Not public discounts. But a few people have gotten pins.

I called last night to check for a pin, was told oh yees you have the FD pin. I was like wooohooo. the CM said wait a min this one ends june 30th
She asked me to hold on and came back to tell me. If you are looking for free dinning you may want to think about changing you days you have booked.
I told her theres no way I can go in june, she told me no no just change it for a few days later in the month.


Not sure if that means anything to anyone, but we were booked starting the 16th. we are now going starting the middle of the next week and she told me that was much better.

With mixed emotion, I cancelled our room only ressie for POFQ for August, 2012. It wasn't so much due to lack of discounts, but more because of all the construction at MK (which really depressed me on our last trip in October 2010) and the refurb of test track at Epcot. We just decided to postpone our WDW vacation until later in 2013 when hopefully, MK is complete.

BUT, we are still heading to Florida in August, flights already booked, but will be spending time at Discovery Cove & Aquatica, as well at at US/IOA and staying at the Hard Rock Hotel (which we've done before and enjoyed quite a bit).

Hope all of you wishing for discounts get them soon.

Okay, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here. I have a FD pin as well but it also expires June 30. In addition, I have a percentage off pin in August. Are you saying that they are allowing you to use the FD pin at a time after June? In August?

So disapointing! I received a PIN in the mail the other day, but it was only for 10% off between August 5th and the 31st. Not enough to make me consider booking yet... wish it was the 30% one I keep hearing about!

We got the 10% off one too. I'm hoping that since a lot of people are holding out for a bigger discount Disney will realize they need to do more than 10%. Who knows, I may be totally wrong, but I keep wishing.

We were going to skip this year anyway, so if I don't get atleast a 30% or a FD pin, we're not going. We got 40% off a deluxe last year so now we're spoiled

I want to be able to get all the places I want but with no park hours or free dining I'm going to have to spend lots of time booking reservations and then maybe canceling them all if we don't get the free dining deal. Lots of time to do all of that. But if I dint book ohanna and chef mickeys etc. All the places we love to go to I run the risk of not getting any of them.

It's a moot point now since we've put off our WDW trip, BUT, I was concerned about that too. Go to www.easywdw.com and the August 2012 recommended parks calendar is up. I don't think it has park hours, but it has which parks have EMH and crowd predictions. That will at least help some with your dining planning.

I had never been to this site before, but Robo recommended it in another thread as the earliest and most accurate site for park hours.

Also, I just checked the Disney website and they are there now for our August dates.

Having a terrible time trying to figure out my days (posted a thread on the Theme parks board for advice). My 180 days is approaching and I'm going to plan my ADR's as if we have free dining. If not, then I will adjust closer to the trip.

Ok, I am new to all this, if I recieve a pin for my trip dates (rec'd one but its for June, I can't go until August) Can it be applied to 2 rooms? We are deciding between a family suite or 2 value rooms (leaning towards 2 values), or would I need to get a pin, and my mom get one as well?

I know that the free dining in the past has been later then this. The dates are firm because we have 3 teachers in the family and the following week my brother does the Livestrong ride.
My dad went to AAA and she said that they haven't offered anythign this week for the past 2 years.

They are offering individual PINs that include those dates, but you have to be lucky enough to get one. You can try some of the suggestions in this thread to increase your chances, but they do seem pretty random.

I got one recently for 20% off (we booked Aug 13-24) a few days after I saved a quote and ordered the free planning DVD on the Disney website. This was the first PIN I've ever received though.
