Will this be mail to each of us before cruise, or at the precruise party, or day of cruise???

Like the new chat last night except the font needs to be bigger!! My Dh yelled at me for moving the monitor closer to me so i can read w/o straining my eyes!!

We will be collecting $$ for pins & medallions in a couple of months (before they are ordered) and they will be distributed at 8/19 pre-cruise dismeets and also on the ship (to those dissers that do not make it to an 8/19 pre-cruise dismeet at the HISP or GCH).

Yup, I know she's got people waiting for at least 2 rooms, so if you give up your room it'll be gone almost before you hang up the phone.

If we sent you a SASE with our money for the pins, will you mail them to us? This will make it easier for you since the pins & medallions are going to be very heavy. I have no problem doing that.

depending on the quantity you're ordering it might have to be a sizeable LBE (little brown envelope..probably not so "little") and postage won't be the typical 37 cents.

I could probably "do the math" to figure out what the postage will be based on quantity of pins/medallions being shipped. So if anyone really does want to do the SASE thing (or just pay extra when you pay for the pins/medallions to cover the purchase of the LBE and the postage) I'm willing to ship out the pins.

Otherwise, the weight doesn't bother me. We've got wheeled luggage. The current plan right now as on our drive to San Pedro on 8/19 we will make a stop at GCH in DLR to drop off pins/medallions & a check-off list for Dan & Scott and they'll do distribution at the GCH dismeet. I will then take the rest of the pins/medallions onto HISP where I'll distribute pins/medallions at that dismeet.

Anything left will stay in the wheeled luggage and be checked at the port.

And on the bright side ... instant "free" room in the luggage once I unload all of the pins/medallions!!

Ok, i took a look at the Alamo ressies that i had and i didn't realize it was a dropped off at Long Beach airport. does anyone know how far is LBA to the port?? Wonder if there is a shuttle from LBA to port??

Perhaps i will stick with Budget instead.

Ok people, looks like lots of us has Budget car rentals and dropping off on the 20th......would someone like to volunteer to check into shuttles and keep a list???

Now, just to make sure, we are talking one and same location...

I have already sent an email to Primetime Shuttle for pricing and to see if they even service that area -- or just airports. If anyone else knows of any other car/shuttle services, let me know and I'll ask them for a price quote also.

Actually -- I am in total agreement. Why don't we try to coordinate how many are interested and I'll keep a list. And then maybe we could just pick a day and all meet for lunch right when the restaurant opens and just ask to all sit in the same area. What can they say? Our food is included, right?

Totally agree - we're happy to be on the sit-in list (three of us) - but we're not asking DCL to do anything other than honour (OK that's a Brit spelling!) our right to have lunch - and frankly if they don't co-operate then they will face some disruption.

why tell DCL in advance of our lunch plans??

instead, why don't we just all plan on lunch at whatever time the restaurant of choice opens on a specific day? what are they going to do when 100 people show up at the same time for lunch? the only trick is getting them to seat us in the same section, and not spread us around the restaurant (unless of course we will be truly taking over the restaurant a la capacity)

Just curious... when did the dismeet move from HoJos to GCH? Or are they two different meets?
