We haven't cancelled out yet, we are still talking and thinking the situation over. Luckily we have until 60 days before the cruise to make a final decision. Just keep positive thoughts headed our way!!!

Glad to hear that you haven't cancelled yet and hopefully you won't have to.

Rae: I echo everyone's sentiments -- it must have been a very hard to make that decision and hope to someday meet you in the future. Chin up -- and wish you many more trips of wonder!

Andy: Hope it all works out for you and you can still join us. Again, keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending many good wishes.

Thank you to all for all the kind words, prayers and PD!! My grandma's still hanging on......has had a rough 40 years w/ my grandfather having had numerous affairs on her and then a nasty divorce 40 yrs. ago. Hence--according to one of the hospice nurses--could be the reason she's still here--fighting till the end! She definitely has one foot in this world and one in the next!! She has elected to have no intervention--medicine, feeding tubes, etc. And all she asked for yesterday in her approx. 3 minutes of "awareness" was 6 ice chips. I love her so much and hate to see it prolonged--for her and for my mom.
Anyway--y'all are great..........can't wait to meet everyone.
Sorry to hear about everyone else's trials and misfortunes. When it rains, it pours!
Was hoping to meet Rae and hopefully will still get to meet Andy and Hazel.
Should be closing on the selling of our house here in 2 weeks. Brevard County's home prices have skyrocketed!! Built this house 4 years ago and are able to sell it for DOUBLE what we paid! CRAZY!!
Can't wait to move to Harmony--they are comparing it to Celebration--with an environmental flare to it. We can't wait.
God bless everyone and hope all have a nice day.

Your grandmother sounds like the great aunt we just lost this weekend. She was feisty -- 94 and still cranking out thoughts and prayers and orders! She was a delight and we shall miss her.

Again, many thoughts and prayers are with you. Just take comfort in knowing that so many friends have you nestled in their thoughts!

AMANDA: Wishing your grandmom peace:angel:.

JENKATT: Had to go back five pages to find the quote you wrote that I loved "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page." St. Augustine. I love this quote & feel the same way.

Planning on plenty of rest & relaxation in Virginia Beach. Sun:sunny: too! Hope you all have a good weekend. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Jeanne... I love that quote too. There's some great quote pages out there with a bunch of quotes on travel

Hey Everyone--
Quick question. I know some cat. 9's hold 3 people and some hold 4--how do I find out if my room (2580) holds 3 or 4??

All the best to you gassmandy and izzinmac. I hope your grandmother's/mom's suffering doesn't persist and she has peace. Having family with her will help.

I have done a about 20 of the 500 plus photos and stuck them up on the net. Instead of boring you who don't want to look I have put a link below.
I did put this one from Yosemite. I hadn't seen pine cones this size in my life. Meagan was awestruck with the size of them :)

We are also thinking of cancelling due to husband's job loss but my travel agent told me to sleep on it since the cruise is sold out and if I change my mind, we are out of luck. I have until June, 2005 to decide if we can afford this or not.

To top off an already bad week, we are cruising in October and using a new charter airline out of our local airport (Vacation Express--don't ever use them)--the price was right so I booked the flights back in February---got off the phone with them an hour ago and they have cancelled both the flight down on Friday and the flight home on Monday so now I am scrambling to find flights from our local airport (AVP) to Orlando without really draining our pockets. For all of my trouble (that is an understatement!), Vacation Express is willing to refund me all of my money---isn't that gracious of them. Don't these companies know the meaning of Customer Service anymore???

Anyway, we are off to Colorado and Utah for two weeks (this trip and cruise were already paid for prior to husband losing his job) starting Sunday and boy do I need this vacation!!!

Sarah'sMOM.....

Hope your plans work out for next year. I feel like all of a sudden all the DisMembers are having to cancel.

In the meantime, enjoy your well deserved vacation next week. Hope you have a wonderful time. :sunny: :wave2:

I know we are all sad some of us are cancelling, or considering cancelling but it is really to be expected. We booked so far in advance, and lives change over such a long period of time.
I sure hope we will be onboard, BUT who knows what unexpected things can occur in our lives.

Disney cruises are great but many other things such as family, personal finances, health and world events outweigh this cruise so lets hope for the best, and if anyone wants to give me their Category 1 room if they're going to cancel I'll take it if you'll pay whats owing on it ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grahame--

So glad you're back home! Things slowed down a bit without you and Jazz here to liven it up! (Although, Mark has been having some fun over on ThreeCircles.net with his pictures... :) )

I looked through the pictures you posted thus far and am amazed at the beauty that you captured. Not only in Yosemite but in all your pictures! I think you should be nominated as the Official "Ship of Fools" Photographer for our group! ::yes:: And, if you don't mind me asking, what type of camera do you use?

(Oh, BTW, it's Jason (ThreeCircles). :teeth: )

I won't even ask why the new "name" ;)
Thanks Jason...
I am uploading a few more now that I have found an "easier" way of doing it.

I have a Canon S40 digital. It is 4.0 megapixels and I shot most of the photos at the highest resolution, resulting in the need to purchase yet another Compact Flash card in Vegas :)

My wife brought her Nikon F3 HP as with our work have both worked extensively with 35 mm equipment. I have to admit the few times I used her camera it brought back pangs of being able to meter and use the the aperture as well as shutter speeds as well as other stuff that is just not available on my digital. That said though the Canon has been a great camera for us and I love the fact I can look at stuff and dump it immediately when I see that I've messed up. I've found metering though isn't always precise and I do alot of metering off of clouds or grey items just to get truer colours. The rock at Yosemite was a perfect example of how it looked washed out when you metered off of it. (Alot like snow) Same with sunsets. Some looked great when metering off of the clouds while others looked like crap when metering off the canyon or sun. I loved it and ended up with some great shots, and many that looked good on the tiny screen til I looked at them at home and realized my hands aren't as steady as I thought :)

Anyway for such a small camera it does a great job and I enjoy using it.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Neat pictures. Thanks for sharing.

We leave tomorrow morning for a week in New Hampshire and Maine. I can hardly wait to see how many pages of posts I will have to catch up on.
You all take care of yourselves and I'll talk to you all in about a week.
Estelle
