Happy Presidents' Day to our American Friends!

I wish it was a holiday here - there was over a foot of SNOW to shovel this morning (and no plows had visited our court yet either) :earseek: So much for weather forecasts - as of 11:30 last night, The Weather Network claimed there would be 2-3" for our area!!!
Arlene

We were supposed to get 6" and got nothing but wqet and slush...thank heavens. I guess the weatherpeople are no better in Canada.

We are on the NY/NJ border and we got 8 inches of snow....hubby and DD are taking care of the driveway right now while I am Disboarding!!!

We, in almost southern New Hampsire are supposed to be getting 3 to 6. We have 6 and it is coming down hard and fast, big flakes! At least I don't have to go out except to walk the dog!

No new art yet, nut as soon as I get it, I will upload it to the store, so those of you waiting for the non gray box, hand in there, please!

My DH wants to know if you have had any ghost sitings yet, since those old homes in NY have a history of that. He loves that kind of stuff. :earseek:

No, no ghost sightings. Part of what we liked about this house is that it had very good "vibes." Of course with a house this old it's a pretty sure bet that SOMEONE has died in it but probably not tragically. There WAS this one house that we looked at in a different town that was known as the "fertility" house. Apparently the last 3 couples who have lived there have had extraordinary luck when it came to having kids. The first couple who restored it were in their 40's in infertile and the wife got pregnant as soon as they moved in and they ended up having 3 kids. They sold the house because they didn't want anymore kids and she kept getting pregnant in spite of using birth control, or so the stories go. The second already had a child but also had 4 more kids in the few years they lived there and sold the house for the same reason. The third couple was also infertile and bought the house and miraculously had two kids. They were selling it because they didn't want more than two. Apparently there are ghosts of some children playing in the attic in that house. I'm such a chicken and we are not yet ready for kids so I didn't even go to look at that house! Maybe it's a gimmick to get desperate couples to buy it, I don't know, but the ghost thing would scare me off!

I am so surprised NO ONE posted yesterday that we hit the SIX MONTHS mark! Yippee!!

Nancy--

I think we're all hitting the six month mark at various times. I noticed on my countdown ticker that I went from "6 Months" yesterday to "5 Months, 4 Weeks" today. My questions is this: What's the difference??? ;)

My countdown is actually set for the first day of vacation, August 18, rather than the first day of the cruise.

I feel this is plain RUDE to post that when I was outside shovelling 8 inches of snow off the upper driveway and cleaning off the expedition. At least the condo folke did the botton 1/2 of the drive. Now the flakes are teeny, so maybe it's stopping. My fingers are frozen! Thinsulate, my eye.

I thought it was prett rude too. ;) We got about 6 inches here. It's just the light fluffy stuff though. It's been snowing pretty good with the little flakes here since I got up (around 9). I hope it stops soon, we're going grocery shopping after lunch. I'm hoping it's not too busy (and the "stop and standers" aren't out). I'm lucky - I just send Jamie out and he cleans the driveway :teeth: . Hopefully it stops soon. :umbrella:

First of all, that's just downright spiteful to list your temperature forecast for those of us in freezing/snow/slush filled areas! LOL :smooth:

My countdown is also set for the actual day we leave for Las Vegas (8/11) and not for the first day of the cruise. But boy the days and weeks just seem to be falling off that counter all of a sudden! :earseek:

Now when I become a ghost - that's the kind of job I want.

OK, that fake sunshine ( :sunny: ) just won't do!

So, here's some REAL FL sunshine straight from Clearwater, FL!

And here's the <a href="http://www.globalcam.net/demosharborviewcenter.html">web cam</a> where that image came from.

Okay, Kmiles, now you're pushing the limit......green grass, blue water, warm breeze, sunshine.....how cruel, how vicious.....how..Floridian !!!! booohooo booohooooo

Hey, my countdown clock is at 5 months, 3 weeks !!!!!! (That's 8/17)

Hopefully this will work. Here is an aerial photo of Disneyland and California Adventure! The "red pushpin" is HoJos. The circle that looks like a wheel with spokes coming out of it is right in front of the castle in DL. The square shape down from there is the plaza between DL and DCA. If you zoom in, you can see the word "California" backwards in front of DCA. DTD is immediately to the left of the plaza and extends to DLH (just across the next street). GC is in DTD and goes into DCA. PP is south of DLH and west of DCA (next to the street).

Aerial Photo

Very cool, Tracy! You can scroll down and see DCA, you can see the GC pools, scroll west and see the DL Hotel and Paradise Pier. I love these arial maps. I wish they were all as up to date as this one!
