August 2006 - planning & CR question

susie2 we're on the same flight as you & cruise on the 26th - can't wait to prebook our seats!

mark&sue we originally booked when they were offering next years holidays at this years prices. DD then bought a letter home from school re: offers to encourage people not to take their kids out of school by offering a discount which exceeded our FV 10%. Total cost 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant flydrive with platinum insurance & 5 nights at ASMo (booked cruise independently) travelling out 21/8 & back 2/9 (unfortunately that means w/end suplements) for £2123. Yes, it's still alot of money, but DD doesn't then miss school & we've had 18 months to pay for it

miffy and florida sun, I hope you don,t mind me asking but are you flying with mytravel or TCD from cardiff, we have been with mytravel twice (well monarch this year) have been looking at TCD jumbo for next year but not impressed with the prices I have been getting. any tips? :confused3
much cheaper from gatwick obviously and don't mind the trip up but, hate the journey back up the M4 when we land, just wnat to get home, 50 mins from cardiff airport is fine by me but without the arm and leg price please!

Celestine

That price seems really good for a Disney hotel. I will keep my eyes open.

Many thanks

Susan

hi celestine, have been keeping an eye on the virgin atlantic web site, just incase we can prebook them early, you will have to let us know where you are sitting so we can say hello, happy planning susie2

Claire I've no idea who I'm flying with! The invoice says Direct Travel (or something like that anyway).

Never flown charter before but thought we'd give it a try and to be honest to avoid the 4 plus hour drive home from Gatwick when jetlagged can only be a bonus in my book!!

Thanks anyway miffy, we have done it twice, its a bit of an endurance test but the end is worth it!

Claire

Yes Miffy and I are travelling with Monarch airlines booked through direct Travel who are My Travel, but slightly cheaper. Their prices were extremley good for next August coming in at about £600 flight only, premium seating is an extra £249 return trip which is a bit expensive . I will be able to tell you more when I return home this August as I have the same flight with Monarch booked through direct travel this year also flying from Cardiff. To fly from Cardiff is a big big bonus for us.
