August 18, 2010...Can't wait for the MAGICal Mediterranean!!!

I thought I was the only person who planned outfits! For the last few weeks everytime I put something on that looked ok together I have been writing it down! Got something for each day. My friend cane up with a good idea - wearing the same top on the following day that you wore for a few hous the evening before, as long as it isn't a sparkly number, that would look odd!

magnetic paper arrived today and going to get last of FE goodies now. Just need to decide what we are doing at each port- tried to get OH to think about it and he was chilled, just said we will get a cab and decide when we get there! Men!

I am also a planner. I have my outfits planned out, but currently re-thinking some of them due to my husband thinking I am taking too many dresses. I don't wear shorts and thougth that dresses would be simple but who knows I could change my mind a dozen more times before it is all said and done.

As far as magnetic paper goes I was able to find it at amazon.com.

So I was on board with all that...I was going to take advil PM....then I started second guessing it. That stuff makes me tired for like 10 hours and by the time I take it, I'll be drowsy when we're landing and going through customs. Also, the fearful flyer in me was concocting emergency scenarios in my head...what happens if something happens on the plane and I have to be alert and I took the pill.....I'm a nut ....I know it

Seriously...no you are not a nut. I had the same thoughts running in my head. That's why I figured I would wake up at 3am the moring of our flight. Our flight is 9 something so between travelling the airport, customs, taking a jog in the morning and a galss of red wine....I am going to hopefully pass out!


Susan- Happy packing! I am so type A that I like to write everything out. It always helps me stay calm lol! I too overpack toiletries. I just learned to except that


Shawn I can help...no worries. Mindy's only took me a few minutes! I mean if it is only a few to arrange no problem...now if it were like twenty I may need to pass lol!

I mostly have trousers and tops, or capris during the day, my days of short are long gone! I have got an eveningy type dress. I usually wear a black one, but have bought a mauve (sounds better than it is), one with a bit of gold on it. OH was a bit surprised, it is so off from what I would normally wear, but I have decided to 'get with it' a bit more and it is very up to date. We will see if I actually wear it!!

Also got a couple of day dresses, always useful if go to Palos, we haven't got anything planned, it was all booked up, but are going to try and get something for us both one evening, last time we went with our cruise meet and although it was fun, we should have done it as a special evening for us too. I am even contemplating the Exotic Rasul, OH very keen!!!

Got my FE's, for the adults, OH thought part of it a bit boring, I thought useful!!! However, I am a bit stumped for 16 year old boy! Any ideas? My sister, being the wit that she is said - ....."a 16 year old girl!" - you can see the sort of family I have to cope with. very sad. By the way, don't expect anything handmade!

Magnetic paper, is hard to find over here, Staples don't stock it, neither do any of the large stationary suppliers. The only way I can get it is on ebay, funnily enough a guy who lives about 1 mile from my mum, down the South of England. 10 sheets for £11 ($18).

Well done with the running, you are doing amazing, next week is my biggie, still got one more run of two lots of 12 mins. When I start flagging, I still think of you and how you can do it after everything that has happened I think that is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes

I am going to work on a spreadsheet for the FE list tonight, I don't think anyone else is joining at this stage. If you would like a copy, PM me with your email and I will send it through. By the way, I got a dry white board in the £1 shop today, which is magnetic, so will stick that on our door. If anyone has any room changes and can''t get to the meet, leave a message there. May have to get another room, just to put the magnets on!

I thought we had decided that due to the lack of sea days and the port intensiveness of the itinerary that we weren't going with assigned days, just drop off at your leisure. I'm doing mine the first sea day.... With only 13 people we COULD do an assigned times. i.e. 2 people per sea day and then one to 2 per other days. The nature of my gift, I really request to go on that first sea day if we go with assigned times. That way, with only one delivery per port day, it could be whenever the people get around to it. Thoughts??????

So my DISboard cruise mates...Just called the concierge and got our list of most probable movies on our cruise (they always caveat that the movies are in a rotation and may or may not be show for various reasons). They are:

3D Movies -

Toy Story 3
Alice in Wonderland

Regular movies:
Toy Story 1 &2
Old Dogs
The Princess and the Frog
When in Rome
The Last Song

So my DISboard cruise mates...Just called the concierge and got our list of most probable movies on our cruise (they always caveat that the movies are in a rotation and may or may not be show for various reasons). They are:

3D Movies -

Step Up - Premieres on the 8/8
Toy Story 3
Alice in Wonderland

Regular movies:
Toy Story 1 &2
Old Dogs
The Princess and the Frog
When in Rome
The Last Song
Oceans
The Sourcers Apprentice

Hey, I can get it and still don't use it!!!! If my clothes aren't wash/wear I don't buy them!!! If they need any kind of ironing, I send them out!!!! I'm sure I'll have a large pressing bill once onboard!!!!

I have a bunch of the wrinkle release spray. I have most of my bottle left over from last time and DH bought 2 more bottles. Issue for me is whether it will make luggage too heavy. If I can fit it, I'll bring it all and share.

DONE!!! I read the book The Last Song, so I don't think the movie could hold a candle to that one.... I agree, after reading the book the subject matter really isn't for a 9 yo.

I guess these are the big popular movies for 10 year old girls!!! (and their moms ) You're right about the Downey Wrinkle Release, we can't find it in Ottawa, I guess we'll just have to be the wrinkled Canadians! This cruise is going to be so much fun!

Step Up is a 3D movie about dancers and their cool moves. It is interesting in 3D, DD is into dance these days, (tap) so this is a great movie for us!

Thanks for the movie list. I have not seen Toy Story 3 yet so I hope I am able to. DD has seen it twice already(b-day parties)...but I'm sure she will be excited to see Step up. I was going to actually do Pay per view to see When in Rome to see the city in the movie ...maybe I will just wait for the ship.
