I didn't know POR did marshmallow roasts!! Happy dance! Do you when and where?

The campfire and marshmallow roast starts at around dusk until around 7:30pm. It also says that s'mores kits are available for $7. Figured I could sell chocolate and graham crackers for half price and make a fortune if I bought a box of each for $5 total. ROFL just kidding! My DS actually suggested doing that!

ok,here's our schedule:

8/20 ck into Pop around 11:30am, lunch at AoA so we can ck the place out and then its off to Epcot for afternoon touring, ADR at TeppanEdo 6:20 and Illuminations!

8/21 MK (RD) ADR lunch @ Kona 12:00
8/22 Ck into POR, laundry day and swimming. Back to Epcot for anything we missed before.(Its my DD's fave)
8/23 AK (RD) DTD for dinner at WPE and shopping and , of coure, dessert at Ghiardelli's)
8/24 DHS ADR lunch at 50's PT @12:30

My vacation excitement has kicked into high gear..It's going to be a loooonnnngggg 6 weeks. Hey I just realized I leave 6 weeks from today!!

I still haven't managed to score the elusive Ohana ADR. It will be our first trip without one. There's always next time I suppose.
I haven't listed my ADR's in here because I am sure we will change some of them. There's a few I am not too excited about so they'll probably end up changed.

Ok here is our planned days:

Wed. Aug 22: Fly in that morning,check in then off to MK
Thurs. Aug 23: EPCOT, will try to be at rope drop
Fri Aug 24: HS, will be at rope drop
Sat. Aug 25: AK will be at rope drop pretty much due to early ADR at Tusker
Sun. Aug 26: Last day so MK is normally our choice. This may change.

I figure we'll be checking in by 11:30. Gotta get right to sleep to because we have an ADR at Ohana at 7:35 lol

Are you all ready yet? It seems no matter how ready I think I am, the last few days are a packing/cleaning/organizing scramble. For some reason before I leave for vacation I clean like a maniac. I like to come home to a spotless house. Makes the post vacation blues easier to deal with I guess.

I am 11 days behind you!

I'm going! We were going to wait til 2013, but decided to go next year instead. This is a big trip with my DH, DD3, DS1 (they'll be 4 and almost 3 when we go), my mom, my dad, my brother, and my sister-in-law. We'll be staying off site at a house in Indian Creek because with our size group, it's MUCH cheaper and with the savings we're staying 10 days instead of 7!

We're starting our trip at the very end of July and going til August 7 or so. We've picked out a house and found someone on the dis that's staying there later this month so we can get a review of it before we book.

Um, I wouldn't say I'm all ready yet. I'm not ready AT ALL. I'm very surprised at myself because I usually start to pack like a month before. I'll probably start to pack 2-3 weeks before. Or I'll just wait till the last minute. I'm not sure why I haven't started getting stuff together. Oh wait, I've been on the DIS 24/7! That's right!

And you are getting really close to your trip too!

If we weren't on the dis getting ready then we would be just nuts. Lol. I'm currently prepping for a 10 day road trip to Houston. We will bar back less than 2 weeks then turn around and leave for FL.

My plans
8/8 arrive at 11:30 get car, head to hilton bonney creek, connect witj dh who will have been there since 8/5, then comando to MK
8/9 rope drop and comando to all 4 parks
8/10 check out and drive to Key West and relax!

I've taken to clicking on my user name and viewing my statistics to "find all posts by elaine amj" and then clicking on my last post in the thread and reading onwards from there.

I wish there was a function on the forums to "view last unread post". Other forums I have been in have this feature but I have not been able to find it on the DIS yet. (If there is such a thing, PLEASE point me in the right direction)

How does everyone else follow along this thread?

I'm on an iPad so I just leave the window open for my DIS treads and they stay where I leave them and yes this thread is moving very fast! I wonder if they will mention us on the DIS podcast.

Anyone else find the Disney World site countdown wonky?? It says I have 44 days til my vacation but my countdown app on my phone and my personal calendar at home says I have 37 days to go. Oh well, I am going by the lower count.

I seem to recall if you click refresh it will help with the wonky countdown.

When it comes to quick serve meals one thing that we do that is fun is as we travel around the world at EPCOT is we get a small meal in every country. Then both of us share our single meal this way we get a sampling as we eat around the world. With two days at EPCOT we are able to hit just about every CS spot in World Showcase.

We have one EP day with no ADRS just for this purpose. Now to get DH to agree on some places so we can try twice as many and not seperate foods.

For wdw site, I just click find reservations then hit cancel and it updates correctly. Last years trip, It kept loosing my ADRs and I kept panicking.

Has anyone done a list yet anywhere of where everyone is going to be each day? I know Nikki did a really helpful ones of ADRs each day.

If not, I'll be happy to do one up. I'll also ask if you plan to be there for RD (so us crazy RD'ers can hunt for each other). Hopefully, this will be also helpful to arrange DisMeets!

And for those who "wing it", just post your overall vacation dates and I'll have a "wing it" list.

Just list:

So, I have resized the LGMH and laminated it to put on my lanyard with my KTTW and tix. I will be on an ECV so may make one to put on there too
