hahaha, I just know that on my floor all the inside cabins are odd and all the outside cabins are even. Views, balconies, etc are outside cabins, I thought! That is all I meant. Just a joke. Wishing I had a verandah.

I think you are right -- if the **last** number in your cabin is odd it's no window and if even it's on the other side of the hall with a window.

You will have a great time either way. I'm trying to think positive since we don't have a verandah or porthole either

Thanks Kim. I saw the 11 night and 14 night navigators, but thought it was weird I hadn't seen the 10 night. I'll see if I can pick out the right information from the 11 night since I haven't really looked at them in depth.

I think the dreams unlimited website has all the navigators from the first cruise. Formal night is night 2 of the cruise and semi formal night is the last sea day, I believe.

So in 38 days, I get to meet Susan and Stacey on my flight to Barcelona. In 40 days I get to see Lori climbing over the balcony to get to my room, and then I see Kim at dinner. In 41 days I get to see the rest of our motley crew at the Dismeet....I can not wait.

Today we booked our car to and from the airport at home. Now I have to do inventory on clothing, we have our packing cubes and new cases, I need to find my old magnets and print out my new ones and DH needs to get measured for a tux. I sure hope I'm not forgetting anything.

I booked my cruise on January 27, 2009...and I truly cannot believe it is right around the corner. Looking forward to meeting you Mindy! And of course the rest of you. I booked our car on Thursday. Pretty much the last thing I had to do other than check out kennels for the dog and cat. I may have a nursing student live in my house while I'm away. She comes highly recommended. That way I don't have to upset the animals too much. I haven't done magnets yet either, but I did order an FE from Ebay. The lady I ordered it from has a pretty big number of choices of material and Mickey heads.

My son is driving me crazy regarding his clothes. I've already bought his suit for formal night (he refused a tux this year...and he looked so handsome in one the last trip). But his shorts and "dress up" clothes have been a challenge. I know what size he is so I said "I'm ordering these clothes for you and if you don't want them, speak now!" That finally worked.

Thanks for your guidance regarding the Navigator. I should be all set now.

So finally, I have a question...I'm totally lost at what you're talking about regarding the journal. I must have been "off" the disboards while you were discussing that one. Can someone enlighten me. Do I need to do something?

I was checking out packing cubes this week and wondering what is the deal with them? Many people rave about them, do they just keep you more organized? I don't see how they could help you pack more?

Also got a fantastic deal on a polycarbonite (hard sided) large suitcase, it's a beauty. I wonder how scratched up it will get, it's so shiny now. The store said any scratches could be buffed out - I'm thinking yeah right

It's not that you can pack more. They keep everything organized. Especially undies and socks. They also help stop things from getting wrinkled. My favourite are the ones for dress shirts. You fold them on a board and place them in a packing sleeve. Shirts stay unwrinkled. We used them when we were in Asia. They truly are amazing!!!

I propose some rules to the FE...

1. We close the option for joining by August 1 to give everyone enough time to get their stuff together before they leave.

2. IF you get an upgrade, leave everyone in the FE a post-it on their cabin door with your DIS name, old cabin and new cabin number

3. After the list has been closed by Kate, Mary then uploads the final list to the website for everyone to see and print.

That sounds great! As much as I hate to cut people off, I would hate it more not to have enough "goodies" for everyone! My FE gifts have started coming in. I received my first order yesterday. I'm the sort of person that likes to make sure everyone has the exact same thing, but with how the people fluxuate on FEs, I decided as long as I have gifts for everyone, it really doesn't matter if they're exact. Amazing how much pressure I was relieved when I decided that.

We read about them here. I've never used them before but DH wanted to try them. I"ll let you know how well they work.
