Anyone going August 2007? Anyone already book their trip? We are planning on August 16-26 of next year. My DH has a 99.99% chance of getting his vacation request for that week, however it is not guarenteed. We will not know until January or February.

Now here is the question.....

Could I book through AAA for that week, and then change dates later if I need to? Will I have a fee for changing dates?

If I wait until February to book, will I get the hotel that we want? We would like either 2 rooms at Movies, or 1 room at POR. Undecided at this time.

And if we go through AAA and they end up offering free dining again, will AAA transfer us to free dining without making a new reservation ( I know that we would have to pay rack rate then).

Maybe it is too early to plan, but I am excited about going, and doing something is better then doing nothing when it comes to planning a WDW trip!

Me and DH are going 6th - 15th of Aug 07. Maybe 6th - 16th, if we can afford 1 more additional day. Yes you can book the dates and change it. I have changed mine dates and resorts around so many times my AAA TA is starting to become a member of my family, LOL. And no you will not get charged, unless you cancel or change the dates (I think) 46 days or more before your arrival date. If its 45 days or less before your arrival date, then yes, you will get charged a fee. If you wait until Feb, your chances of getting the resort and view you want are pretty high still. As for free dining, yes they will just change the dates on your ressie and make some price adjustments since you will have to pay the regular room rate and put in that you are doing free dining. Its NEVER to early to start planning. My original date was to go this November, but with money issues, it was impossible. Then I was supposed to go for my bday in July 07 but me and DH decided to go in August for our 3rd anniversary. We will be staying at the AKL, praying for a free upgrade to a savannah view. AAA already even has my $200 deposit, lol. Let me put it this way. I have my resort picked out, the dates set, AAA already has my deposit, I even have all the restraunts picked out and even have arrival day and the next day planned out, lol. So see its never to early to start planning :thumbsup2

We're booked for 8/21/07-9/1/07 and have been for months, so it's never too early to start planning! :surfweb: Ditto to what the previous poster said. :)

Thanks guys. It would be a nice feeling to at least know that I am booked!!! And to know that I would not get a charge fee for changing dates is definitely nice to know.
