If you can find the MSN in the middle of the radar window, that's where we are! Snowing like crazy right now!

Hey Mark,

I hope you see this in time. When you get off the ship try calling the airline, sometimes they will allow you to take another flight, without charging you. I have done this several times due to weather (moved my flight to the next day) and just stayed an extra day in WDW. That way I wasn't stuck sitting in the airport waiting, only to find out I am stuck till the next day. So go enjoy the park and let them worry about everyone else.

Mark, I'm so sorry that you missed your CC day. Sandra deserved those 6 Bahama Mamas after this trip. So, tell us, how was it to have ALL those sea days, and be HONEST. :boat:

Cruise is about over!! They offered us free Bahama Mamas on Deck 9 for 1 hour. Sandy had 6, we didn't make dinner!!

We're flying home to Long Island tomorrow afternoon, I guess we're in for a rough ride again. They're expecting snow, maybe up to 10 inches. Hopefully after we land. I would hate to be diverted; and to where??

Mark
Mark, rumor has it that in case of heavy snow, flights into the NYC area will be diverted to Castaway Cay.

I found you, but can you please keep all that snow for yourself, really, there's no need to share this stuff with us!!! :earseek:

Mark I doubt you'll be getting home anywhere near the time you are booked. Florida's a pretty good place to be stuck while we are being pummeled with snow here. When you do get home the roads will probably be bad as well. Are you flying into Islip?

Hey Mark HERE is the forecast for Islip tomorrow. Not too bad if you can get in early.
Better get Sandra a few more Konch Koolers to go with the Bahama Mamas ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Geez! Everyone else always gets the fun snow! :guilty: We never get any of it! :earboy2:

Actually, in the 19 years that I've lived in Florida, I have never seen snow here. Go figure!

Go to a Tampa Bay Lightning game and watch them unload the Zamboni between periods :)

You'll see lots of it ;)

That would only work if we had hockey games to watch

Not to start an International Incident, but thats what happens when you get two American Ivy League lawyers in charge of the Player's Association, and the League itself. Bunch of overpaid, prima donnas on both sides. Have as much fun watching the Jr players (17 - 21) that will be going into the pros next year and going to Meagan's games anyway. PLUS I can afford to go to them :)

Off soap box.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Thanks for the well wishes. We are expecting to leave tomorrow at 12:30pm, I think if we do get off the ground it'll be a rough flight in. I don't mind as long as they can land in Islip. I live less then 10 minutes from the airport so getting home shouldn't be a problem. Sandy wants to check for our lost luggage once we get there, but I think she should wait till after the storm or forget about it.

Sea days aren't that bad as long as you have good people to share it with. The few people from my other thread(that weren't afraid of me) were great to spend time with. We saw each other all the time, never saw my kids!!

Here's a scoop, starting next week you can pre-book all your spa treatments like excursions, in advance- online!! Details aren't finalized yet, so I don't have the e-mail address or specifics.

My DD12 made 3 "lifelong" friends. They were inseperable. I just told them to enjoy their final hours together, they all started crying and hugging each other. ...Mark

it's 66 degrees here about 20 minutes from our embarkation port. The sun is shining in all its glory too...na, na, na, na, na, na!
What, it's not raining cats and dogs today?? We had 60s today in Denver too!

Wow. It would be nice if DU did something like that for clients.

Chuck is a very personable guy to speak with. I have never met him in person but we have spoken on the phone on a number of occassions. I knew he was going to be on our cruise and had tried to convince him to switch cabins but don't think that was going to fly ;)
It will be nice to meet him thats for sure and Mark has booked with All Seasons I know so we'll bring zip lock bags and fill them with goodies for you :)
We got the $200 credit, along with the earlier onboard credit for switching over our reservation from another booked onboard previously, after ALOT of fighting by Chuck on our behalf.

Cheers,
Grumbo

I got to thinking yesterday of all the things we are planning and how some of our fools may not be checking regularly enough to know what's happening. What if we put together an e-mail list for anyone who wants to get monthly, and when we're closer, weekly updates as to what's happening and who's organizing it? I'd be happy to e-mail that to everyone who wants to be included and PM everyone on the list. What do you all think?

Not sure when I'll get to chat tonight, we don't get home from bowling until about 9:00 CST. Will check in then with you all!

Wow. Great news! Will help everyone avoid that "ressie rush" that so many dislike. (I, for one, never really had a problem getting slots that I wanted or found the process to be difficult but it's still good news!)
