My family of five (Kids 14,12 and 7) will be making our first trip Aug 8-16. We will be staying at POR.

We'll be at POR at the same time as you, only a shorter trip for us! We're there the 13 thru 17. This will be my first time staying at POR and my sister's very first time staying at Disney. How exciting to be planning your first trip!

we will be there aug 13-20...I was bummed when I got the heads up on FDDP..just 4 days after we get home, BUT DH was Really not wanting to take DD outta school but we did get 40% off the room, so that is probably almost as good of a deal...we are staying at CSR..

Going again to celebrate my son's birthday. It's a ritual that is getting hard to stop.

We will be at the POLY from August 19-August 26th!!

We have a 20% discount but keeping my eyes open.

Hey there poohbear2, looks like we'll be there just about the same week. For us it's August 19-August 25th and we're staying at the Swan this time. First time visit in August but that's because we are celebrating our daughter's birthday and mine. Have a great time. Happy B-day to your son.

My family of 5, one of my closest friends and her family of 5 and my cousins and their 2 girls will all be descending on the World August 24-Sept 2. I CANNOT WAIT!!! 129 days to go

We are staying in POP too! 24th-31st. We're from South Jersey and yes, we too are driving! We drove last year in June and we had a wonderful trip. We made it down in one day ( we still stayed overnight just outside of the Disney area, because we expected it would take 2 days) We have 3 kids and I really think that driving is the best way to go. Even with the gas prices and the hotels on the way, it is still cheaper. I like being able to stop when we need to and also being able to have the cooler, breakfast stuff etc. with us is a bonus.

Just wanted to drop by and say hi! And tell you we will be at POP the exact same dates!!! Another South Jersey Person. I'm really trying to get out of driving but it doesn't seem to be working in my favor!!! Oh well! Then we shall drive! Even if gas prices rise more we will still be in the plus!
We're at $3.43 per gallon for regular here today!!!

Count us in for our first August visit. We're doing OKW the 14th through the 22nd. I'm a teacher in Massachusetts, so I'll need to have my classroom all ready BEFORE we leave. That way....no worries

We've done Summers at the Mouse House before, and even though we prefer Christmas time and winter visits, I guess mid-to-late August is a great time to go, too!!!!

Hooray for all of us....how lucky we are to be able to go to such a magical place

August 25th-30th. Pop Century. First time at a value resort but it was the only way I could get DH to agree to another trip to the world this year!!! Free dining was the clincher Let the countdown begin

I'm sitting here on a dreary, rainy New England afternoon, listening to Epcot entrance music on MouseWorld Radio 2, browsing the Dis, and dreaming about August!

We (me, DW and DD8) be making our first August visit this year. The first week, 8/17-24, will be with a good friend and his 2 DDs, 8 and 6, at our "home" BWV. They leave 8/24 and we'll move to VWL for another week, til 8/31. We had done two 7 or 9-day trips per year in the past, but now we don't really want to take DD out of school that much, so we consolidated the two trips into one, just before she goes back.

Only 110 days!

We'll be taking our DS2 for his first visit August 9th through the 13th. I've been in August and July before, so I know what we're getting into as far as the weather goes, but That time of year, South Carolina is pretty much the same, except without the occaisional rain, so no worries.

We'll be making our second stay at POFQ with a 40% off, and using days off some old tickets. Now that's how you beat the gas prices!!
