The ticker is moving so quickly now... less than a month.
So, if things don't go 'Terribly Wrong' here's our planned schedule

Aug 7: Airport shuttle Pickup @ 9:00
Wait several hours as our flight is delayed....
After landing, take the mini-rail over, go outside, take a deep breath of humidity and diesel, and say "We're home." :rotfl:
Then board the Tragical Distress to ASMu, where our room won't be ready, so we'll grab something to eat.

Aug 8: Animal Kingdom EE, where we'll split up and do ExE single rider as many times as we can before our Safari breakfast with the Donald
Go back to the resort, and call for a pickup to get the rental car. Head out of the World for Dinner & Supplies!

Aug 9: Start out at the Studios, after a cheap and nourishing breakfast at 'that Scottish Place' (aka McDonalds)
Tour til lunch; PTC - being just as naughty as we can manage, without getting stood in the corner :stir:
'Rest Stop', probably in the Bellvue Room, or some quiet corner at the YBC. Wander over to World Showcase, and snack our way around the edges.

Aug 10: Future World EE, and a leisurely stroll over to Canada for an early lunch
Down time after Lunch, probably hanging out by the pool for a while.
Try to head back to Animal Kingdom in time to catch the parade (which we never have), and order from FTBBQ.
Stay til closing, and go somewhere else - maybe over to a MK resort to catch the Electrical Water Pageant.

Aug 11: Out of Parks Day. Something a little different today.
Mini-golf, little boats, maybe a trip to the Outlets, DTD, people-watching... Head home, and dress up for dinner at Jiko

Aug 12: Magic Kingdom ~ Dumbo or Drop
in @ 8:00± out by 2
back at 5± out after midnight
Breakfast at McD's again (probably), Lunch at Cosmic Ray's, or at a MK resort, Crystal Palace for dinner - here's hoping 3rd time's a charm - I've been sick twice when we had plans for dinner here.

Aug 13: Park at DHS, walk to breakfunch, either at Garden Grove, or Captain's Grill, unless we change our minds.
Go somewhere, Do something - or nothing. Catch up with anything we missed. Pack for the trip home :(
End up in DHS for EMH
No dining plans today - it's whatever strikes our fancy, that doesn't have a 2 hour wait.

Aug 14: Breakfast at GF Café - a tradition rarely broken.
Wander around the World until it's time to drive back to the airport and start planning for the next trip :goodvibes

Of course, all but the ADRs are subject to change depending on weather, attitude, and /or personal well-being. Heck, they might change, too :rolleyes1

So, I have resized the LGMH and laminated it to put on my lanyard with my KTTW and tix. I will be on an ECV so may make one to put on there too :goodvibes

That looks awesome!

That looks great!

When it comes to quick serve meals one thing that we do that is fun is as we travel around the world at EPCOT is we get a small meal in every country. Then both of us share our single meal this way we get a sampling as we eat around the world. With two days at EPCOT we are able to hit just about every CS spot in World Showcase.popcorn::

That is a really neat idea!! I definitely think we'll try this or a modified version of it for this trip. We spend quite a bit of time at Epcot as it's everyones favourite park in our family.

We actually decided to do the same thing, even if we have to pay OOP for a few snacks. We have one ADR at EPCOT (decided to stick with Garden Grill) but the other night that we go, we are going to eat our way around the world. (Drink, too!) :)

We definitely wing it most days. I am a compulsive planner. The weird thing is, once I am on vacation, I want to relax and take things as they come. We usually decide where we will go the following day once we are back at our resort for the night. We always get the hopper option on our tickets and will frequently go to more than one park a day depending on what we are interested in doing. I do try to be somewhat near where our ADR is for supper come the afternoon so we don't have to rush while dealing with Disney transportation. We all know how inconsistent that can be!!!

Speaking of that, I need all of your help sending some pixie dust my way. I am the nurse manager of a 52 bed geriatric psych unit and I'm required to be present for the survey...even if it means not going or coming back if I am on vacation :headache: Our survey is due any day now and I have been a nervous wreck worrying that they may end up coming late this year, causing me to have to cancel our trip. If everyone could send some good thoughts and prayers our way I would appreciate it. I really want to be able to relax and know that it's behind me. 46 days to go!!!

I was thinking of winging this year, but made a "preliminary" plan. We actually winged it for our 1st trip and it was a blast.

Sending prayers and good thoughts your way so you won't have to cancel your trip.

We're getting so close August friends!!!
Only a few weeks until some of you leave!! Of course there will be us stragglers at the end of the month all lonely in here:rolleyes1

My vacation excitement has kicked into high gear..It's going to be a loooonnnngggg 6 weeks. Hey I just realized I leave 6 weeks from today!!

I still haven't managed to score the elusive Ohana ADR. It will be our first trip without one. There's always next time I suppose.
I haven't listed my ADR's in here because I am sure we will change some of them. There's a few I am not too excited about so they'll probably end up changed.

My excitement has kicked in too. I really do feel like a kid sometimes.

I thought I quoted the "sausage" story. Anyways, I loved it and it brought tears to my eyes.

I know I'm behind on people who posted their ADRs and I"ll get to that later today but I need some advice pleeeeease!!

So AP rates that were out previously went to August 14th. They just released the next set of AP rates that start on the 17th. Can you guess when I'm checking in????? The 16th, of course!

So, if I wanted to save a whopping $50, I would have to do a separate reservation on the 16th, the a reservation from the 17-23. No guarantee we'd get to stay in the same room. PLUS, we are at CBR and it's SUCH a pain to get to the Custom House to check out and check back in. PLUS, last time we did that at CBR, they had our ME all messed up so that was a pain.

I love $50 but I'm wondering if it's even worth it for the amount of anxiety this will cause me.....

It sounds like you've almost answered your own question, but here's my thoughts: $50 is not that much in the grand scheme of a WDW vacation. Further, if you look at the value of the time you'll spend making/changing the reservation and then checking out/back in (which you said isn't easy), then it's probably not worth the $50. Personally, I'm very protective of my time while at WDW, and I don't like to "waste" it doing things that I can avoid. And once you add in the stress of dealing with the process and the anxiety of possible ME problems, seems like an easy decision - stick with what you've got, avoid the stress/hassle, and look to save the $50 elsewhere!

Good luck deciding! :thumbsup2

$50 to me isn't worth the hassle.

$50 dollars not worth it for all the additional hassle IMO. $100 is where I start messing with things to save money. Everyone has their own bottom line but your time and peace of mind are worth the $50 in this instance I think:)

That's frustrating. I would be all about an extra 50 too but if you might have to switch rooms that seems frustrating. I'd rather just move my reservation back a day (then stay an extra day) if you can do that without causing more money to be spent. Also that would mean one more day to wait til you get to disney. So its up to you is 50 dollars worth your time and hassle or not? You can always pretend you never saw the new rates. :rolleyes1

As for me last night DH got some comic shirts and a new hat. He didn't want any Disney shirts and he already has some star wars and an avengers tee (as well as some metallica and other graphic tees. He basically lives in graphic tees and jeans). We also need to get him some pants but since he's on a diet and loses like an inch a week (so not fair how fast guys lose) I don't want to buy him any pants til next month. The shirts will likely be too big as it is. OH and I got myself a Wonderwoman tee. lol I hope it fits, its an XL but its juniors and those are hit and miss. I know its the wrong 'brand' for Disney (DC instead of Marvel) but I wanted another cute shirt to wear.

Oooh my Disney shirts came the other day. The both fit snugly I'm hoping they losen up a bit before our trip (i too am on a diet) but they do both fit and are super cute! :)

Are you able to get the GP rates and save some money? I was going to stay at As Sports and we got the rate if $499 for the week using the % off code for Aug 15-21. Give that a try if you hadn't already:)

Thanks guys!! This helped a lot!!! I'm not going to do it!

Yes, I was able to get the GP rate which is why the AP savings is only $50 more.

Thank you!!
