Tampa is still super high!
Seems like Alamo rates are down only with pickup at MCO
That gives me between $115-121, total, depending on code and coupon.
Plugging in any other location around the World gives me the same rate I've got (or slightly higher) - $220 midsize, Aug 7-14.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't mind driving in, but we're arriving on a way late flight, and these eyes don't see so well after midnight anymore
So, I guess I'll just keep poking, and hope something turns up
I'm there the 4th - 14th and so far Alamo is the highest for me. I currently have a mid-size booked through Dollar for $222. No matter what codes I use for Alamo its between $400 - $500, and I'm picking up and dropping off at MCO
Yea, our Alamo rental for 8/4 - 8/11 is still $291 for the week for a standard. I think that pick up date is just more.
Just checked National and got a better deal. $197 for a full. Using ID 5004691 and coupon NDA23A4BQ
Where is the ID and code from? Is it public?

I wish the SOG pick up worked for me. We land at MCO and go to Universal first. So we'll pick up the car and drive ourselves over.
I'd have to rent a car from MCO for those three days, return it to MCO, use ME to get to Disney, get a taxi over to SOG, and rent another. I'd lose half a day with all of that aggregation so it's simply not worth it.
I told myself if we couldn't get a car for the 5 of us for 200 or under I wasn't renting one and we'd use a taxi to and from Universal and then ME. Luckily I found one for 206.
We are members of BJ's - so I reserved by clicking through their website, which then goes to Alamo's site. This "corporate code" (or whatever it is), is 7014696. I am also an "Alamo Insider" - not quite sure what good that does, but I added my info in that section. Then to save an additional $35, I used e-coupon code AD2359FDF, which is an American Airlines code - I registered on that site also in case Alamo actually checks. The BJ's code allows for an additional driver with no additional charge, and also unlimited miles.
As far as the BJ's code, I always book using that code, and have never had a problem,NORr have I been asked to show my BJ's card, however I do have a membership so if they do ask, I'm good ... FWIW
Hope that can help someone !

Love that free additional driver!
As prices continue to drop, it lends oneself to wondering......how low will the rates go?
We got a compact for $68 all-in with Alamo for our New Years trip, then were upgraded to an intermediate (I think....it was a Chevy HHR). Would love, love, love to see our August rentals come in under $100!![]()
Alamo using AMEX code is now cheaper than the insiders code. Standard down to $109 with tax! (amex code 7014291
and $35 coupon)
Amex rate does not allow free driver, so beware if that is a concern to you.![]()
Just rebooked my Dollar reservation and saved another $15.
8/22 9:00am pickup at MCO - 8/31 5:00pm drop off MCO
Full size car
$197
Of course I'd love to save more but since it stared out at $370, I'm super happy.
Do you have to pay using the AMEX? I'm afraid that I will loose the good rate with the two different locations.
talking to myself but I just searched and seems Alamo does not have a standard asile at MCO so I guess we'll be given a full size anyway. Deal.
Plugging your date/time into Alamo gets $184 for full size with a free additional driver. Just use Insiders code (7015135) and $35 coupon (AD2359FDF). If you don't need the additional driver, use the AMEX code (7014291) with that coupon and the total comes down to $174.
