Could those folks who have requested bus service to MCO after the cruise PM me their departing airline and departure times. The airline info is to see which side of the airport you'll need to be dropped off at and the time is to coordinate the bus leaving the port and to make sure that those with earlier departures leave as early as possible.

Those intending to continue their already long vacation plans might want to take the bus to MCO for a car rental. The rates to pick-up and return to MCO is about 1/2 the cost of rentals from the port and dropping off at MCO.

Possible Bus To MCO after cruise-Update

Are there any more people interested yet?? Our total so far is 80, and there is room for 55 per bus or 110 passengers in total.

If we use Mears Transportation and manage to fill the bus (capacity 55) the final cost will be $7.29 per person. If bus leaves the Port by 10:00am or so, it should put us at Orlando Airport by 11:00am. Cost for bus is 401.25 and tip is included as per my contact. Departing Airline is needed to make sure you are dropped off at correct side of terminal.

Some people have mentioned the bus times seem a little late. We can make our pick up time anytime we want and if we have 2 buses they can have different pick up times. Those with earlier flights will be put onto the earlier bus regardless of which bus you are now set for.

As for plans, we have our flights Delta from ABE to Orange County. Taxi to the HOJO. Friday at DL and the Dis meet at the HOJO. Saturday off on Bobs' bus to the port. On the third I think we are taking Disney transfer to MCO and then Delta back to ABE. Where hopefully one of the children will be waiting to pick up their parental units. Guess we really only have to worry about the excursions and the tickets for DL. Gee we're further along than I thought.:cool1:

We will be sure to thank you properly on the cruise. You rock LooneyHOOD brother and are off probation from the Sisterhood for a few minutes in time, lol!

We'd be happy to send you packaging with proper postage so you could ship it...that would be alot of mats to carry on board. Just let us know how much we owe you and what would be best for you.

Yes you can and I would STRONGLY suggest that you do so - I think you can make priority seating ressies 60-90 days in advance.
 
Planning stages:

What's been done:
We're booked for HISP for 8/19

We've figured out how to get to the cruise terminal & where we're parking the vehicles

We have about 1/2 of the cruise fare due (paying off with bonus check in March)

We have group airfare booked for Monday 09/05 from MCO to LAX for $126.51 per person on United (don't have to pay though until July 31st)

What we still need to do:
arrange for accommodations for 9/3 and 9/4 nights ... preferably at our timeshare

arrange for rental car(s) in Florida

arrange for KSC tickets for 9/3 after we diembark the Magic

make dinner ressies for 9/3 and/or 9/4 for a rather large group

finish paying off Discovery Cove (9/4/05)

figure out how to get from LAX to where the cars are parked on 9/5

Okay, I know I'm forgettin' something......

it is a restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean - somewhat on the pricey side but very nice

Blue Bayou is awesome! Denise and I ate there many years ago; you are right at the opening scene from Pirates of the Carribean, siting uder a bunch of trees looking out at the bayou. Actually similar in idea to the restaraunt at Mexico in WDW, but more intimate.

Good morning and good bye to all! I am off to hop in the shower, then taking Max to The Barking Dog Kennel and Doggy Day Care, and then to the airport. The dreaded storm is just light rain so I am off to DC for the weekend. Y'all be real good, no infighting, stay off the "other" thread if you can't play nice. I will miss you in chat, just can't see schlepping the laptop with me.

Can't wait to get back and upload the artwork to Cafepress, and get caught up!
