It's probably the same distance, your's may be a tinsy bit farther.....it takes me about 15 minutes to get to 518 and then probably another 10 to 15 to get there. Is it by the japanese place? We used to go to my gym at the end of 518 when the kids were little. I didn't know there was a sonic over there. We actually went to the one on 22 because my DH got off the train in Bridgewater and I picked him up there, so we were 1/2 way there to begin with.

I live a mile down triangle road (that's the cross road that OMR is on) and then 1/4 of a mile from there.

Yep, it's across the street from Shogun 27. Do you kids go to Triangle School? I know the principals sister!! I met her on our RCCL cruise in 11/07.

No my kids actually go to Hillsborough Elementary. Our neighborhood used to be zoned for Triangle school but we redistricted before the kids were born.

We are from Raleigh, NC. First we have an 11 hour direct flight from Stuttgart to Atlanta then about 90 min flight from Atlanta to NC.

Home sweet home where it is about 101 degrees today!

I have family and friends in NC; Raleigh and New Bern. Went last year, but vacation's a bit used up this year!

I am so good sometimes I slay myself. So today I got DD to buy another nice outfit....a pair of capri stretch pants with a pretty tunic style top with rhinestones...something to wear perhaps on semi formal night. I almost started laughing when she picked it out because the design on it looked like Mickey heads. I also got her to buy a fancy dress a few weeks ago. She asked why she needed these clothes she'd never wear and I just told her that if we get invited to a party we wouldn't have to go crazy looking for something for her to wear and she bought it...not even another question. The best part was the outfit was originally $56 on sales for $22.40 and then I got an additional 15% off, so I got it for $19...can't beat Kohl's...I also bought her 4 new bathing suits so I don't have to do laundry every day after camp.......

How did you like New Bern - did you go boating while you were there?
I think it is really pretty there. Did you go to the coast?

I have been to Portland and Seattle in your area and it is sooooo lovely there,
lots of great hiking and the weather in Summer is so nice

Yes they are. My daughter has some summer tank tops that she got around her birthday in May. I got he same one on clearance for $4.80 less 15%. So for $4 can you go wrong. All the bathing suits are on sale...I got my son 3 bathing suits at $8.50 each after the discount.....

Had my last Yoga class today and now off for the Summer. I also biked and walked today and it is very HOT here today. We have a large group of Americans meeting at the local biergarten for the USA-Ghana game tomorrow night. I think we Americans will meet behind closed doors for the England Germany game on Sunday

We travel a lot, and the distance from here to there isn't too bad....

Did a little boating. My grandfather has a few boats, so we've gone out on them a few times, but DD's too young to appreciate sitting and doing nothing. We have gone down to the coast! Great beaches there!!

We live on an island, so it seems there are no bad views. We've been here 2 years now, and I'm mostly adjusted, but I do miss warmer weather. Until 2 days ago, we'd gone a solid 9 months not being above 75 degrees. Being from CA originally and then in Colorado for 8 years, it's a hard adjustment. However, we went to a ball game yesterday and it was one of those picture-perfect days that we live for!

Hot here again today. They are now talking about a hosepipe ban, because of the lack of water. Means no pools in the garden or watering the plants!

Did another one yesterday. One more before moving on to week 2 and along with eating less I already feel better for it. Can I ask. What is Sonic? I presume a fast food place?

Busy weekend party tonight barbecue tomorrow ( they are putting a screen up in the garden for the football!

Off now to buy dd some sandals. She wants Lelli Kellys, can I hold out from buying. The most expensive shoes for kids In the uk £45 a pair!!!

Settin sail. I have got the details of the bus company who took us to the ship but I am going to wait to see if our friends are definately going before requesting a price as they may be in the same hotel. Makes sense for us to pool resources.

good to her kate the workout is working for you!!! I just re did day 3 in week one, as my third one was REALLY hard and didn't feel comfortable going to week 2 yet, so Monday it is for me!!! Hopefully, I survive!!! 45 pounds, which is almost $68 is NOTHING for children's shoes here in the US. I've paid close to $100 US a few times!!!!!! I guess my kids like expensive shoes.... Now the DD12 wears the same size as me, it's really getting expensive......

I know we haven't, our guide has advised against it to save $$$$. He feels that based on the timing of our tour, when we arrive all lines should be done for the day. I also believe he's getting our coliseum tickets.

what time are you going to be there? If we do this completely on our own, we were hoping to do the ancient stuff in the morning, grab a quick pizza/panini lunch and then head over to the vatican around 2. Would the lines be done then?

I gave in to Lelli kelly's before we went in May - have lost some sequins already but they still look ok. The best positive is my little girl loves them so much, there's no arguing about putting on shoes which is normally a battle. I agree though, they cost far more than they are worth.
