Just canceled Kona cafe, Friday, Aug. 27th 5:40 party of 4. Considering canceling Ohana either 28th or 30th of Aug. 6:30 and 6:40. DH does not want to go 2 nights. I need to find a replacement for one so stay tuned.

I'm bringing my laptop with me to try and get some last minute ones as well. Hopefully people will post their cancellations. If all else fails, book lunch---it's the hottest (and sometimes wettest) part of the day anyway!

What's the best way to do this online or on the phone?

I find it easier and faster to book online. You can enter a date, number of guests, time frame and the website will pop up a list of available restaurants with specific times.

If you are not picky and don't mind dining in resorts restaurants, there are quite a number of openings for dinner. Check "The Wave", "Kouzzina", etc.

ADR = Advance Dining Reservation

Not a reservation in the tradional sense of the word, but ensures when you arrive your party will be seated at the next available table. You may have some wait but you will be seated infront of walk-ins &/or will not be turned away as no tables available in the event you try to walk up without a reservation.
