Welcome - you will enjoy this thread - everyone knows so much. I see you are one of the "crazy morning people", too. We are leaving Buffalo at 6:05 am on August 17th!!! My DH thinks I'm nuts, but I say, hey, if you can start your Disney fix by 9 am, all the better. We'll definitely crash early that night, but I love those early direct flights!!

Thanks for the welcome!:goodvibes Yes, I am definitely one of those "crazy morning people", my DD21 is the same way, but I can't say the rest of my family is! However, they are quite happy when we are in Florida by 9:30ish! I love starting my vacation with nearly a whole day in WDW.:thumbsup2

Hey all! I posted my dates and hotel a while back but didn't know you were having such fun with QOTD! I'll have to check back more often!!. We're going August 15-24 and staying at ASmu. It's our first time to go for over a week and it's also our first time to go to US/IOA. We decided it would work best to go mid-trip and spend the night onsite there at RPR. I'm an uber planner, so I've been keeping myself busy making t-shirts for each day, dining invitations and an autograph book for my boys! We too are the crazy early morning people, so we should be in the parks by lunchtime the first day. That night we're going to Mama Melrose and we also have ADRs at Biergarten, Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's and Cafe La Bamba (a character breakfast at US). We've been to Mama and Biergarten before and I'm excited to go back to them! The other three we've never done. I think I'm most excited about Chef Mickey's because I've seen it on every trip on the way to MK and I've always wanted to go! I'm really excited too because my youngest DS is a HUGE Mickey fan. I just hope he likes the "live" characters!

Glad to join the fun!!

just remove the "." before the first URL. You can change the wording also. Then copy and paste to your sig. :goodvibes

I will be at ASMu the 16th to the 19 and then move over to BLT. My dh is so crazy. When I told him the we are getting to Orlando at 6:30 his reaction was we can go to the parks. I had to tell him no we can wait until the next day.:rotfl:

Oh Fun!! I'd love to stay at BLT sometime! Looked into it for this trip but decided an extended trip was more important than a better room! :)

I'll be posting our t-shirts I'm making as the trip gets closer (once I make them!). Maybe you'll see us in them and we can say hi!!

80 days until our trip!:)
Still wrestling a bit with where we should stay. I know.. shocking:rotfl:
The plan right now is a tent just inside of the Transportation and Ticket Centre. Swing by and say "Hi!" if you see us:roll eyes:

Ok so .. Question of the day time!

What is your favourite Disney Park and why??

Mine is Epcot! I love wandering at my own pace and just looking at things. I also love that if it's a busy day you can still experience so much without having to stand in lines. I seem to discover something new every time we go! Last trip I finally wandered around the gardens in Japan, and saw the candy lady doing a demonstration. Dd thought she was awesome!
And I love how sometimes in the World Showcase it's just about being in the right place at the right time to see a performance or something special:)

Mine is Epcot too for all the reasons you mentioned! Especially the "being in the right place at the right time" part!

My neice and nephew were here for the weekend and discovered disney trivia on my iPhone....they had a ball, and we made countdown chains....76 days....My ticker is now one day off but I don't want to update t b/c it will be way on the left again when it is finally looking like we are close to going.

What is your favourite Disney Park and why??

No idea yet, lol. Mom and 9 year old neice are most excited for AK...anyone know how much Wild Africa Trek is? I know mom wants to do it but she nevers spends money on herself!

DS can't decide what is most exciting but cannot wait for Rock 'n Rollercoaster b/c it will be his first upside down coaster! He is 48.5 nches now.

I am excited for MK.

My favorite disney park of all is actually California Adventure. I just LOVE that park. It has some of my favorite rides and I enjoy the laid back feel of it. Second would be Disneyland park. Nothing can beat walking into Disneyland and seeing that pink castle followed directly by the Matterhorn!
However, this trip we are going to Disney World and my favorite park there is actually Epcot! I really love the WS. Our whole family enjoys ridding Soaring and we like the food options in Epcot as well. My oldest two beg to go on Sum of all Thrills and Mission Space every time we enter the park. I feel like Epcot is the best park for the 6 of us because there really is something to offer each person of different age and I really like that. (also, it seems less crowded...maybe do to size? I like that too!!) I think it is great how they combined fun activities with learning in that park. All 4 kids really like the little videos and demonstrations at each country. I love how they can talk to natives of that country and interact too. I think the candy demonstration in Japan was the best thing they saw there. They talked about it for weeks. Can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I did the Wild Africa Trek this past February and it was amazing!!! It is kind of expensive though! At that time, it was $189 per person but I think the price varies seasonally.

Favorite Park- Definitely Epcot:thumbsup2 I love the ambiance of the WS at dusk when the torches are lit:cloud9: Love being there!

Favorite WDW park?

I would have to say it's a tie between Epcot (WS), and MK.
I love taking my time in WS and shopping, eating, watching the entertainment!:woohoo:
I have to say as a family we love MK though, each kid has a favorite ride there and our favorite TS is CP (breakfast).:cool1:

What is your favourite Disney Park and why??

My favorite park is Hollywood Studios. I love the feel of old time Hollywood there. I love the street performers and of course all of the shows. I've always wanted to be a performer in one of the shows. I was an extra at Indiana Jones and I auditioned for the American Idol experience. I just love it there! :wizard:

I love, love, love coming to this thread and seeing all the excited people. Isn't is wonderful that we will be in DISNEY soon:woohoo:
It is extra special because Me and my kids will be joining my brother there, who we havent seen in over a year and we timed it perfectly that we arrive at the airport at approximately the same time. So magical express here we come.
Also he hasn't been there since we were teenagers and all Disney was was The Magic Kingdom, boy will his head spin with all the great things to see and do!
:cheer2:Yeah Yeah Yeah DISNEY:cheer2:

My favourite parks are hollywood studios and Typhoon lagoon.. I absolutely love the theming of hollywood studios and all of the rides and shows, and at typhoon lagoon my family always has THE BEST time :) brings back happy memories!

My favourite park was MK (totally embodies that magical Disney feel, IMHO). For DH and DS, they preferred AK the most (and it was a close second for me, too).

Third was Hollywood Studios, and in last place was Epcot (definitely in the minority here based on the other responses!).

What is your favourite Disney Park and why??

The Magic Kingdom of course!
Walking down Main Street and just seeing the castle completes my vacation.
You get to see pirates, flying elephants, monsters making jokes. What can be better than that?
