Just added two more days!!!!! Will now be at POP 23-30 of August!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We'll be there 6th - 23rd August this year. We're going to try the Deluxe Dining Plan, I have spent an hour on the phone to member services today making our ADR's! We have been lucky enough to get into CRT for dinner and I can't wait for that.

We always go in August as being a teacher that is my main holiday, it is always hot and usually rains but we just put ponchos on and get on with it. It can also be very humid so light clothes and plenty of water help with that. We always get hoppers so we can go back and cool off in the afternoons.

Hi there! :teacher: I am a teacher, too, and because the only time my break/my kids' break overlaps with our UK cousins (we are all meeting down there - they get to fly for 8 hours while we drive for 12! ) August was our only option, too. So we bravely booked anyway - despite my friend (and Florida native) telling me, "Whatever you do, don't go in August!" As we live in the South, I think we will be okay with the humidity, and I made sure to get travel insurance for the hurricane season. We happened to be in the UK two summers ago when the heatwave had people passing out in the underground...and with no air conditioning to escape into, it was much worse than our own summer heat! :scared: By the way, did you mean to say that it rained every day? Thunderstorms around 5, perhaps? (We have Luau reservations, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for clear evenings!)

Hi gang,

I already posted on this thread, but changed my dates a little. So now i'll be at CBR aug 25- sept 2. See you all there!!!:cool1:

We'll be there Aug. 29-Sept. 2 for Discounted Deluxe dining!!!! Staying at ASMo!!

My DW and I will be there August 7-16 at CSR!:cool1:

It will be hot and fairly crowded, but we're pros and generally know how to avoid waiting more than 15-20 minutes for anything!:thumbsup2

We too are driving from South Jersey to Disney...Staying at the Pop from 8/23-8/30!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: We are actually leaving on Friday 8/22 and driving to NC, stayin overnight then getting up early Sat morning to head to WDW.

The Dynamic Duo (aka BFF and I) are invading the world 8/9-8/15 being headquartered at SSR!

We've got a dream summer vacation planned! We'll be @ the WL for 2 nights and then @ the Poly for 10 nights w/ DxDP! :woohoo:

We will be at AKL august 11-18 savannah view:love: first time ever to WDW for the whole family:banana: . Me, DH, DD(4) and DS(1). We all can not wait!!

Hi!

New to DisBoards (This is my First Post!). We are headed to DW from August 12-21, staying one night at the Fort Wilderness Cabin in the campground, and the rest of the vacation at a Family Suite at the All Star Music.

I am curious..I keep reading about a 40% off email from a couple of you. Being new here and really interested in the idea of taking some money off of my room, could anyone please IM me or respond and let me know what I'm missing!

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the dis,

This 40% off code has to be mailed to you. You Can call disney and ask if there is a "pin code" under your name to see for sure, but if there is no code attached to your name or you don't get one thru the regular mail then you won't be able to book using a 40% off code. Sorry, for the bad news, but hey your going to have a blast at Wdw!!!! Have fun and enjoy your trip!!!!!

MrsA, have you considered booking (or re-booking) through AAA? You may be able to get a 15% discount off the price of your room.

Do the math first, then see whether it's worth the $50-$60 (depending on where you live) registration fee. If you're already a member, see if they can match the price you already have.

Ah...I would have figured it was a PIN code. I've been begging the CSR's for a new PIN code...apparently, I had one that had to be used by March 15 and it expired. I'm guessing the chances I'll get one for August are pretty slim at this point.

I will double check the AAA...we used to subscribe to it. 15% would be about $300, so I will look into it.

We are excited to be going..thanks for the good vibes! Six of us are flying down (first time on a plane for the kids!).

Hey guys!! I'm new to the boards but glad I found ya'll. What a wealth of information here!!

I'm Val and my DH and I will be bringing our 3yo foster daughter to ASMu in August, and my parents will be in a (hopefully) adjoining room! We are so excited, this is our first "family" vacation! And her first time on a plane, at least to our knowledge! We've had her for a year now and are hoping to adopt her. We should be able to, just need some things to happen first. Anways, we are so excited and haven't told her yet, because I don't think she could understand the concept of something that exciting happening almost 4 months from now! lol I just hope she's potty trained by then!!

I've been to WDW 3 times previously, but when I was a kid. 1982, 1986 and 1990. So it's been 18 years and so much has changed!! I just can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees Mickey and Minnie, I think her head might explode lol :) We'll be there the 24th to the 30th of August, we'll be the ones with the headless toddler!! :pixiedust:
