PamPat - Congrats to you being married to a granddad now, and to Allan on his new little grandbaby!

Happy Sunday everyone! I have paperwork to do for work today...bah humbug, but first am going to do some fun stuff with the family. Have a good one!

Hi Donna,

I could be wrong, but I think they are doing "The Story of Walt Disney" for the 50th in this theatre.

Barbara :)

Actually the park will temporarily replace "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln" with "Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years" — exhibits and a film presentation hosted by Steve Martin and Donald Duck.

The Main Street attraction also will feature recently uncovered film footage from opening day as well as a model of how the park appeared in 1955.

The story of Walt Disney (One Mans Dream) is still being played in the Animation building at DCA

The golden mickey ears came up in chat last night, here's a picture of them. $10 for adults, $9.50 for kids. You can buy them at any of the DL hat shops and probably other stores that sell hats also.

oh no Robin, , i do like the whole hat gold!! It will stand out!! :teeth:

Well that is even better! I just caught a quick glimpse of banner at night as we were leaving DL a few weeks ago. Read it quickly from a far. I can't wait to see the show! Too bad those visiting will not get to see the Lincoln show too...I love that show!

Thanks Donna...I tried to stay up last nite in chat to hear more about the hat but couldn't. I will have to get one while there...it will be perfect for my 50th birthday celebration!!!

Congratulations to Granddad...That's a good size baby!!

I love the hat !!! I'm definitely buying a couple when we're at DL. Sorry I missed everyone in chat last night. With Mary's birthday today, I had a very hectic weekend. We had a great time though, so it was worth every minute. I'm so happy it's finally spring !!!

I think I will be buying two of those golden Mickey Ears (one for me and one for Haley).

Sorry I missed chat last night too. I was exhausted since we got up early to put up Haley's new swingset. We got her one of those wooden ones from Costco that has everything imaginable on it for her to play with. The only thing that's left to put on is the roof on the "clubhouse". I put her Barbie house together yesterday and she spent the entire day in it playing. The house is so cool - it has a skylight, an electronic phone and a working doorbell. The first thing she said was "My house, leave please." At least she was polite about it. :rotfl: She even took a bowl of cookies and her cup of juice and put them on the table in her house. She then sat down on one of the chairs to have her snack. So cute.

Renee` - Is that the Sunray model from Rainbow PlaySystems? Runs about $1,000 at Costco? We put up that one last year for Megan (and Emma). They both just love it. I had checked out the other Rainbow models (that they install) and this was an amazing DIY deal! My BIL is a carpenter so he came over and 3 of us had it up in a day. I hope Haley likes hers, too!

Happy Birthday to Mary!!!

You sound like us Renee' - Every Spring we have/had the itch to get at least one new large pretend play item for our kids. Can't get better than a Barbie house & new swing set! So, we want to see a new photo of Haley in it!

Here is our family's Disney related news for the weekend. We visited dd's mission in San Diego on Saturday. It is Mission San Luis Rey. Well, above the cemetery gate they have a skull with crossbones below. It was added by Disney in the late 1950's when they filmed the original Zorro there! My dd is one smart Sister, she picked a Disney related mission!!! :flower3: ::yes:: :jumping1: ::yes::

Yep, that's the one. We paid $1200 for it at Costco. I couldn't believe the deal we got on this too. We've been looking around and the prices are so high. It's amazing that we could have paid the same amount for a much smaller one from someplace else. You gotta love Costco.

We also got mulch that is made from recycled tires to put around it for when she falls. It is so soft. Not like the regular mulch. Very expensive too. $12.99 for a 18 pound bag and we bought 60 bags. :earseek: Not enough so we have to get more. Oh my poor Lowes credit card.
