards) esp. if I wake up early or if I'm not ready to sleep and everyone else is. I actually created a cozy nook in the closet area behind the divider curtain at Pop where I "hang out" while my family sleeps. I'm way too excited to sleep at Disney!

I have an iPhone and DH has a Droid, so we can get online for banking and, of course, checking lines on the touring plans and Disney Mobile magic apps! If we were driving, it'd be a no-brainer! Just the thought of standing in line at 5:30 in the morning and having to take the laptop out of its case, in addition to taking my shoes off and helping DD with her shoes, and all that hassle... Just not sure if it's worth it.

3 words - check-in luggage!!! If I don't expect to need our laptop on the plane, we pack it in the check-in luggage - in a case and carefully packed. The trick is to make sure you don't underpack the luggage as things get banged around then. A full luggage (not overstuffed!) is much better and clothes will have less wrinkles too.

I bought the regular ones. Got them from the Teva site. I dont see why they wouldnt ship Internationally. They were $25 and free shipping

That's pretty much the boat I am in right now. I keep looking at my ADRs and looking at the park schedules and trying to make sure I have it all figured out exactly how I want it to be (I don't, btw, but it is as good as it is going to get).

Also, we changed our dates! Now going to be in Daytona from 8/23 - the morning of 8/25 then driving over to CSR for the Disney part of the trip (8/25 - 8/30). I am really looking forward to this trip.

Ok I got a package today!!!:yay: I had ordered some capris, shorts and a sun dress from walmart on line. Today's package included my

1) Danskin navy capris- not too bad, comfy if not a little heavy feeling for August Disney and no pockets. They will be Ok.

2&3) 2pair of White Stag capris- one navy and one brown. Very lite weight and comfy with drawstring and pockets. Love them and I will be able to wear them to work in the fall and spring. Winners!!

4) Sun Dress- maxi dress in blues and greens and white. Fits so nice and lite weight. Fits perfectly so no bra straps show (I know TMI- but I have a pet peeve of showing bra straps :confused3) My daughter says it makes me look skinnier- It's a keeper :rotfl2:

I have a hard time with these items because I am the pooh-sized individual, short (5'0") and overweight (no I will not tell you how much I weigh) so these items are VERY hard for me to buy. Capris usually end up looking like slight floods on me, not a good look, but these work well at calf length. The dress is for our Yachtsman Steakhouse reservation on our first night and will only be worn for that. With my sandals on, it is just the right length. YAY for me, I finally bought something online and don't have to return it. There is a first for everything!!!:lmao:

Yep! The thread the other day about comfy shoes to wear had me googling - Soft Moc http://www.softmoc.com/ca/softmoc-footwear carries a good portion of the brands they were talking about in the thread.

AND if you order online, it is free shipping to a store near you for pick up.

I like to go try on though, so I'll be hitting the mall soon!

Thank you so much. I love it!!!

August hours have been updated. I'm currently checking the week of 8/17 - 8/24 and so far DHS is opened an hour later and a 2nd Fantasmic show has been added everyday for that week.

I'll have to check out the hours! Thanks for posting this :)

I keep going over my packing list (and over and over and over it) and I can't seem to decide whether or not to bring my laptop. The only thing I can see me using it for is to upload photos if my SD card starts to get full. But then I think I can just buy an extra SD card and save the luggage space and hassle of getting my pc through security. It's a big 17" screen PC that's heavy and bulky and doesn't travel well. But then I think "what if there's something I HAVE to do for work while I'm there?" But then I think "you're on vacation, you're not supposed to work!" And then I think "but what if it's raining all day one day and you're stuck in the room with nothing to do and want to get online?"

Ugh. So indecisive. Is anyone else bringing a laptop (or waffling over making the decision to bring it or not?)

We started bringing our Asus netbook last year and we liked going on it in the mornings before we headed out to the parks.
I know it's a different story with your laptop because you said it is very bulky and doesn't travel well, but I would bring it. You wouldn't want to be worried about having something to work on something.

Thanks- I didn't think of that. Doesn't it still need to be taken out of the bag for Security, though? That's the worst part of it for me. Especially since DH works at the airport, so he'll be parking our truck in his work lot and meeting us at the gate- so I'll be alone with the kids through Security. With 3 carry-ons and 3 "personal item" bags. At 5:30am. Heck, who am I kidding? I won't be able to stay offline for a whole week! We'll just be "those" people who take for freaking ever going through Security :)

Hi All!

I talked my DH into letting me take our two oldest boys (6 and 5) to DW by myself, right before school starts, and I'm so excited! Hopefully our 2 year old son won't freak out too much with me gone (he's SUPER attached!), but it'd just be too hard to take all three of them, and not lose one of them, by myself. :/

We're used to hot and humid (from TX), but the boys aren't great swimmers yet, so I'm debating using the pools during our trip. I'm not sure how we'll keep cool if we don't swim though.

Anyway, we'll be there just from the 21st-25th, but this is our third of four trips in 2012, so I'm ok with the short trip! Bring on Florida in August!!!

Doing the happy dance.

We just got back from the mall. We've been collecting Disney gift cards for every occasion we could think of for the last year and a half...birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, Easter... We're usually pretty careful to put the amount on them, but we wanted to check the amounts on 3 cards at the Disney store.

They were $25, $50, and $100!!!

That brings our total up to $1200 in gift cards. That should come pretty close to covering our meals for a week, even with one table service meal a day

The points from our Disney Visa should cover spending money.

And the money in our Vacation club will cover our stay at the Beach Club. Everything else-- flights, park tickets, insurance-- is all paid for already

So we should come home with little to nothing on the credit card.
