My family would also like to join. We are Platinums with well over 20 sailings. Our stateroom is 2525 and it is myself, Mary and my sister, Helen and her 16 year old, Mary. Friends of ours also want in it is their 3rd sailing and it is a couple, Andy and Shirley and their 3 children: Ashley;girl 10 ,RJ ;boy 8 Sydney; girl 5 stateroom?

Between having the early opportunity to book port adventures, even grabbing a castaway cabana, this is really getting us excited. Thanks again for taking the lead on this.

I am going to update the kids ages right away.

This will be our second cruise as Platinum Castaway Club members and I was really happy for it, as we were able to snag a Cabana at Serenity Bay as well. It was shocking to see how fast they went though.
Excitement is building - we have two more trips (one to Disneyland Paris and one to Italy) before this one and they help in breaking down the countdown.

Just booked last week for this cruise. Looking forward to seeing the new ship. Traveling with a 15 year old and 10 year old. I'm hoping there will be lots of kids in this age range. I will need to read all the posts to catch up to all of you!

What is a fish extender list?

There are post on the board that explain it in more detail but essentially there is a hook outside your door that people hang a "Fish extender" from (see Board) and then others leave gifts for you throughout the cruise in it. You sign up if you want to participate and it is all done through the disboard

Wish i could take credit for this thread but it was started a long time before my family decided to join the group. The real person managing all of this now is Dizneet I just started the mixology session. Unfortunately this group is somewhat fragmented as there is a facebook site as well. It is great to see so many people participating in the FE but I may need a separate suitcase for all of this.

I've been on a few cruises where the FE list was split when it got so huge. That may be something we might consider if ours grows too big.

I have also been on cruises where the FE list has been split to make it more manageable. This is the largest group Ive ever been involved with and we havent approached the cut off date yet. We are driving so it will not be problematic to exchange with all, but those flying may encounter a luggage weight problem. Just my 2 cents, but I am excited to be a part of the group no matter how large it gets.

I have enough supplies for several more people so it doesn't matter to me. We are flying jet blue and can take one piece of luggage for free each so that is 4 bags for my family. I tend to pack light and to me the FE gifts that I give provide extra room for souvenirs.

I see that information (names/# of people/stateroom) for UltimateDisFan is not yet included. Also, does a '1' for Woobie's daughter need to be added to the # people column and should the number in that column for Linkandclover be changed from '4' to '5'? Thanks for helping us newbies to FE! Getting excited!

I can tell you that for us (Linkandclover) the number should be 5. I have not personally included UltimateDisFan due to the lack of information.

I wonder if it would be useful to check on the count as we are getting closer to our sail date. I only suggest this as I forgot we had planned to do the Mediterranean cruise in July, joined the FE group and totally forgot about it until I received a PM to check on it.

Thanks to all who have posted great questions. As a newbie, I'm pleased to be part of the group either way- split or together. As a mother, I thought I would automatically get the creative/craftie gene with my first born. It either doesn't happen that way or it skipped me. So.. I will be ordering something for my FE. Will we know about a split by the cut off date?

I was looking for input about cabin choice. As a family of 5, we are a bit limited. When we booked, only 4A was available. I was assigned a cabin on the 10th floor. I thought it was wonderful at first but upon reading some cabin reviews, I'm not sure now. I see many experienced folks are on a different floor. As a mother of 3 with a husband who travels often, I tend to be a light sleeper. My travel agent said there was nothing available on floor 9. Does anyone know if it likely that cabins will open up at the 90 day mark? I assume that's when everyone needs to pay in full. Either way, I'll be on a Disney cruise will my family so it will great whatever happens with the cabin.

I would contact your TA as there are rooms available in 4B and 4C which are lower floor numbers. I cannot comment on noise as we have only sailed with cabins on the second floor on the fantasy

What is a fish extender list?

Hi, a Fish Extender list is where you join a list of fellow cruisers who name cabin they are in, occupants & kids female /male & ages.

You then make or buy a 'gift' for your fellow FE participants either per cabin or per person and then place 'gift' into their FE's during cruise.

You hang your Fish extender (personalised pockets for each occupant) from your cabin's "fish" and wait for fellow FE's to pop their gifts to you.

This is our first time of doing Fish Extenders but we have Googled them and have had an awesome timing making our FE pockets and preparing our goodies for our fellow passengers.
