August 17, 2013 - A Fantasy Cruise to Paradise

For first time Disney cruisers, when will we find out our dining rotation? Trying to figure out when/if we'll be able to make Palo reservations. Since my MIL made reservations for our group (9 in all) the information will go to her first. If can only do once, would you recommend dinner or brunch?

You should already be able to find out if you have early or late dining but the actual rotation, in terms of what restaurant you go to when, is only available once you enter your stateroom. I am unsure if you can request a specific rotation or not. We have not been to Palo's before but plan on doing dinner this year. We are not really brunch people and the dinner menu looks great.

Hi fellow Fantasy Cruisers.
I would like to participant with your group. This will be my family's 2nd cruise and we are so excited. We would love to be part of FE group. Do you mind sharing with me the rules and the basics on how it works?
Thanks so much.:yay:

I guess there will even be more people joining when we get closer to the sail date. I thought about a cut off date and June 30th sounds good to me. That will give us more than enough time to finish/order gifts. :thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

I agree with the June 30 cutoff too. We are listed as the "Witzke" on the FE list but we are a blended family: Floriza Witzke, Malaya Witzke (dd 10), Bernard Doyle, Ainne Doyle (dd 8). Thanks for organizing!

Welcome to the group :wave2: Dizneet is the leading lady in this group and is preparing the FE list, she will contact you soon, add you to the list & explain all. My family have been on numerous cruises and will be on our Gold cruise this year but we were oblivious to the FE & DIS Forum :confused3
My eldest daughter, Amelia found out about FE's online and found this site and now we are here.:woohoo: From what I can gather you make (or purchase) your FE & hang it on your door. Then throughout your cruise it gets filled with 'wonderful' goodies over the course of your cruise from participating FE guests. We are from Cornwall, UK and are bringing UK sweets in decorated bags for younger guests & Cornish Fudges/Biscuits etc for Adults. Look forward to meeting you.

You will only be able to find out your Dining rotation when you are on board. Your key to the world card will reveal several letters - they are your rotation.
You can request a rotation, but are NOT guaranteed it will be granted.
First time cruisers can make Palo reservations 75 days before sail date, IF you are paid in full. Be aware that Platinum Castaway Club members and Concierge guests can start booking 120 days before saildate, Gold CCM 105 days and Silver CCM 90 days before sail date.
Both, brunch and dinner are very nice.
Brunch is a buffet, with LOADS of cold items, then you order a main course (this is served to you) and head back for desserts.
Dinner is table service and both are strictly 18 years and older and have a charge of $20 per person.
There is also a dress code.
Please note that there is a second adult only restaurant on board - Remy! It is very upscale French and has an upcharge of $75 per person for dinner and $50 for lunch.
Hope that helps - feel free to ask more questions if you need to! :thumbsup2

Remember that there is Remy as well! They offer lunch on sea days! We have done it before and it was really nice! :thumbsup2

It's great to have you on board.

Here are some links to help you catch up with FEs. Please feel free to ask any more questions.
To put you on the online list I would need everyone's first name, the ages of any kids and your stateroom number.

Gold members!! Lucky!

How about booking cabanas at Castaway Cay for all of us on the thread! We could have the DISMeet there! Lol! Kidding!
But I am putting dibs on a beach hammock.

Happy Easter to all our friends here on the DISboards!

Happy Easter!
I finished making my fish extender gifts today. Lots of extra for new joiners.

I am still working hard on mine. (We are giving out several small home made gifts, but one of them takes quite some time to finish. ;)) Thankfully we have another few weeks to go! :thumbsup2

Happy Easter to all who are celebrating. To those making their way through Passover... It is almost over, Yay!!

Anyone interested in doing the mixology class. I have never done it but in reading through posts about it, it sounds like fun and we may be able to get a group together for a private class. I would be willing to look in to this if people are interested.

Is it like a tasting?

Yes that is my understanding. There are reviews of it on the board and a lot of what I have read says that it fills up very quickly. If done privately we are guaranteed to get in as it is open to only those who sign up for it this way.

Once we are at least close to the 25 I will contact DCL and see what is next. I will likely need your stateroom number but I am not sure what else. We are halfway there so hopefully this works.

Hi, sound like fun but no good for me or Richard as we don't drink..... now if it was a chocolate tasting :-)
