August 2008 - who's going?

Hey good news about the EMH hours. If you look at July's schedule the EMH parks are the same for the first 3 weeks or so of August so I would bet the AM and PM parks are the same too. Just click on the bottom of the day that shows EMH for a park and it will pull up the EMH hours through July and get it from there.

HTH

Is it usually similar? We're going at the end of Aug and work our ADRs around the EMH

We are booked for 2 rooms at POp also. I had the family suite booked but just got a 40% discount card today and changed it to two rooms at Pop and saved over $300.:cheer2: :cheer2: More money to spend on the triip.

We are going August 10 - 17, staying at BC. We had planned for June, but I just booked the bounceback offer when I was at Disney last week :cheer2:

So, this will be our first time going in August, we went last July mid month and were honestly surprised the heat and crowds were not too bad. We arrived at the parks early, drank lots of water ordered from Garden Grocer, rested or did the pool in the afternoon and back in parks in the evenings. Anybody gone to Disney on a previous August trip have any additional advice?

Based on last year, it looks like they might flip the EMH around the last couple of weeks of August so it is hard to be sure which is AM and which is PM, but I think you can count on MK being am on Thursday and pm on Sunday. Also, MK closed at 7pm on the last couple of Fridays for Pirate and Princess Party last year. This year they are showing open until 10pm, but beware that it is possible that they could add P&PP again and those hours could change.

Thanks for the advice - I have a terrible memory, so I can't rememer when the EMH were last year when we went. I didn't even consider the P&PP - but I'm actually hoping for that because I'd love to go again! :goodvibes

On the EMH it does switch toward the end of the month. sorry I didn't make that more clear. I am going in the beginning of the month so I had not looked at the whole month.

Just booked 8/17/-8/27 POFQ Saved $336.00 with AAA discount. Thank You AAA. Now to wait 6 LONG months........

I finally feel like the trip is kicking in to full gear! I made my ADRs this morning and I booked our airfare this afternoon. Now I have to call to schedule the ME. I get through my day by telling myself 'this time in 6 months we'll be at the pool at ASM' or 'In 6 months we'll be in Epcot.' :)

It's nice to see a group of people who are going in August. I will be there 8/4-8/10 staying at the AKV. I can make my ADRs in 12 hours
