Just curious...

Did anyone actually view the Curacao video this week?

I did, kmiles! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I ran it on my home PC last night, and Martin walked by as it was starting. So we both watched all of it, and Lara joined us for the last 10 minutes.

It's an excellent video and really captures everything available on the island. The hard part will be choosing what to do/see in the limited time we're there. That's one port I'd love to spend a few extra hours in!

Our plan for now is to go to the Curacao Sea Aquarium for their interactive snorkelling adventure and then do some shopping in Willemstad. The video reminded us about the floating bridge and the floating market that we want to show Lara too, as well as the snorkelling with sea turtles (not at the aquarium). What to do, what to do?????

I'm eagerly awaiting Disney's list of excursions to see what our options are, although we may make our own plans, especially for the Seaquarium. Anyone else have ideas of what they want to do?

Glad you liked the video Arlene. After watching the video I got the impression that Curacao may be similar to St. Martin, which I love.

I really hope Disney gives us some shore excursion info soon! Who wants to wait until the last minute to plan? :( I want to start now, now, now! ::yes::

Keep you britches on, buster. Disney will get the info out to us when they are darn good and ready, and not a moment sooner. If they start letting us know what they have planned for us now, it will just give you something else to be antsy about later, like how are we going to check in at San Pedro. Sheesh, you would think that everyone is a compulsive planner here.............
(ooooooh, i think the chat mistress thing has gone to my head! all that power!!!!)

I still haven't found the binoculars. Something tells me they are in a yet to be unpacked box in the basement. Guess I will go down there later and see what is what.

Ahhh... So true. I guess we'll get a glimpse of some of the info from the westbound cruise. Even if it isn't the same it should provide us with an idea of what Disney will lay out.

And, speaking of such things, I wonder how Disney will handle check in?!? :) It's going to be odd not boarding the Magic from the Disney terminal. Kinda sad in a way... But, I'll get over it once I'm on the ship!!! :earboy2:

Good luck in the basement. ;)

I wonder if they will have Club Registration in the lobby in CA as they do in FL? Not that I need to register anyone, but it's a ligit question, eh?

I'm sad that we won't be able to use Shirley's place for gift baskets.

I didn't know they had bushwackers on the ship. I spent a week in Pensacola one time and tried several different versions. They are yummy. Always have a Konk Kooler when we are on CC. Sailaway Party on WOnder in early December, we had Pina Coladas with Strawberry Daiquiri on the top. That was very good too.

I'm actually looking forward to this aspect of the cruise. It is totally different to what we're all used to, I'm wondering if they'll have some kind of "farewell" for the ship as it leaves for the final time, ceremonies etc. Also will they have a welcome for the Magic on its' return to Port Canaveral? I know it gets in so darn early in the morning but this is one of the attractions (for us anyway) of this cruise. The new and unusual aspects of the repositioning cruise and the ports, and the 14 days are great :)
My daughter has her Mickey hands from a previous trip to WDW all ready to take with her to wave to the folks in L.A. .
Don't know about the rest of you but now we're into 2005 this cruise seems more "real" and that it is within the forseeable future :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I'm happier that we disembark in a DCL terminal versus embarking in one ... disembarking with other cruise lines can be less than enjoyable and is one experience I do not want :teeth:

Well don't forget that Roy Disney will be cruising with us so i would imagine they will have some kind of special Farewell/ceremonies. Let's hope!! I do know that the port in LA is not as lavish as PC...

Has anyone ever use SPACE BAGS for packing?...(the vacuum kind)
I saw that Ad on TV last night and gave me an  Does it really really worked? The only thing i worry is that how the heck can i vacuum the bags going home?? Think the stateroom host will let me borrow one of his??

Do we know for a fact that Roy Disney is cruising???

It's most certainly a legit question. I didn't even know they had club registration in the lobby. Of course, I would have no need to know that they had club registration in the lobby. But now I do know that they have club registration in the lobby just in case someone would come up to me during embarkation and ask if they do indeed have club registration in the lobby.

I'm not sure if they do have the Bushwacker on the ship. Never asked for one onboard. The only time I've had one was when I enjoyed the so-termed "original and authentic" Bushwacker on St. Thomas at Paradise Point. It was very delicious!

So many nice frozen drinks and so little time, right Nanci? Oh, wait, we have fourteen days. That's plenty of time to enjoy them all! :D

I do hope they have a big send-off for us when we leave L.A. They should have the Disneyland Marching Band there and characters (not any we see on the ship, mind you), and free champagne! I have a feeling the send-off will be a bigger celebration than the return to Port Canaveral. It's just soooooo early!

Maybe Mickey Hands will be one of the prizes in the First Annual Winter Season Photo Contest! Can't say for sure...

No. It's a rumor.

In all honesty, if I were betting on such a thing, I'd bet that it isn't going to happen. That's "IMHO", of course. :)

Melinda, I am also interested in space bags. From what I have read, there are 2 kinds. One you use with your vaccuum cleaner to suck out the air, but there are also ones that you roll up and squeeze the air out manually. I think those are the ones that are used for travel since we all can't travel with our vaccuum!!!!! Let me know if you decide to get some.
