For those of us who signed up on or around May 5th, we are just past the halfway point.

What?!? Only half way??? Maybe I can hibernate for the winter and that will make it get here sooner. Seems like May 5 was years ago.

As for the price question........ booked, by phone, about an hour after the ressies were released.......... cat 4, 2 adults and one 11 year old........ $6700, including insurance, no transfers.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

Ed

At least it's finally 2005 !!!! We can count down in small increments: First February vacation, then April vacation, then end of school!!!!! Then end of summer we are on the cruise!!!!! Woooohoooo!!!! :cool1:

What are we going to do with ourselves when this is all over? :guilty:

Just out of curiosity, I would love to see the original prices for this cruise when it was first announced. Does anyone have them?? Thanks.....

Jen,
Here's another price point for you...We were able to get through within the first 1/2 hour or so when they released these sail dates. We got a Cat 4 room with 2 adults and 2 children for $8000.

Also, welcome aboard! We're also booked on the "Cruisin' Castaways" sail for 2006. (It's hard enough to keep up with this thread, so we've just been lurking a little over there.)

Paul

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

DD Sandra received the cutest postcard from WDW. Thank you, Kiele! She wants me to tell you that she can't wait to meet you and hopes you had a great trip to WDW.

Here's looking forward to a wonderful, healthy, new year :wizard:

Happy New Year Everyone!

We had a nice holiday and picked up a brand new addition to our family: an 11 week black lab/sheppard mix puppy! We named him Sammy and so far he is loving his 2 year old Bassett sister Suzy. I have adjusted my kennel bill for August accordingly.

We are booked for the August 19th '06 Western and while I am subscribed to the meets thread, I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with this thread.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the May cruisers experiences. It's so nice to think, 'I am going on a cruise THIS year'!

We would have to have a FOOLS reunion!!!

My parents are here for the weekend and my mother would like to know if Roy would join the "Fool's Pool", swimming with us!! I laughed so hard to hear my mom said it in such a way and how she came up with that....It rhymes!!

Good luck with your new pup, Robin Marie..

Back from our holiday and a belated Happy New Year to all the Fools out there.

Hi Mr. Jazzman( great name),
We lived in Ro Dyelin for a while. Been in Pa. for 4 years now. Tell me who your new Providence mayor is ( I hear Cianci is back in jail ).
Missing the ocean big time here in the Lehigh Valley! What I wouldn't give for a beautiful Barrington view about now!

I've seen Jazz's photo. I wouldn't describe him that way at all, but to each their own ;)

Cheers,

Same here - cat 7, 2 adults 1 teen $5602.47 - booked ASAP 05.05.2004 through our TA

Great picture, Melinda! Could you forward me those posting instructions?

Told DD about exchanging photos of the big hair, and she was horrified! :p Boy was that fun!

I wish the cruise would come, but it occurs to me that that would be wishing away the whole winter (ok), but also spring and summer! And then we would be right back in the thick of the school year, Halloween, and the holidays again!

Booked my SSR vacation for next Thanksgiving, so now we're really in Disney withdrawals, especially after seeing the Rose Parade where the Disneyland 50th celebration kicked off the parade with a bang, and Mickey was the Grand Marshall! Did anyone else watch? It's a tradition in my family, and this year there was a local band from across town that marched! Also have to cheer for my alma mater, Cal Poly Pomona, when the Cal Poly float rolls around. Woohoo!

Lara and I love to watch the "Tournament of Roses" Parade. We were especially excited since Mickey was the Grand Marshall!!! We enjoyed the Disneyland kickoff number on NBC, then the wonderful float leading the parade, and finally Mickey himself in his flower-decked car :jumping4: :jumping4: :jumping4:

After that though, I had to get back to cooking and asked Lara to just describe the floats to me. Saw a few of them, but will enjoy more next year when it's not my turn to host Japanese "Shogetsu" Dinner!

Actually, the relatives didn't leave until after 1:00 am, even though they arrived at 4:00 pm!!! And there was food available every hour of their visit! (Beats me how they can eat constantly, yet I'M the one with the weight problem! ) It all worked out though, and a good time was had by all who were here.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday in Barbados, Andrew!!!
Please wish Alice a "Merry Christmas" from Lara. Her fingers are almost recovered, but she hasn't been using the computer while her hand has been taped up.
Arlene

Thank you just picked this up back this morning from two wonderful weeks, will pass on to Alice as well. Hope Lara is better now.

I tried a local cabernet-type wine and a Lodi Late Harvest Symphony NYE. They were both really good! This is getting exciting!!

Tracy, i am going to see if i can bring the wine from here. There is a good winery over in Lancaster, PA. that i forgot about, my father told me about....Perhaps i will bring it on the plane instead...It would be good to taste the wine from all over. :D

We haven't ever brought wine on the plane to vacation, but we have brought many bottles home from vacation :teeth: We've wrapped them up in our clothes and even checked the wine with only one break due to mis-wrapping. I will bring mine in the carry-on though for safety reasons. We usually bring alcohol onboard, but buy it just before boarding, but not with this wine.

Someone asked a few pages back about bringing alcohol onboard. Not a problem with Disney, but you need to have it in a bag, carryon, etc., rather than just carrying it on in an obvious way.
