Hello All! You don't know me but I sure feel like I know all of you! We were waitlisted on this cruise and received a call in August that they had a room for us! Woo Hoo! This is not only our first Disney cruise, but this is our very first family vacation! My husbands claim to fame: If he's going to do something, he's gonna do it big! This is his and our 3 kid's first cruise. Forget that whole 3,4 or 7 day thing give us 14 days! LOL! Let's just keep our fingers crossed they don't get sea sick. (My husbands biggest fear about this vacation).

Anyway, about a month ago, I decided that I needed to do some research about this vacation and I came across this group. And yes I did start from the very begining and read all the way up to this very last post. (So, I have no life, LOL) And, yes it took me almost a month to read it all. Geez you guys talk a lot. Well needless to say, I can't wait to go on this cruise with all you crazy, goofey, fools!

Can't wait to be on the Magic for a whole two weeks

My sister Bernadette, her husband Dave and their 3 children: Courtney 17, Erin, 15, and Patrick 9.

This will be our 5th time on the "Magic" and the second time for my sister's family...

We are all counting the days until we are together

Since everyone else has chosen their means of transportation to the port, JGE has decided to offer these new members their choice.

Premier car class, luxury and style abounds, Your driver will be Mark

Next, we have standard class, Pure speed but cramped, your driver will be Jazzman

Next we have ecomomy class, efficient and environmentally friendly. We asked Grumbo if he'd be a driver too and he responded, "When pigs fly", so that said, Grumbo will be your driver.

Finally for those looking for a more drive-it-yourself type of vehicle, we have basic transportation. Due to high demand, we will need written confirmations from those already requesting this class.

UMterp, my kids will be 7, 4, and 2 1/2 at the time of the cruise. My husband will be 36 and I will have just turned 30, ugh. I remember the days when I thought to be 30 was to be "old". I can't believe that I'm actually wishing my 29th year to fly by. But the sooner the big "3-0" gets here the sooner the cruise will be! I can't wait to be "old"!

For the list keeper...(Jazzman??) we are in a GTY catagory 4 room. Any other info needed?

Yes Renee, that was my mom you saw at Pineapple Beach, our Hailey was having a rough nap day, so I didn't come by, but we did run into you in the elevator!

Loved the various rides available. I really like the pigs fly vehicle. Not sure which one we would like to reserve. Will talk to the lurker and see which one he would prefer...

Hi Renee...yes, I was on the 10/2 "Cruisetoberfest" with you and I met you on the beach at the Pineapple Beach Resort. We were on the opposite end of the beach from where you were. From what I have been reading on another thread, it looks like we were sitting on the more, shall I say, covered up part of the beach??!!! When I walked the beach, I did not take note of anyone on the beach, just the beauty of the island itself. Thanks again for arranging such a fantastic day.

Estelle, I don't really enjoy wine that much, but I did enjoy that Lemoncello martini from Palo's....ummmmm

Hi Jan,

We live in So. CA too, close to the L.B. airport.

We found and purchased airline tickets from MCO (Orlando) to LAX for just $126.51 each (146.50 each with taxes), one way, direct flight - no layovers. Leaves MCO at 2:00 p.m. arrives at LAX at 3:52 p.m. - American Airlines. PM me if you'd like more info. We took it on our cruise last June, and it was great. Also, no worries of American Airlines going bankrupt at the moment. We already chose our seats too.

Sure wish JetBlue had a direct flight from the L.B. airport to MCO.

We are returning to CA on Sunday Sept. 4th. FYI!

ehtpnt - Zinfandel happens to be one of my favorites! I'll be looking for that complimentary glass! As for martinis, I've never had one. So I guess I'm going to have to do a lot of sampling on the cruise and get back to you on that one. Or better yet, maybe I otta start sampling now so I'll know exactly what I want when I get there. I know that apple martini mentioned a while back sure sounds yummy! That'll probably be the first one I try.


Mom2Belle&PeterPan - That's a pretty sweet deal you got on airfare! And thank you for the info offer, but we're going to be taking the scenic route on Amtrak home. My husband doesn't care to fly. He'll fly if he has to, but if he can avoid it, he will. I'm really trying not to complain too much about it, after all the kids will love a new experience like that, and it does extend our vacation time a few extra days. We'll be staying at the World for about a week after the cruise too. It'll be our first time there as well. Does anyone know how far in advance you can book Amtrak? Or any tips whatsoever about Amtrak? Thanks!
