August 17, 2010 - From Keys to shining Cay.

Welcome fellow cruisers to the August 17th cruise board. We just returned home from a seven day Eastern trip and can't wait to get back on the ship for more fun. We will be joined by our DD/SIL, DS/DIL, and our SIL's family. There are 10 of us so far (when we book in December, waiting for our 2009 DVC points). Anyway, we are looking forward to meeting more DISboarders on this cruise, so join the forum and lets begin our countdown.

Please visit post #10 in this thread for updates on door magnets, fish extenders, and other activities we can do while on board the Disney Wonder.

Welcome aboard. Looking forward to meeting you in exactly one year. More information to come as we plan for a "meet" on board. We were on the August 1, 2009 cruise and we had a meet in the Promenade Lounge on board the Magic and I assume we will probably do the same.

Anyway, have a great year and we look forward to communicating on the DISboards over the next 12 months.

We will be on this cruise. Another family invitied us to tag along with a larger party, but we don't really know many from the bigger group.

Welcome aboard Tammi-Sue and family. You will have a great time aboard the Wonder, as well as on the boards. We are beginning to get a good group of sailors joining us so far and we hope to have many more by departure time.

Have you sent away for your DCL DVD? This is a great way to spend an evening as you anticipate the fun.

OK, I would never had thought of doing anything like this, but on our last cruise there were over 60 people from the Boards that were on the cruise and they did so many wonderful things together. So why not do something together on the Key West Cruise?!

Of course everything mentioned in this post is voluntary, but it will give you an idea what we can do.

1. Meet together at 3 PM in the Promenade Lounge on day of departure. Gives us an opportunity to meet and greet others before the Mickey party.

2. Fish Extenders on the doors.

3. Door Magnets

4. PALO brunch as a group (if they have this)

And we have room for other activities as they come up.

My Mom, Husband, and I will be on this cruise. we will be celebrating our 5's... mom's 55th birthday and hubby and I 5th wedding anniversary .

I am not big into the fish extenders. I will think about that one. I also don't know much about door magnets.
