I agree Pat and Amy do wonderful disigns. That is where I got some of mine.

I do agree I think people are concerned with how many adults want to participate in the gifting. do you think we need to set a deadline to sending a PM? Some people may not have checked in recently.

Any opinions on the leis or ribbons? Thanks for the link to the lime green leis the color is better than the ones I found.

i definetly think we should get a deadline for the pm about the F.E. gifts because we need to buy the stuff and get the shopping over with and focus on the paking and thing we need just my opinion

Agreed! I can tell you now that we won't be bringing our gifts to the meet. Our girls are excited about secretly going out and finding the fish extenders and placing the gifts in them. They would also rather have the "suprise" of coming back to the room and finding a gift in theirs. We will be buying knick knacks from the $ store or Five Below. Nine families with 17 kids is not a burden, nor if we even do a family gift. I think we should just get a list together of who wants to particpate and their room number. It is an optional event and people should not stress over it. If you want to be involved...Great!...if you don't...that is fine too. We are all going to get together and have a Blast.....so no need to worry...Remember the Magic!!!!

My family would rather do the F.E. I think my DS8 would find it fun to run around dropping presents off. Are we going to set a date to finalize the details? I have some shopping to do ??

As far as the leis and ribbons, I was thinking about those rubber bracelets (like 'Live strong" type), but couldn't find anywhere that had just lime green. Oriental Trading has some, but they're just a variety of colors. I thought a bracelet would be easier to wear than a lei (which can be itchy and bulky). If we do the ribbon, which sounds like it's cheaper, I agree that we could just pin it on our shirts if we don't have a lanyard.

Thanks to everyone on the suggestions for the door signs. I emailed Amy to design something for me. I think I can figure out how to print it on the magnetic paper.

That's why I think that everyone who is interested should send the PM and we just work from that list. We want to give gifts to everyone so I think that everyone should just send in their name & Cabin # and we make the magic happen.

Updating the list. I agree with the 8/1 cutoff date. I need to do some shopping. Did we ever decide just kids or kids/adults?

I think ribbons or the wristband would be a good idea. I can't see myself wearing the lei anytime other than Dismeet.

I spoke to Cathy (Exemp5) and she thinks wristbands are a great idea. She's okay with 8/1 cutoff date and would prefer gifting just kids.

BTW, everyone on the above list has sent me their room numbers. When the list is complete, I will PM a copy to everyone for gift delivery purposes.

Fluffy bunnys DW here. Been reading a few back posts ..trying to get my head round fish extenders(sounds painful) and gifting in general.Is it too late to sign up for gifting in Fish Extenders? My DDs would love it. We are not bothered about adult gifts...but i think it would add to the magic for the kids. We are already in for the DISmeet. We can't get alien mickey heads...no Homebase in the UK ,and ,funnily enough, visiting DIY stores once we get to Florida is not high on our list of priorities! Would little bits from England /Scotland go down ok? Not entirly sure wth to get..but its just one more job before our holiday...lol
So...bet get extending fish then...rofl

I am still looking for another real pirate costumed person. My DW thinks I'm nuts....I have a real costume...even am bringing my boots from California to wear...and of course my wig....I even have a Parrot! C'mon out there....when else can you do this and get away with it?

You won't be alone. DH thinks I am crazy too but is willing to go along with it. We have pirate sashes, bandanas, and shirts(not t-shirts).
I thought it would be great to get a family photo like this...where else would I get them to do this?

Im also dressing up but not in a costume. im wearing a black tanktop that says I Heart Captain Jack Sparrow, red shorts, black leggings, and pirate mickey ears. my mom thinks im nuts

The price is 1.29 with free shipping and no other hidden costs for personalized BUT you have to order 100. they also have lime green ones in stock that are imprinted with "dare to dream" 20 bands for $15. Much better deal just not personalized. It is a 2-3 week delivery time. So I need to know soon.

Fluffy bunny...you are now on the list. We are in for the wristbands. I just bought our fish extender at the dollar store. It's cute and has Winnie the Pooh on it. They only had one at this store, so I am going with Exempt5 tomorrow to look for more. (yes, Cathy-exempt5-is traveling with me)

I love the wristband idea. I would wear mine all the time on the ship. I perfer that over the ribbon.

Personalized would be cool....great memory....but cheaper is better too....do like the slogan....I will go with the majority...is one person taking care of this??? Or how are we handling.
