Yeah, i notice that...Do you think it is a mistake, or do they know something we don't???

I'm hoping they know something we don't. I've heard that it is not uncommon for a port to be added to a Panama Canal cruise. I guess the ships have to leave a big window around their Canal day until they find out their reservation time. Once they know what time they're going though the canal they sometimes add a port. I've even heard that there are times the passengers don't find out about an added port until they get onboard.

'Scuse me, but Lincoln was born in Kentucky, unless they lied to me when we took that field trip to his birthplace when I was in second grade and living in Ft. Knox!

Did a Google search on Lincoln and this is what i found:
In the fall of 1808, Thomas and Nancy Lincoln settled on the 348 acre Sinking Spring Farm. Two months later on February 12, 1809, Abraham Lincoln was born in a one-room log cabin near the Sinking Spring. Here the Lincolns lived and farmed before moving to land a few miles away at Knob Creek. The area was established by Congress on July 17, 1916. An early 19th century Kentucky cabin, symbolic of the one in which Lincoln was born, is preserved in a memorial building at the site of his birth.

Val is right!! What does Grumbo know?? He is a Canadian!! Of course, i think Jason went along too...Guess the guys were asleep in History!!

Oh Mel! ~ His is Gorgeous!

Good Val, those LooneyHOODs need some more guys cause' they're in big trouble for their last stunt! Hoping my dh will join us at chat tonight.

BTW, re: Lost - dh said Claire was taken away by the "islanders." ??? I have not been keeping up with it so it makes no sense to me.

Still good weather for you all in CO?

Barbara
Beautiful sweater weather and more to come!

Re LOST: anyone find it strange that a polar bear was roaming the island??

Barbara, I don't know if my DH can keep up with the rest of the looneyhood! And I'll never get the computer back! He's going to call himself Joe Mouse and is currently searching for the perfect avatar, so we may cruise before he makes an appearance! :flower:

No, sorry! I was only referring to the part where he was buried!

I remember visiting his tomb in Sringfield when I was little. His house too!

I didn't know that he was actually born in Kentucky though! Learn something every day on the Ship of Fools thread!!! :)

Maybe when Grumbo said "from" he was actually referring not to the birth state of Lincoln but rather to the state he lived in prior to becoming the 16th president... ;)

Well Val, we feel for all our midwest and eastern buddies, don't we. ;) Stay warm and safe all!

Dh told me about the polar bear, now that's a little over the top if you ask me...

OK Val, you had just better keep your dh off the thread to be safe, we need you here with The Sisterhood!!!

I've never been in chat before. How do I get there? The link on post #1 won't work for me...

Thanks.
