I see on the chat room schedule we are going to have an all-day chat on the PC day for the Westbound cruise. Are we doing this in the Special Events chat room rather than the regular one? If so, we should announce it on the Westbound thread before they leave. Since it's all day, they may come to join us (somehow though I don't think they will join us at Sailaway :rotfl: )

Hi everyone, I'm also going on the Aug. repo cruise along with DH and DF and her DH. I was looking at the pins for the May repo cruise and thought they were beautiful. Has anyone heard if they will be having similar pins for our Aug. cruise? Here's a little bit of a bio on our group [the four of us]. We've been on two other disney cruises .We live in cal. we will be renting a car to drive to San Pedro and then flying back from Florida after spending a few days at wdw. Between our two families we have seven kids and this cruise will be the first time that we've left the kids behind. They're not to happy about that but our schools start in mid Aug. so it became a trip just for the parents. Now we're anxiously counting down the days. If anyone has an answer about those pins I would love to know thanks. :rotfl: Robin

Welcome Robin! If you are interested, we have a listing on Page 1 where you can be an official Fool. Once registered, you can get me your e-mail address and I will add you to the newsletter mailing. Lots of information so you won't have to read the entire thread here :rotfl2:

Tracy

Thanks Grahame, good to know you are checking on things. However, it is strange they have everyone listed in the drop down. Does that mean when Mel gets EAYOR into play that we'll have 100 names listed on our accounts???? :rotfl2:

Jazz is on his way to China now, lucky guy has a 14 hour flight from Chicago to Shanghai in coach.

When we first heard about the special pins (about 100 pages ago??) didn't they show a second set for our cruise? I remember people from the other cruise posting here asking us to buy some for them. So I think we have a set just for our cruise (except for the big one, of course).

OMG!!! Didn't anyone ever explain to Jazz that when you're flying the plane, you are supposed to sit in the Cockpit!! Grumbo, this certainly explains some of those landing photo's you had of Jazz!!! Miracle he's still alive!

It doesn't look good for FIL. The vascular guy won't operate on his legs because of his heart and liver. He may die on the table. Meanwhile he has very poor circulation in his feet and they are turning blue and feel like walking on glass. We won't know what the next cardiologist says until the 16th.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope the 16th brings good news and hope! :sunny:

Welcome Robin, cool name! :cool1:

I thought about that. I figured the name tag could go in front of of kttw card in the holder, that way the kttw wouldn't be quite as noticeable I tried a clip and it can handle both the card holder and name tag.

I checked the measurements of the nametags and they're too big to fit in the holders, although the kttw cards should fit fine. I found the lanyard clips in the kids' crafts section at Michaels, in the aisle where they sell the plastic cording to make the kinds of lanyards you learned in camp. They come in lots of 10 or 20 or so, and are quite inexpensive

Mel, I forwarded an email you originally sent a while back with all the girls' emails to Lighthouseprincess.

Welcome Robin, you'll find we are a great bunch...of nuts(coconuts that is)

Denine I hope things go well with the MD on the 16th. Sending lots of pixie dust and prayers that things start looking better.

Talked to DH this afternoon and we decided to pay off the cruise before the 22nd. Looking forward to making all the ressies before we get on the boat. Will make the boarding rush a lot better. I still hope DCL does something about the "plate" so that we have an equal chance at them.

Sorry Bob, I forgot you Floridians only know of PC as Port Canaveral. I am referring to the day they go through the Panama Canal. It is an all day event and they may wish to join us here and there. Not next Saturday, I doubt any of them will be online then.

I'm a bit early...but I'm in chat....anyone want to join me?

Denine,
Sorry to hear this news. Lots of pixie dust for your family and your FIL. Hope the 16th brings better news.

We are now PIF'ers (Paid In Full) for this cruise!! No REAS for us, so we have to wait till the 90 day mark for our bookings...hopefully the kinks will be worked out of the system and there will be something left to book by then.

I was going to have the KTW card in a plastic case like this, and hang the nametag in front of it. This way it hides the KTW card and easily lets others see who you are.

Tracy.... one never knows, there just might be some crazy people on the Westbound cruise that might want to say hi to everyone! I just might need to hear all about your Konk Kooler! :wave2:

Speaking of Konk Koolers, Tracy, you need to send me the recipe so I can have them too. :teeth:

Wow did anyone see that where you make the reservations you can actually pre-reserve the LE pins?
I never saw that before.. Woo hoo.. :cool1:

Cheers,
Grumbo

Hi Pauline:

The CM you spoke with at DCL is wrong Pauline....
I sure as heck don't have concierge and was permitted to book the Spa Treatments, Palo AND excursions, plus the kid's clubs.
I know when I tried to book the REAS they initially told me NO I had to have my TA do it. I kept telling them NO I don't, as I had done it last year. The CM eventually acquiesced, booked it for me, and today I had access to my reservation for the above items.
Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo, Allan is asking what REAS costs and, apart from early booking of excursions, etc., what are the benefits? I know we can find this elsewhere, but you are the fount of all knowledge on this board.

Thanks

Pam
