Does anyone pack an iron? Would a travel iron be wise to pack???

DCL will confiscate it before you get on the ship.
The last cruise I did in June, the passenger behind me had an iron in their carry on. Security found it during the luggage scan and asked the passenger to open up their suitcase to remove it. I'm sure they scan the checked luggage too.

Wow! The boards are really full of activity! I was away for a few days and wow! So much updating to do, and so many Word With Friends games to catch up on. The pressures of summer holidays!!!

I have updated the cruiser list and fish extender list. Please do check for accuracy. TMelchiorre - you are in!

Let's consider the FE extender closed now.
Please make sure names and ages are correct in case any keen crafter is personalizing their items. If there are any changes to cabins aboard, leave a post it note on our cabin door so your FE treats will arrive at the correct cabin.

In the unlikley event that we are bumped to a suite with veranda by chance, I will leave a post it on the doors of FoxFam5 and Fatima1922 to redirect the messaging to our new door.

I will be travelling with three teen boys (14. 15, 16) and we have signed up for the Atlantis day. They have been signed up for the teen beach at castaway cay as well. Any other teens doing the same?

I read that kids should go to the clubs the first night as friendships are facilitated easily that night as everyone is new, so that is our plan.

We lock the cell phones in the safe the first night on all holidays. Somehow, the teens survive. There is internet available. This will be the first time that they may be interested in checking Facebook?

You are right it will be pretty similar, though times of activities could be different, but gives you ideas of what could be offered

the kids are so excited now that they know we are going! We told them fri night, we usually wait until the day of, last time we were boarding the plane before they knew. The keep asking what can we make next and have some clothes in there suitcases too. They know we are going to Washington and then Baltimore to take in a baseball game. They then think we are going to Busch gardens in Williamsburg. The problem with my son is that he is always busy planning "what's next" instead living in the moment. If he knew about the cruise, the first 9 days of the holiday would be 'waiting' to get on board and I don't want that.
We are heading up to ny after Baltimore and staying in double tree in jersey city ( where I hope I can wash all our clothes!)
Not sure how we are going to do the reveal -night before/ morning/ terminal- all ideas welcome! I was wondering whether we would see ship coming in from hotel?? But guessing that would involve an early morning ( I don't really want to wake them, knowing how long the day could be
I hope they love it, it's the only Disney thing we haven't done ( we even got married in wdw- we are THAT committed to the mouse... Kids missed that by 5 years though!)
