We will be at the HOJO and would love to get together. We will be doing DL that day, what time do you think you will get together? I don't know what time the park closes that night. I'd like to stay 'til closing but DH will more than likely vote for an earlier night.
Darlene

Hi Darlene,

I think the timeframe for the "meet" at the HOJO's will be Friday evening. There may be another "in-park" meet either that day or Thursday. From looking at Disneyland's hours last August, I think the park may stay open until Midnight! :earseek:

I'll be there from Tuesday afternoon on, with 3 day hoppers for the park, so I can be pretty flexible about meeting with people.

Me too!! will be there on the 11th... Friday night seems to be the best night for a Disparty that way everyone should be able to be there by then...

There seems to be a lot more availability on the May repo, than on ours. The web site showed availability in cat 8 through cat 12 on the May cruise. When I checked, the only price I got back, on our cruise, was for a cat 11..... $6454 for 2 adults and an 11 year old. I doubt if the pricing will ever drop from the top tier. I sure am glad we booked an hour after the reservations opened up.

I have not posted for a number of months. The twins were born in November and life is hectic (but fun) to say the least.

Anyhow, now that Guatamala is off the itenerary, are passports still necessary?
Hey, we were talking about you the other night and wondering if they had arrived yet! Congratulations.

Now I need to change them from "TBD" to M/F; what did you have?

We are still hashing out the passport issue. My guess is we will get a concensus a few days after we sail...
:-)

My personal opinion is that passports are always a good idea.

Now that is a picture worthy of being entered in a contest! ;)

From a web site about Curacao:

US and Canadian citizens need either a valid passport, or proof of citizenship in the form of an original birth certificate accompanied by photo ID, and an onward or return ticket. Most other nationals need only a passport

For Mexico: As a Canadian you DO NOT need a passport to enter Mexico. You need a birth certificate and a piece of photo I.D. Kids just need a birth certificate. Same thing for US visitors.

As far as the Canal, unless the ship is stopping and allowing passengers to disembark (which it isn't), you don't need a passport there either. You do need the same raised seal BC and ID.

Now all you people that I just save a bundle of money, you all owe me a drink! I'll take it from the drink machine on Deck nine.................

Even though getting passports can be expensive, they offer 100% proof of citizenship. I think it is wise to have one. I don't like to travel with my BC, it is solid proof of my birth, but if I loose it, anyone could take it and use it as ID to get a forged DL or Passport. If I lose my passport, it has my picture sealed into it, it would be harder for someone to turn themselves into looking like me.

Also for those traveling with a passport be sure to photocopy the first page with your photo and ID number and keep in a safe place. Much easier to replace it if you lose it if you have that info.

However when I go to the Canada Immigration Page it states....
For Canadians travelling to the United States:
Even though a passport is not required at this time for entry to the United States, it is essential if you decide to go on a cruise or to continue your travel to another country.
I agree with your interpretation Marsha, just so many conflicting bits of information out there.

Our family all have passports (and I'm not a Canadian Citizen anyway) so is a moot point for us, but I'd think Disney would be able to tell us now.

Cheers,
Grumbo

I vote for two different times for a DL meet and HoJo meet and I might come to both :teeth:

We will not only have a photocopy of the first page of each passport with us (separate from the passports) but we'll leave a copy at home, and we'll probably ship a photocopy to our TA just in case.

Here's some interesting info from the May Repo cruise thread:

Good news and bad news...

Good news first: DCL has finalized the excursions!

Bas news: No SCUBA at Castaway Cay. But we now know why...hurricane damage.

I have a list of the excursions, but it's just in email format, so if you want it, PM me and I can email it to you. Don't panic if you don't get it right away, I will likely wait until I have a bunch of email addresses before I send it out.
:jumping1: :jumping1:

Could someone from our group with connections get a copy of the excursions? Our group's reputation doesn't seem to be so good with the May cruisers ...

"Darn, guess I still need to find another two week cruise to go on. However, I don't think I want to join the Ship of Fools in August heading back to WDW!"

I agree. Something like a meet at about 11am for an early lunch somewhere in DL on friday, and another that evening at HoJos. If we wait til Friday for both, more will have arrived.

Still haven't heard from DU with an upgrade price....

Coming right up! When I get it, I'll let you all know.
