Is anyone else sad that Test Track will be down while we're there? DH is kinda upset about it. When we watched those videos that was one he really wanted to go on. Oh well....NEXT TIME! :thumbsup2

I am very sad about this as it's my favorite ride in Epcot. So, so sad........

if we get there on the 25th as planned, we'll check in at POR, check out the resort a little, then head to a park. If we go 2 days early, like we hope, we'll check in at ASMu, have dinner, walk around, go for a swim, then maybe DTD. We've just started a roadside stand selling veggies from our garden to raise money for 2 extra WDW days.DH even has a lead on a 2 day job hauling straw bales! He's a teacher, so he's off for the summer, but he's 36, not 26 and is going to be SORE if he does this...he says 2 days of hard labour for 2 days of Disney is a fair trade. Love that man!

Not sure what time we're getting there Sunday night, depends on how far we get Saturday. I am guessing it won't be early enough to do much of anything except explore our resort. I heard AKL has night vision goggles to see animals at night. We may do that the first night. :)

Thank you!!!!!!!!!! :flower3:

My little one shed tears when I told him:sad: TT is his favorite ride. I told him not to worry because it will just be one more reason to go back (as if we really need a reason):rotfl:

I'm with you on that one. I keep looking at it and adding it to my cart, then I back off. I can't make myself pay that much money for it.

I was fortunate as there was no one else in the share that I'm in that was interested in the plus part. So, I am able to be part of the share, but I did pay $70 extra for the plus part. I have a voucher that I am taking to DTD the first night to exchange for the card. I just don't see how more than one family could be on the plus at the same time. I think it's a wonderful value as I always buy the ride photos and dinner photos. It's so worth it to me. I even plan on doing it next year!

Does anyone think this smiley is creepy?? :clown:

Ugh! I know exactly how you feel! I had a friend who travelled the same time as us last year and we toured together some days during the first week of our trip, well I preordered photopass and she was supposed to do the same.....let's just say she never got around to it and expected me to just share my cd with her for free.......:confused3

Did you let her??

Maddening isn't it! We asked if any of the other 3 families want to chip in, but they said basically, why if we're paying for it anyway?! Totally didn't understand! And I'm making shirts for them too (of course, that's because I'm addicted to photoshop and need an excuse to make things:) )...

I forgot to weigh in on the photopass thing. I think we may take pictures with the photopass then look at them and if there are one or two really good ones we will order just those.

However, I have a nice Nikon D3000 I plan on bringing and assuming these CMs know their cameras I trust them with my camera and will have them take a picture with that, thus hopefully, my pictures will be just as good as theirs. ;)

DH is sad...it was down the last times he's gone too, so he's never ridden on it.
I've only been to Disney twice for 1 day each: the first time, I had a miscarriage at the start of the vacation and DH wanted to take me to the last page as planned to cheer us up. So i was in a wheel chair. The last time was 4 years ago. I had DS2 and was 6 months pregnant with DD and we just went for a day while on a family vacation. so this will be my first time when I can go on rides and really explore the parks! So excited!

We will probably check in around 10-11am (we are arrivng in Orlando the night before, and staying over near DTD and starting our Disney vacation the next day). I know our room will not be ready, so we will just drop our luggage off and explore the resort for a little bit. Then it's off to the Magic Kingdom!

Very sad :( I'm going in November too but I heard that it will open in December. But there could always be a soft opening when I'm there!

I'm so sorry for your loss. ((hugs)) This trip is partially to help cheer me up after our ectopic we just had. Gotta wait 3 months before we try again which is right around Disney time. ;) Hope you have lots of FUN this time!

I thought I read it was down until November 30th so you may very well have a soft opening!!!

I read December 1, which is one day after, so it doesn't really matter. I am just hoping there is a soft opening. I can't wait to ride it after the refurb!

I'm so sorry for your loss too. I felt weird to be surrounded by kids afterwards at the MK, but really confirmed that we wanted to keep trying. 6 years and many fertility treatments later, we were blessed with DS. Honestly, if we hadn't gone to MK after that last miscarriage, I might have given up! Keep trying as long as its right for you. Hugs right back atcha!

Ok, I got way too serious there! Sorry!

About what time do you think you'll be checking in and what do you normally do first? Park? Pool? Shop? Eat?:

My plane lands at 11:30 so after picking up the car I expect to be Hilton Bonnet Creek by 1 and in the parks by 1:30. Oh I may stop by and say Hi to hubby at the hotel:rotfl2: but who knows. (he's at a work convention that week and that's why I'm flying down)

We can't get into the house til 4. Planning to break up the drive down so will definitely be in the area before that. Thinking about hitting a waterpark for a bit.

I ♥ Test Track! It's absolutely my favorite thing at Epcot. Last time we went my youngest was just tall enough to go on it and it was one of his faves too. Sad that we're gonna miss it.

I am very sad about this as it's my favorite ride in Epcot. So, so sad........

Me, too.

Awww, I kind of just glossed over it with my youngest. My 10 yr old wasn't happy since that's one of the rides he loves - he's not a coaster fan so TT is a thrill ride for him.

My answer:
We plan on hangin out at Pop for a little while, having lunch at AoA. Then we're hopping the Epcot bus for dinner at TeppanEdo and Illuminations! A perfect end to the start of our awesome week!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Our plane lands at 1:30 and by the time we get the car and drive to CBR, it will probably be 3:30 or 4. We will probably eat something and then out to MK.

Yes, I'm disappointed that it is closed, but that and Fantasyland gives us a reason to go back.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a baby is difficult no matter what the cause; miscarriage, stillbirth etc.

Our plane is scheduled to land at 6:40 pm, but both our Jetblue flights from January arrived at their destinations early, so we're hoping to be on the ground slightly before that.

First order of business (after picking up the rental car) will be dinner. DS will be starving :scared: (not that that's surprising....he's always hungry :scratchin.....all the Blue Chips in the world won't fill his hollow leg). Feeding a teenaged boy is always first priority :lmao:. DS loves Cici's Pizza (which we don't have here in Canada, so its a priority on every trip to the USA), which will work well since it will be quick and get us moving on to check in more quickly than a fancier sit-down meal.

Our first night we will check out the resort, enjoy the pools, get settled in, and relax. :beach: Big, busy day the following morning!

Ok our plane lands at 9:35am (what are the chances it will be ontime???) and then DME to AoA. I think we will be arriving to check in at 11ish. I am hoping for some disney magic in the way of our room being ready when we check in. (needing a little pixie dust here) pixiedust: Then we are going to DTD for our lunch ADR at Raglan Road for 1pm (if we get there early, hoping they can seat us early). Then will call my mom and dad and they will join us at the pool to hang out with us for a few hours and also check out the new resort and take pics.. Then (if we are still standing after such a long day) we have 8pm reservations at Yachtsman Steakhouse. It is our first time going there. I really don't want anyone falling asleep in our $40 steaks, lucky for us they are already paid for with the dining plan. :rotfl:

Our plane lands at 8:39 AM!!! The past few trips we've learned to take it easy the first day, rest, have a relaxing dinner, call it an early night. The first few trips, day one ruined us because we would go nuts! But this trip is different because we are taking DH's 20 year old niece and it'll be her first trip so I think we'll be parkin' it ALL DAY!
