August 2, 2011 disney dream

Deb - thanks for the reminder. I've been meaning to post these and I kept forgetting.

Aug 1st - Pre-cruise at WDW

Belle Vue Lounge at BWV after 9:30pm. Right now we are planning on doing Illuminations then walking back to BWV and have a drink or two in the lounge before heading to the room.

Aug 2nd - Embarkation Day

3pm meet - Bon Voyage Lounge - Deck 3 Mid-ship. I changed the time to 3pm but I will probably be there around 2:30pm.

Sail Away - unless it is raining we will be on deck 12(terminal side) for the sail away party if anyone wants to join us there.

For picking up nametags - I will be at the Sailway on Dec 12 Terminal side also. You will know me by my white hair! :goodvibes

I may show up at the 3pm meet, but no guarantees on that. Really depends on how much ship exporing Nicole and I decide to do first. :cloud9:

I finally got my cruise docs this weekend. I went thru travel agent, so I got them later. They get sent to North Carolina, then to Seattle, then here to Maine. :rotfl: :confused3

We leave for Florida on the 30th. Plan on being in the MK on Sunday am and pm and then at the AK Mon am and probably studios Mon pm. In the heat of the day - the BoardWalk pool, maybe some DTD shopping. If anyone has a similar schedule, let me know and maybe we can meet up.

After the cruise, I've changed us to AKL Kidani Village. We'll be there until the 10th.

Bought some FE stuff and will be working on it this weekend!

I'll be flying to Florida!

3 days at West Palm Beach - 3 days at Beach Club - then the ship. After that one secret-surprise day at Bay Lake Towers.

Everyone is sooo busy!

Doug,
We'll have to exchange my work email to hook Mackenzie and your daughter up. I'll be bringing blackberry so my work email will be my primary communication....

LeiLani,
I'm sooo jealous. I would love to see pictures.

It's getting so close!!

One week from tomorrow Alyssa and I will get on the road very early in the morning for my cousin's wedding in Pigeon Forge, TN. Then we hit WDW for 2 days before the cruise and after the cruise we are back at WDW for 6 days.:cheer2:

Yep tan is coming along nicely:cool1: Doing anti 12 hour flu dance as it has gone through 2 kids and several on the beach.:scared1: Have to keep it away from ds11 as when he gets it it is bad! Last day on beach. Dw has to work and I have to cut my sports med budget in half so will be in office end of the week coachycp so am working a bit. Ok time to ride some waves.

Scott - Sorry to hear about the flu. Hopefully your DS11 doesn't get it.

Stress! My housesitter/dogsitter just bailed on me for the last half of the trip.

Jeanne - that's a bummer about your sitter. Sending a little pixie dust your way and hopefully it will all work out.pixiedust:

Nancy - thanks for doing the nametags! We will see you on Deck 12 if not before.

We will be at the BWV on the 31st and 1st. If we feel like it after the drive we will probably do some MK that evening. I think we are going to do the studios on Monday AM. If we are around the pool on Monday afternoon I'll keep an eye out for you. We usually go to the quiet pool when we are at the BWV but we like the bar by the Luna Park pool too.:goodvibes

:cheer2::dance3::banana::cool1: we are in florida and within 2 days of shopping we already need to buy a suitcase:rolleyes1. The good news is that the chocolate made its way too but i have to fight like hell to keep my two beloved ones from eating it. Still doing goodpirate: tomorrow we will be on our way to captiva and there we just enjoy the beach, shelling, sunsets and the family time together. No more shopping.

I send a :grouphug: to all you busy ones and keep up you soon will be down here too.

Just got off the phone with Alyssa and she is having a great time. She said they get to do more this year since she is in the high school group so she is excited about that. They slept in the dolphin enclosure last night and they got to help out with the penguins today. They usually get to talk to at least one of the trainers during the week and last year her group got to talk to one of the sea lion trainers. Today, to Alyssa's utter delight, they got to talk to one of the killer whale trainers. She was in seventh heaven!:thumbsup2

Glad she is having so much fun. What a wonderful experience. :)

Checked the 10 day weather, looks like typical July Florida weather -at least it's not going to be 100+... they are calling for 115 degrees with heat index this Friday here in Maryland.....yuck, yuck and yuck....

We spent the late afternoon/evening here in Maryland at a mini high school soccer tournament. Hot, hot, hot. I love watching soccer though.

My best friend and her children are visiting from Florida and we were to take the kids to Hershey Park tomorrow. Finally had to tell the kids that it wasn't a good idea due to the heat. This place is no WDW. There is little to no shade. You wait for rides in the heat. And there is only about one place that has AC to get out of the heat. We might try on Monday? I am happy to be able to spend the next day or two in my AC instead. The heat index is going to be tough.

Thank you for doing this for everyone. :grouphug:

Andrea - glad you made it to FL and YEA!!! for shopping! Enjoy Captiva and relax on the beach.

I agree, stay cool. Our heat wave is headed east. We get a little bit of a break today but it is still going to be HOT, HOT, HOT! It really has felt like Florida around here lately. If I was in FL though at least I would be at WDW and it wouldn't be so bad.:thumbsup2

We love Hershey Park and try to get there at least once a year. You are right it's no WDW but is fun and it always great to end the day at Chocolate World, a sit down ride, dark and in the AC -plus a free treat at the end! They do act like WDW where after the ride you end up in their store!

Everyone stay cool, Scooter safe travels back from the beach...

see everyone soon

Glad you made it here safely. It sounds like you had a good shopping trip!

Stay cool everyone in the heat wave. It is kind of nice weather here, we are west of the major heat and just having normal temps with highs around 90 degrees and no humidity. We went on a hike while we were camping and found patches of snow.

SNOW! WOW. I have pictures of snow but it is not the same. I know summer doesn't last forever. At least my AC is working.

Now back to my kitchen to finish making Boeuf Bourguignon a La Julia Child. Although it is a heavy dish for this time of year (again thank you AC gods), I am making it for my best friend who is visiting from FL and wanted to give it a try. The house smells great!

That sounds sooooo good! I threw some boring chicken in the crockpot this morning so I could work on my FE gifts. I finished my actual FE too! I'll post a picture but I'm trying to figure out how to do it from Facebook because I hate having to go through photobucket!

I can only make it post a link to a FB photo, not the actual photo. :headache::headache::headache:

So I ran it through photobucket. Sigh.

Its BEAUTIFUL, Jeanne!

Now, I'm going to have to commission you to do stuff for me for our upcoming trips. You should open an eBay store!

Looks like I'm late to this thread, but my wife and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversary on this cruise. Room 5542 - I think! 1st Cruise and we are VERY excited - kids are staying home with Grandma and Grandpa.

Is there a summary of the activities you are doing anywhere?
