August 2 2025, DVC member Cruise on the Dream!

Final event details are not sent out until a few days prior. Typically, you can enter 2 hours prior to park closing and the actual event will start either 30 minutes or 1 hour after park closing.
I would rather forfeit the tix if we aren't able to actually enjoy the event for at least a couple hours, but my husband is going to be a hard no on flying home in wet swimwear.

It looks like the water parks close at 6pm all July and as far out as the calendar goes... is it likely that they would close much later than that or safe to assume the park will probably close by 6pm?

IIRC, they pretty much always close by 6 pm on normal operating days.

We generally eat breakfast in Royal Palace, and would be happy to eat with anyone who want to meet fellow cruisers. I don’t remember if there are steps leading to the atrium entrance on the Dream. If there are, I have to use the side entrance.

If there is interest, just mention it here. Day 2 is at Sea…, we’ll be there at 8. Anyone interested?

I’m open to a meet-up too, but there’s only the slimmest of chances that I will be awake and presentable for a sit down breakfast on Day 2. It generally takes 3/4 days, or when we dock at the private island, whatever happens first.

Incredible, so exciting, thank you for sharing!!

We are second dining so I assume we want to be camping out by the theater by at least 5:45?

Depends on whether you want to try for front of theater seats or not. We were on last year's DVC member cruise and the finale concert was my top highlight--also had Jodi Benson, Susan Egan, and the Broadway stars, plus special guest Paige O'Hara. We were crying!

We wanted to be toward the front so we headed to the theater area about 5:30 and hung out browsing at the main store until we started seeing people lining up. You can see the theater doors from the stores so that helps. But AFAIK, everyone who wanted to go to the first show fit so if the location doesn't matter then you don't have to line up so early.

Our first cruise was on the Wish (in the first month of sailings) which I now recognize might have been peak theater difficult— but we had a couple nights where we showed up 10+ min early and still ended up split up in different areas with child on lap and/or no seats at all…so I’m overly cautious for the (very few) shows I’m determined to see. It also doesn’t help that we have two kids about 4’ tall, so they don’t see very well if we get unlucky with a tall person in front of them. Still, VERY happy to hear that we can probably sit 4 together if we only arrive 5-10m early if we aren’t too particular on seats.

With your kids heights, I think I would definitely show up on the earlier side to be safe! Hope y'all will love the concert!

The last concert with the Broadway stars is always very popular.
But there is still availability so it is not sold out, which will help with finding seating.
