Very well said, Marsha. I'm certainly sorry if anything I've posted has hurt anyone's feelings ~ that has never been my intention!

Given some of the "real-world" stresses of the past year, I am truly looking forward to this cruise as an adventure, an opportunity to spend some quality time with my husband and family, and to finally meet in person all the friends from this thread who I've met only through our online postings.

Let's keep the "Magic" in this thread while we're waiting to "Bring The Magic Home".

??? I'm a little puzzled, but yes. Wasn't Dr. Frederick Banting one of the 10 finalists nominated on CBC's "The Greatest Canadian"?

One thing that I've found very interesting meeting people from the internet is you cannot really tell someone's personality in a group discussion. Mark is a completely different person in private chat than he is on this board. I noticed the same thing with a few other people. I have met people on other cruises and it usually seems that the people I think I'll get along with great and want to hang out with on the ship are not the same when I actually meet them and vice versa. I met someone two years ago who irritated the heck out of me on the boards and we went to the clubs every night with them. I see her posts now and the same thing...they irritate me, but that's her spoken word and not her true personality. I hope we all are looking forward to a wonderful experience, a well deserved vacation (holiday) with our family, and hopefully meeting some new friends along the way. We won't all become best friends, but it will be nice to know a couple people from Englad, a couple more people from Canada, and so many more from all over the US. The people I have already met through the DIS boards have truly enriched my life...whether I like them or not. Right now, I can't say I don't like any body here, we all just have our own personalities, which I don't think we really know yet. I've met Marsha and I still don't think I really know her personality yet

Lets move on and go back to discussing onboard meets, excursions, pre-cruise parties, and on and on.... That is what we are all here for!

I have to go back to my actual persona and Melinda quit PM'ng me just because Mark won't answer you while he is on the ship.
To the rest of you Mark put me up to this. He is truly evil. I am so looking forward to meeting most of you... Oh OK I'll include Mark, ALL of you in August.

Scratch go over to the Canadian thread on how you chose your DIS nickname. You'll see how I told them how I divorced you and how your nick story is very interesting.

Arlene Doris will be coming for tea and actually there will be 3 other ladies. If it becomes a couples thing I'd go. Truth be known I drink very little and Doris not at all
Finally Melinda. You're a great sport, and I was messing with you. Mark told me it would be funny. Sheesh. I will buy Bob a BOTTLE OF Zinfandel. Heck he deserves it!!!
