Melinda's right - this did come up earlier, but I don't think any action was taken. A section to ourselves is a fantastic idea!!!

We'd love to link up with some fellow "Fools" for Early Seating dinner as well.

We're a party of 5.

If only we has someone who could keep a list and then update it. Where is TWhipple when you need her, her "Gemini side" WinoTracy doesn't even seem to post as often as her alter ego did. Any other takers? We'd need one person from each seating.

I think we'd all have to either contact our individual TAs or DCL directly. Either way we'd need complete names to do this, and these boards are not the place to do so.

Hey I found another "Fools" member. He's going on my 1/15/04 cruise. His name is on the list on the first page, but he hasn't posted here at all. His name is Big Jack 2002.

**Bus update**

Just wanted to say "Good Morning" & Happy "All Saint's Day".

I am thinking of taking a little cruise when I go to Long Beach the first week of 2005. They have two cruises:boat: :boat: that would fit the time I am out there. One is a Royal Caribbean & the other is a Carnival. Both go 1/3/05-1/7/05. It would still give me plenty of time to go to Disneyland, etc. Does anybody know anything about these cruises? It would give my daughter & I plenty of time to "bond".

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween. Have a great day. I am off to the Orthopedic Dr. with my Mom & then have to wait for the plumber. My shower goes cold before you are done washing your hair! I understand it could be a heating element. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

My ego and alterego have both been extremely busy since returning from our cruise last month. Unlike Grumbo who has a government job and Mark & Sandra who does, what is it that you do for a living Mark? Is Sandra the breadwinner, allowing you more time to DIS people on the boards (pun intended)? Unfortunately, when I’m out of the office, my work sits. No one does anything so I’ve been working weekends just to get caught up. Almost there now. Now I have to catch up on the index. Or should I scrap that idea? Does anyone use it?

Mark, i will be happy to keep a list updated for the early seaters. I make a separate list on paper, keep here in my home office and i keep you updated how many people we got so far...

So far, i got myself, Arlene, and Carolsherman...mark, are you a early seater?? I forgot...

Then Grumbo can post the early seaters list on the 1st page if he wishes....

Sounds like Mark is volunteering to keep the lists for both early and late dining.

This in theory is a great idea, however, at this past cruise’s Castaway Club reception, we needed to use all three rooms in Beat Street to accommodate the 390+ returning cruisers. There is no way that they can accommodate us in Sessions if even 1/2 show up for the DIS meet.

Mark, DH and I may be interested if the cost to rent a car is too much more at the Port because of all the Fools. Hopefully, I'll get some time to check the rental out soon.

This will be a problem with all the different TA s being used. As I understand it you can only link with those who used the same TA. Not sure if there is any way around this. Also, I’m opposed to us all linking ressies together. I have late dining, don’t want to change that. I also like that we are usually in the rotation with fewer children, being childless ourselves. Not that I don’t like children, but I take late dining to avoid too many children. I think too many of them go into meltdown at that time of night. On our second cruise, DH got kicked by a little demon child while the demon’s parent just watched.

I know you can request dining together by using the staterooms #. I went on the cruise before and i made ressies thru DCL and My friend thru a TA and we called the Dining manager and request for us to dine together and all he asked was for our stateroom #.

I have been keeping up here, but posting has been out of the question. Does this make up for it Mark? Believe it or not, I will be working from the ship next summer. Two weeks is just too long to be gone from work.

I'm done now for a while. Back to your Fools talk :jester:

Mark, Serious????  I'll believe it when I see it.

On a different subject, one thing that was great on our Cruisetoberfest cruise was that one person made lanyards for everyone. Now granted there were a lot less people on that cruise than this one, but the nice part about everyone having the same lanyard was if you were walking around on the ship without your Ship of Fools t-shirt on, people would still recognize you as part of the group. Any thoughts?

Tracy

Tracy,

I am also looking for people to sit with at late dining. I just switched our ressies from DCL to All Season, and Sandra (at the TA) asked if there was anyone we would like to sit with. Laughingly, I told her that I was talking to people on this board, and we were all trying to get the same area in the restaurants. SHe said that she could do it as long as we had names, and I think, reservation numbers. She said she would contact Disney and at least get us a table of certain people. I am sure she could try and get everyone in the same area.

BTW, DH and I are also childless, and I like the fact that there are less children in that one. Now, now, all you parents, don't flame me!

Add izzinmac and gassmandy for a total of 5 (including one 2 year old). Early seating also.

Tracy,

It doesn't matter who the TA is to link ressies. We've done it on the past two cruises with the same people at our table and all of us used different TAs. When I rebooked onboard for Oct. 2006, I was asked if I wanted to link ours with anyone. I gave the names of the people, and that was it. Other times, we just used the reservation number to link. It can be done either through a TA or DCL.

If anyone wants to try and do something for late seating, I would be more than happy (or maybe not!) to keep a list. Uh oh, I just realized I volunteered for something on this thread! Whatever was I thinking!
