I wonder what his "Fellow" DIS Pin Traders think of all this?

I know they all ask each other to help out collecting pins, but ............

How can EBay allow him to sell something that he has no guarantee of getting?

Very Interesting!

Maybe I'll ask him a question.

Why not ask him on the Dis Collector's Board?

Could prove interesting!

Scratch you mentioned fishing charters.......
Take a look at this page.......
http://www.cabovillas.com/fishing_charters.asp

Thinks these two are the same but take a look at links off of it....

http://www.fishcabosanlucas.com/view_charters.asp

http://www.fiestasportfishing.com/boats.html

http://www.cortezcharters.com/cabo.htm

If you could get a few of the Fools together this might be a much more economical choice than the DCL trip anyway :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Thanks Grumbo, but I know these sites! I was the one that did the research for the newsletter!

Nobody showed any interest then and doubt there is any now.

Will wait until we board or two days prior to see if anything comes up.

Thanks Anyways!

Oh OK didn't realize. I just searched now...
I have to talk with my dad. We "May" be interested. I'll let you know. The more I think about the heat and the ATV's, the more I am considering other excursions.
Also wondering about the Chileno snorkel.

Cheers,
Grumbo

I guess I fault Disney more than this person. First of all, they shouldn't limit any of the pins to less than the number of families cruising on each of the Panama Canal cruises. When you have at least 1750 guests onboard and, more likely than not more than that, to release only 1000 is absurd. There should be at least enough for every stateroom to get at least one pin, if not two. They could easily limit the number to 2005 of each pin.

Now, to limit the "big pin" to 1000 and then to release them all to the first Panama Canal cruise is, well, stupidity. Even though I personally have no intention of buying a $75.00 pin (or any pin I have to wait in a special line for) I feel very sorry for those that want the pins and won't get them.

I'd say the best thing to do at this point is to call DCL Guest Relations on the phone and tell them that we're very disappointed in their decision. I mean lets face facts, the ones sailing on the Panama Canal cruises and paying a good chunk of money to do so are probably some of the more loyal Disney fan base. I would stress the fact that it isn't good Guest Service to treat one group of cruisers better than another.

Perhaps we should start a thread on the other site where we can all check in once we call, write, and/or e-mail DCL.

Hi Guys,
Please keep in mind that personal attacks are against DIS posting guidelines.

While I realize you may not like that someone is preselling pins on ebay for the repo cruise, it is not a violation of ebay and pointing out thier DIS name and attacking them for doing this is a violation of posting guidelines.

Thanks,
Sue Ellen

Here we go again.

I see the eastbound repo cruisers are very upset over the presell of the pins on our cruise.

They just got reprimanded by a moderator for bashing one of the cruisers on our cruise.

If they want the pins, they could have signed up for the westbound repo cruise instead of the eastbound cruise.

There is always someone who is not happy

Don't worry Renee...
I'm sure that post will be removed then if they're making disparaging remarks about us. Its against the DIS rules..

For goodness sake lets remember that we cannot control the behavior of others, eventually it will all come out in the wash. DCL probably will handle this in some way. :badpc:

Meanwhile... Happy Mothers Day !!! From an old Mom to all those young Moms still receiving those always to be remembered gifts. Toasters, vaccuum cleaners and the like. Or the special ones, hugs, kisses and " I Love You, Moms!"

That is why the sisterhood are in charge of the wash...(hey, Mark got us in charge) We can throw em overboard.... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

To all Mothers: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

Just took care of the air flights for my FIL...
Ok now the excursions. I don't know what to do, and of course, when i do pick one, it is taken by Grumbo gang anyway and therefore it is booked!! SHEESCH!! STUPID REAS!!!!!!

Just to note:

I had a post edited and all I did was name the person doing the selling. I did not "bash" anyone.

At the time of the posting I did not know that it was against the rules to identify a DIS name even though they clearly identified themselves in their E-bay profile.

Hi Everyone

I think you would find that most of the "Disboard" westernbound cruiser would agree that DCL's pin plans stink. I'm not a pin collector, but I would like to get one set from this cruise as a souvenir. And I think that the easternbound cruiser should also be able to do that.

There is some talk about "how could one of our own" do this. If you did check up on the seller and follow through on checking his disboard ID, you will find that he has only posted 1 time on the westernbound thread and only 13 times total.

I'm hoping that DCL will work with everyone and things will come out OK. Pie in the sky - probably, but I can always hope.

What an utterly idiotic thing to say. Not you, the post you quoted. I don't understand this "them" vs "us" attitude (even when I was one of "them", that is what caused me to stop reading the other thread in the first place). Please, let's not get into that whole thing over here. It's not worth the bad feelings caused by characterizing everyone on one sailing but some stupid things a couple of people do or say. Disney is the only one who can make this pin thing right so we should probably focus our frustration on them.

Ken, he also changed his disboard name inbetween the 13 posts :sad2:

Hi all you Eastbounders! Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's! Sorry to intrude, just felt like I needed to add to this. I am steaming as much as everyone else, as I would like a complete set myself to keep (not sell)

And if you have a beef with another poster, PM that poster. Attempts to publicly harass and embarrass another poster are not cool...

Sorry Kathy, it's just that we've all gotten so used to harassing and embarrassing each other for so long many of the 'sisters' don't even realize they're doing it!!...Mark

Wow guys! I thought I was the only one to irratate the westbounders but you guys sure are doing a great job of it! LOL

And 3 posts by moderators in 1 day-what a record! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See I am not the trouble maker!
