Now see this is where they were stupid. As they were pictures of the Old Man while he was still there, they should have raised the prices!!!! After all, they are now pictures of something that is gone, left for the momories, something to tell the grandkids about. Hey, this could become the first money maker for the sisterhood!!!!! Sorry JGE, my idea, I have the rights, too, so don't even thing I won't sue for royalties.

That what I thought too....but it was WalMart employees....not the brightest lightbulbs in the lamp (at least around here).

Roxann, Allan Joy and I are staying at the DL hotel on points too, checking in on Wednesday before the cruise and also flying into SNA. Are you on Concierge level? May be see you there!

Pam

This is for a weekend getaway in November. Call DVC and check on your ressie. Even the concierge level points were reduced. People on the DVC board have stated getting points returned becuase of the reduction.

Are you from the area? I've never actually been to the Inn at Quechee (and never been to the Quechee Gorge). I've only lived here (in Lebanon, NH) since 1999. Before that I lived in Randolph, VT for 3 years and before that I lived in Sheldon, VT (where I was born).

We discovered the Inn at Quechee on a summer driving trip through New England but only had ressies for one night. We loved it so much we went back two years later. The food was incredible and the Inn peaceful and lovely. When you want to treat yourself, try it out.

We'll have to check it out sometime. We don't go out to eat too often (and when we do it's usually one of the "chains" like Applebees, Chilis....). We really should get out more. :rotfl2:

Had my 3 hour LASIK consultation today---will be getting it done next Wed!!! I am so stoked! I'm getting "custom lasik" in both eyes--costs a little more than standard but has a higher % of attaining 20/40 or better. Worth it to me!! My mom also is a great candidate for it (despite her worries if she was or not)--she will get "custom lasik" in one eye and monovision in the other (I think that's what it was--so she won't have to use reading glasses). Thank God Shawn's on vacation next week--to tend to Addison the first 24-48 hours. The techs were telling me about one lady who used powder makeup before she was told she could and it got in her eye and now needs a cornea transplant!! I will do exactly as told!

Yipee :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I am very happy for you. Very wise of you to have someone around for Addison, some of my patients think they can handle childcare and recovery and fine themselves very stressed.

You sound like a perfect patient to me, I love the ones that follow all the instructions. The first time you wake up and can see the alarm clock without glasses will be exciting.

Good for you Amanda!!! hope you are recovering well...

i would LOVE to have Lasik and get rid of those darn glasses..(wore contacts for many years but got allergic to it) but i am just so skeptical of getting it done...What if somehow the Dr screw it up, i will be the next Helen Keller!! :sad2:

Boy. I just keeps getting better and better. One of my co-workers just got back in the office. He was out at one of our jobsites taking pictures. He saw our "sick" employee drive by with a friend in the car. :confused3 He must be really sick, huh. :rotfl2:

A good starting point is to find out if you are even a candidate. The screening is usually free (at least at our place). After that check out the MD's reputation, call some former patients and check out your state's Board of Physician Quality Assuranace. We keep statistics on every patient's pre and post op vision and share them freely with the folks who are thinking about surgery.

VAL!!!!!!!
got a great deal for you from BUDGET Rental car...

look for my PM and E mail...

Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) on Friday said earnings for the rest of its fiscal year would likely miss Wall Street forecasts.

"The downturn has been attributed to a mean spirited boycott campaign by a wacko Canadian", chief financial officer Richard Galanti said in a statement.

Congrats to Marissa on a very well earned achievement!

Pam: Loved the maintenence reports!

Jenny: You have one stellar employee!

My eye doc says for me to never have the Lasik surgery. I trust him. I wouldn't know what to do without glasses anyway.

Supposed to get the s word on Sunday. I thought this was finally over after a record year for the stuff.

Hey I'm British, not Canadian OK!!! ;)
It takes that many folks to wheel you around in that wheelchair Bob? :)
(Actually great photo!!)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Susan,
Would you mind sending me a PM when you get my $$ for the pins & medallions? I'd like to make sure that it arrived!

For the Fools who are going to DL before the cruise I want to find out the least expensive place you are finding park tickets.

I just booked 2 nights at the DL hotel (on points). DVC has lowered the points needed to stay at the DL Hotel (only the DLH, not the PP or GC).

Bought airfare into Orange.

Just need to book transfers and park tickets.

DD and I are gonna have a girls weekend in November. She has a couple of days off from school and we are leaving DH at home! :cool1:
What are the POINTS you use to go to the DL Hotel??
Joyce aka DisneyPata

Had a great visit last night with Lynn, her husband and Mary. What nice people they are! Mary is in a dancing competition today not far from me. Victoria and Mary were in the hotel pool for two hours. They were like raisins when we told them to get out at 9pm. Victoria kept asking for 5 more minutes because they won't see eachother for FOUR months!

Lynn and I were laughing so much and so loud we made spectacles of ourselves. It really made me look forward to this summer!

Got a DL 2day park hopper from Marriott points but was unable to use my Disney Rewards card to get Victoria's ticket. I am hoping I'll be able to pick it up at a Disney store. No sense in putting out money now or saving the points for the cruise!

We are confirmed for early dining which is a relief!

Tonight is a special chat night I believe? I'm looking forward to it! Have a great day.

She is talking about Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Points!

Apparently DVC lowered the amount of points we need to stay at the hotel.

But I'll stick to GC especially since I don't have enough points left!LOL

We already know who is next door to us, but do they know about us, Tinkerbell129???

Pam
Pam - Lori (tinkerbel129) is my bestest Disney friend!! She will be traveling with her DH Walt and their DS Dean (18). Maybe Dean and Joy can hang-out together!

Lori hasn't been on the boards for a while, but since we talk on the phone at least once a week I'll let her know that you, Allan & Joy are going to be her neighbors on the ship.

FYI - You and she are right above Grumbo!!

Robin -

Were you on the waitlist for early dining? How did you find out you got into the early seating? Who is your TA?
