We're home!!! Mom is of course tired, but doing well. She looks a lot better than she did even on Sunday. Today we even chased a forest fire! (only until I nearly ran out of gas). Just needed to be sure she could get into her jammies without a fire getting too close.

The possible clog in her neck isn't so. The one near her arm though will have to be done in two weeks. May 18. So she'll be up and running before it's time for me to go to DL!!!

Is anyone trying for 16,000? We're getting close!!

Tracy

Whom else is on the 8/19/06 cruise RobinMarie?

Is that one of those that stop at Castaway Cay twice?

I think the next cruise I book will have to be an Eastern. I really want to see

again.

Wonderful news about your Mom, Tracy! Here's to a fast recovery!

Just shown DD the MousePlanet pics of 4th / 5th and she's gone off almost in distress at wanting to be there - the fireworks looked magnificent - but doesn't Mike E look thinner and older suddenly - its as if he's had a bit of stress around over the last few months????

And we're not a year old with our booking till Saturday 7th - but my goodness doesn't time fly, especially in the company of such nice friends as y'all.

Suddenly seeing the photos of both parks in the Yahoo news, makes this big and glorious adventure of ours seem so close (and yet so far) - and we do understand about the Post Cruise Depression Syndrome - we're usually near to tears just walking off - this the most relaxing of holidays - after all its only a boat!!!! - is one of the most enervating and tiring experiences of our life.

But why cross that bridge yet, the reality is that we are looking forward enormously to getting on the big bird in Manchester on August 17th to head over the pond to meet our family of friends gradually over the next few days.

And by the way, for those who said they were interested in Ship of Fools wrist bands, I have now ordered a batch and expect these limited edition (valuable on e-bay!!!!) to be dispatched to me on May 17th. Once I have them, I'll try to get an appropriate photo and post it for you to see. We'll then bring them with us when we come over and arrange to get them to the folk who wanted them at the first sensible opportunity. No cash required in advance - probably $3 each when I see you.

Meanwhile, over here it's just about bedtime - so g'night John Boy!

Cheers

Allan

This email was just received this afternoon. By my calculations doesn't 105 days prior to the cruise mean tomorrow? I replied by asking if they knew when the formal and semi formal nights would be happening. I don't want to be in Palo's on formal night. I will post if I get a response to my question.

Thank you for your e-mail.

Your confirmation number is

Since you have the Romantic Escape at Sea, you may pre-reserve Palo, Vista Spa and Shore Excursions
105 days prior to your cruise vacation.

We look forward to the chance to sail with you.

Sincerely,

Jennifer

I didn't realize that if you had the REAS package, you jumped up to booking status with the Concierge folks at 105 days. That's a good perk.

Just double checking but is 90 days before our cruise : May 22? If so, 105 days is May 7. Am I doing this wrong?

I was thinking (and I checked the DIS countdown timer for PS ressies) 90 days is May 21st. So, 105 days would be May 6th. Anyone want to clarify? :confused3

Thanks Kmiles!

Well, I did it -- I took the plunge and finally made a decision about whether to go to the Angels vs. Red Sox game while we're there. It really shouldn't have been that hard since I am a diehard RS fan (took it with me from Rhode Island when I moved to NJ), but I was wishy-washy about giving up a night at DL to go to a game. But hey -- I may NEVER be this way again at the same time the RS are -- so it really was a no-brainer. Got three tickets for Thursday night's game. The seats aren't bad -- Section 426 between home and first (closer to left field to see Johnny Damon  ). They were only $20 each plus fees. I didn't think that was too bad.

So, another think to check off :cheer2:

We just bought two seats for THursday night's game for DH and DS. Colin loves baseball and we went to see the Angels last summer when we went to DL, they scored over 20 runs that night. Baseball is not my sport (as you can tell by my screen name, give me football any day).

Andy VM, SandyGirl I believe, Lynn, and a bunch of others fab folks. There is already a very active thread on it.

Costa Maya, Cozumel and 2 CCs if memory serves.

Glad your Mom's doing so well, Tracy. Thanks for keeping us informed ~ looking forward to chatting with you again soon.

Renee, mom says Haley is so cute!

I can't believe it, but she is actually taking a nap right now! She's been up since 8:30 this morning and I just found her sleeping in my bed with our cat. Hmm, I wonder if I can try to make this a habit?

Did you get anything in the mail from NJ?

I am sooooooo sorry!!!!! On Tuesday when we left to go up north, we got a package from both NJ and Canada. Thank you both very much. Bill will be happy to have a choice now and I can't wait to read the book!

I can't wait to chat with you both soon (where were you last night? I was here!).

:rotfl2: Renee! With a nap this late, she'll be having a party until Midnight tonight!
